" I only have five minutes left now. Instead of fighting you fools. I'll show you what to expect!" he said waving his hands. at that moment reality seemed to bend and darkness was around them. Then suddenly they found themselves in a nice city. Kids where playing. People where going about there business.


EEF pointed up to a bpurple dot in the sky. " That was me." he said. The old EEF came into view. He was around 17 and had short purple hair. His eyes glowed purple as he pointed at the city. There was a feeling of overwhelming evil.


Then there was a flash and they where standing in the same spot. but everything was on fire. Bodies laid in the street multiated and ravaged. The kid who where playing where in pieces. The smell of burning flesh was everywhere." This is what I was. this was done in 10 minutes. Soon i shall be like this again!" EEf said laughing before the flashback faded away and back into the forest....

Five minutes was up. THe glow in Mergex's eye faded. He looked around and started laughing in his normal voice. " That was my fathers spirt! The one you saw in the flashback was him! I shall bring him about again. And then you and this school will suffer" Mergex said laughing loudly.

" Because of Gordon and Shepard. If they haden't come here then you would have been left alone. But now! Everybody dies! I take back what I said. I realize everyone needs to die. Including your brother. You fear me because i have power. And soon my father shall return and be feared just the same!" he said laughing again. His aura started going crazy setting fire to the ground around him.

Pander picked up Yume's bag, slingging it over his left shouder. He picked up Yume's jacket, stuffing it in the bag. He picked her up in his arms, gently touching the tattoo on the back of her neck. He could feel the heat coming from it. This was bad.

Don't worry. I'm here. I think I can carry you to the village from here.

He set out again, heading in the same direction as before. His pace was much quicker now, though he was still walking. He looked down and realized exactly what she was wearing. He cursed in his mind as he held her close to his body. The edges of his jacket and cloak both covered Yume easily.

Close to my short cut now... very close.

In all her crying and heated restlessness, he had made the base of the mountain. He had done it in two hours faster than he had hoped. He kicked a tree, a small piece of it's bark falling off. He put Yume down against the tree and collected a few small plants from the immediate area. He used his Jangen's dagger to cut up the plant leaves into a fine powder like substance. He added water from his bottle to the mixture and turned it to a paste. He plastered it onto the piece of bark.

Leaning Yume forward to pressed it to her neck. He pulled a long cloth out from his pocket and tied the bark to her neck. It's cooling sensation should have begun to work at the moment of contact. He leaned her back against the tree then dropped the bags to the ground. He pulled her out her jacket and a sweater. Easing the jacket around her shoulders he smiled. He set the sweater on her lap before standing up and lighting a cigarette that seemed to just appear in his hand.

Rest now. For a time we will stay here, but we camp a short distance off. The next while will be filled with traps and obsticles. Try and sleep. That compress will relieve the heat from that tattoo and should help stop that cold that seems to be creeping up on you.

Yume watched drowsily as Pander lit a cigarette. The crystallized tears were still in her hand, turning warm from her palm. She lifted her hand up and held one of the marble-like tears. As she lifted it up, she remembered her sniper-like skills. How could I forget? She removed the cloth, folding it up as she did so, and placed the remedial bark/paste down. She reached into her bag and brought out a glove with a machine shooter ((like Hagiri Kaname from YuYu Hakusho)) that could shoot things smaller in circumference than a marble with a diameter of 2 inches. Yume placed the glove on and turned her palm to the sky, siming the slingshot at a nearby branch on a tree a few yards away. Concentrating, she shot a small pebble in the direction of the branch and it hit it, making the the branch wobble a little bit, and then fall off the tree. She winced. That was pretty loud... Should we set up camp here for tonight? It's getting dark...

No.

He turned and walked past her to the tree she had been leaning against. He reached into a hole with his hand. A long line appeared on a rock face next to the tree. The line got thicker, or did it? It was a door way into a long tunnel. Wall torches jumped to life in the brackets as Pander entered.

The stone was nicely pollished but still grey. The soft dripping of water echoed through the tunnel. Pander looked to Yume, offering her his hand. He was the only person alive or dead to know the secrets of this place. This place he had called home before leaving for Ria. This tunnel would lead to the chamber where he had laid his swords down.

Lily nodded. That explained it.

"It's alright Naht. Pretty much I kicked butt....then he kissed me, trying to get me back....and I said no, but he got sick, he started spitting out blood and fell to the ground. Liz and I helped him to the hospital where I -once again- had to get my stomache restitched. Turns out there was a small cut on his heart and no one knows how it happened." Lily shrugged.

"Liz thinks it's my fault....is she right Naht? Is it my fault?" Lily asked, a little worried, because deep down, she knew it was all her fault for not loving him like she should have.
