Aerclayr still found himself being the victim of some strange, attractive force. He couldn't for the life of himself figure out the source of the seemingly untraceable pull.
"What the hell?" Aerclayr started to say, but was cut-off when a strange transmission began featuring a language foreign and unknown to the mercenary.
He couldn't make it out - just an audio message, no video feed. The computer apparently could not translate, either.

Jad opened the door to his ship once nina'd gone to find Damien and the fixed droid.
"Grand Admiral!" It said, bowing.
"I see you fixed it Damien. now. Pyresian defense drone. please tell me the location of the nearest Pyresian ship."
"Sentinel system. Active ship. Flagship class."
Jad was surprised, "I need to tell Nina right away!"

Damien just kinda nodded slightly, having absolutely nothing to say or do in his pathetic life currently.

Layla found herself surrounded by dozens of half-mechanical beasts, their faces dark and shadowy with glowing red eyes, their bodies metallic and blood drenched. The room she was trapped in was a large combat training room, all but one of the lights were off, cast into darkness. A deep, growling sound started up from one of the wolf-like creatures, it's metallic fangs were just barely visible in the limited light. Layla backed up defensively, frantically looking around for the way out. "Let me out! I don't want to do this anymore!" Layla shouted out into the room, her glance focused on the large window towards the ceiling. No response came. The beasts were closing in on her, cornering her. Layla pressed herself as far against the wall as she could -but it was no use, one of the wolves had already dug it's razor sharp teeth into her leg that had not yet been mechanical. Layla cried out in pain, the creatures all started to attack at once, though a few of them had been struck away by her counterattacks -thankfully for Layla, her arms were mechanical at this time in the past. As much as she struggled to do so, Layla was able to fend off the wolves, destroying a few of them. The beasts ran off to the other end of the room, giving Layla a temporary reprieve. Though the fight was far from over -something bigger was awoken in the process. Everything was dark and filled with much uncertainty, time was running thinner by the second. Suddenly a gigantic claw came into view under the light, an even bigger paw formed around that claw out of the darkness. Layla dragged herself along the wall, reaching towards the nearest door. The behemoth of a creature was quickly gaining in on her, its huge face nearly pressed up against her as it caught up. It all seemed to be over, any minute now would be Layla's end. Everything faded to darkness, leaving the rest unknown. Layla slowly opened her eyes, realizing that she had passed out in the hallway of the lab. She sat up against the wall, holding her knees close to her chest. 'I still don't know how I survived...I should be dead by now...that thing should've killed me...perhaps everything would be better if it had...'

Kaito ducked around a corner in the Ascendant Dragon. He'd barely missed a patrol of the Pyresian drones. he worked his way up to the bridge to find it manned by the same automated machines.
"Hull integrety at 100%. thrusters at 90%. Distance covered: 2 inches." One of the whiteish machines reported to one with a blue bar on it's chest.
"Dark Eagle's signal is nearing 140 lightyears. We must head towards the largest Pyresian fleet for a new commanding officer. Jupiter is unresponsive or offline. Dark Eagle is the only active ship."
Kaito backed away and fell into an open doorway. it sealed shut behind him. he tried to open it as the room darkened, then, it lit up...
It was a galaxy of data, swirling around, but then it became clear. it was a war between a red side and a blue side. There were thousands, no, millions of fleets fighting across the galaxy. their enemy was even more numerous. the battle was a stalemate, but then... the blue side withdrew into a large marker. All but two. one, very small, and colored green, shot out of the large blue marker. The other was a single ship, which stayed in the same spot. the markers faded away as the scene became a star map in 3 dimensions. he almost didn't recognize it until more markers appeared. a large globular mass, (tinted orange) covered the stars, and when he looked at it, he realized what it was. it was the Empire Luminus. The ship had just displayed some sort of history scene to him, ending with modern day... then he saw something that turned his awe to dread. The red fleets were slowly moving in on the Empire.

[I'm sorry. I don't understand... is the Empire being attacked now? Or is this just a flash back? In which case, are the current rulers the invading aliens or did the Empire win?]

(the hologram was the fall of the Pyresian Republic. the Empire hologram is the current state of things. they are coming...)

(the race that beat the Pyresians are going to attack. they haven't arrived yet. The pyresians are all dead, except Jad. he's the last one. The aliens that are coming are the enemies of the pyresians, and they're bringing friends.)
