There was a slight nagging feeling tugging at her hands. She glanced at them, the hue was a deeper pink, borderline red almost, and stayed there a few mere seconds before simply vanishing. That was odd. Her hands had always turned a brilliant yet pale pink or a glowling green. The dark color was a new development, something she'd have to check on later. After her quick mental note she turned her attention once more to Mike. It must feel horrible to feel so awkward, she thought lightly still smiling, not even having the annoying feeling herself thanks to her odd ability. It made her. . .almost heartless to think such a thing she realized quickly before too shoving that thought away.
But ever persistent it was and it kept creeping back into her mind. Mmmm, power. She soon found herself mentally grinning. No, no, no! That wasn't right. Not in the slightest. Yet something in her was preventing her from pushing it away. Her hands felt hot, a small tingling burning sensation began to spread through her ten digits.
All of this happened within a few seconds. Her thoguht process was rapid, especially thanks to being exposed to a lousy, mind-reading, eves dropping Pyschic! She thought before recalling Karri back into her Pokeball. She closed her eyes and taking in a deep breath, nothing escaped her Pokemon's mind. Psychic Pokemon were highly intelligent and signifigantly moreso than herself and she knew that well.
"How about a battle?" she asked. Granted challenging Mike probably wasn't the smartest idea, and she couldn't recall the last time she'd ever won, but it was something to take her mind off this. . .almost itching feeling. Either not caring to hide it any longer, or just hasty she flicked a Pokeball across the field, her hands glowing an eerie red, before taking a few jumps backwards to create room for a small beach side battle field. Her loyal green companion popped from the spherical machine and onto the sand, grinning at the sight of an old friend. "Ivy!" he roared happily, digging a paw into the sand.

Riza smiled and took her clothes from Keegan. "Uh, well thank you, kind sir," she replied with a giggle. "I'll only be a moment or two," she added before grabbing her bag and heading back to the change rooms. "Sneasel, be a good girl and wait here." While it hadn't bothered her initially, she now really wanted to get back into her normal clothes. This time she found an empty stall and went inside, quickly removing the robe and throwing it over the side. She quickly slipped her bikini bottoms on, followed by the bikini top. She pulled her skirt on as well, fastening up the clasp and adjusting it so that it fit perfectly. That being done, she put her sandals back on and went over to the vanity, running her brush through her hair a few more times before deciding to leave it down, although she did put her white bow back in her hair. She then put on a bit of makeup and packed up all her things once she was satisfied with her appearance.
"I'm ready," she announced as she came back into the lobby. "Where do you guys want to go for lunch?" She didn't know very much about Slateport at all, so she figured it would be best to leave the choice to someone else. Sneasel happily took up residence at her trainer's side, looking up at the other humans curiously.

Keegan looked from Kilik to Rena and nodded. "Yep, that's me," he nodded, shaking Rena's hand. "Sounds good," he added. After all he hadn't eaten since breakfast and he could feel the beginnings of hunger pangs start to rumble in his stomach. He watched Riza scamper off towards the change room from the corner of his eye, realizing she'd left her Sneasel behind. He studied the Pokemon for a few minutes, sensing that it was a very energetic little thing. It's times like this I wish I had one of those fancy PokeDex things Kasiya has, he thought, crossing his arms and looking around the center. He had certainly met a lot of interesting Pokemon since leaving Lavaridge Town, although he could hardly remember the names or types of any of them. Maybe this Professor Rowan character knew where he could get a PokeDex of his own.
When Riza came back he inadvertently smiled at the sight of her. She looks less stern and serious with her hair worn down, he thought. Not only that but the white bow was in stark contrast to her dark hair and it looked rather nice... His thoughts trailed off once he realized what he was doing and he frowned, shaking his head slowly. What was wrong with him? He was supposed to be giving her the brush off, not letting his inner monologue run the show. "I don't care where we go," he said suddenly. "Just as long as we don't take too long. I've got to get back to Kasiya and see how well she and her newest Pokemon are getting along." ===== One application of the Surf HM to Starrie and a trip to the Pokemon Center later, Miharu was once again doing what she did best, which was sitting and thinking about the day's events. It hadn't even gone past noon yet and the day had already been quite busy and eventful. She had found a quiet spot outside, and had found a small rock to sit upon while her Pokemon roamed freely around her. Her main goal for today had been to train and get enough rest before challenging Morty later on that evening, but after battling the Kimono Sisters, she was having second thoughts about taking on the gym leader. Sure, she'd won, but some of those victories had been shaky, at best. She looked over at Sparkle and Petunia, smiling a bit when she saw the two of them playing together. Sparkle was running around in circles, her tail beacon glowing brightly, and Petunia was trying to spin around on one foot and follow her moments. It all ended when both Pokemon fell over, completely dizzy. The only other Pokemon within Miharu's sights was Lily, who was quietly napping on her lap. The small girl gently stroked the Bulbasaur's head, wondering if the little grass type would ever choose to evolve. Having a strong Ivysaur on her team would definitely be an asset, but she certainly didn't want to force Lily to do something she didn't want to do.

Kasiya nodded, continuing to enjoy her Ramen as Crenu spoke. Battling with your Pokemon was the primary way to help them to become stronger, any Pokemon trainer worth their salt knew that. "I've seen some pretty cool Pokemon here in Hoenn," she nodded, very much agreeing about the knowledge being power bit. So many times had she only squeaked through a battle because she knew more about the Pokemon on the field than her opponent did. "I'd love to stay here in Hoenn and learn more about them myself, but I do have to go back to Kanto at some point to finish collecting the league badges there." Upon hearing this, both Ariel and Shocker let out cries of agreement. It was easy to see the determination in the Vaporeon and Raichu's eyes. Kasiya smiled at them and nodded. "Glad to see you guys agree," she laughed. She wouldn't dare take on the last two Kanto gyms without these two at her side - they both had played very important parts in helping her to win her first six. Replaying those fond memories over in her mind, Kasiya quickly finished off the remainder of her Ramen and pushed the bowl away. She found it a little hard to believe that she was full already, but with all this traveling she'd been doing over the last few months, she often forgot to eat and she was well aware of the fact that her stomach had seemingly shrank.
She leaned back in her chair, stretching her arms and sighing contentedly. By now most of her Pokemon had finished eating as well and were sitting nearby, the only exceptions being Adamantine and Nova. Adamantine was wandering around, finishing off everyone's leftovers, while Nova just picked at the rest of her food. Kasiya watched her Larvitar curiously. She'd been acting pretty strange since the battle with the surfer boy last night. That had been when she'd started to evolve, but stopped, and Kasiya didn't know why. Didn't most Pokemon strive for evolution, knowing it would make them stronger? As she continued to watch the Larvitar, a thought crossed her mind. Ada had always been a bit of a baby, and Kasiya couldn't help but wonder if she didn't want to evolve because it simply meant growing up. Kasiya sighed and smiled at the Larvitar as she plunked herself down at her trainer's feet. If Ada chose to evolve one day, she would. If not, well then that would be okay too.
=-=-=-=-= "Finish it off with a Metal Claw, Metang!" Jaeshan called, clenching a fist as he watched the dual Steel/Psychic type deliver the finishing blow to Loudred. The defeated Pokemon stumbled around a bit before collapsing and was promptly recalled by a rather furious-looking Janice.
"Okay Tropius, blast the two of them with your Razor Leaf!" she shouted, a mixture of panic and anger apparent in her voice. The Tropius, angry that its Body Slam had failed, rose up into the air again, its wings beating so fast they were nothing but greenish blurs. With a grunt the leafy Pokemon sent out a spray of razor sharp leaves flying towards Shelgon and Metang. Metang covered his face with his hands, peeking out through one eye as the leaves seemingly bounced harmlessly off of his steely body. Shelgon's tough shell was also virtually untouched, and the two Pokemon looked up at the Tropius, both eager to finish off their opponent.

Robin watched the battle from the sidelines and couldn't help but feel like she and her own pokemon needed a lot of training. She shouldn't probably battle any other trainers until she had her own pokemon maybe a little more disciplined and had ingrained it into Luffy's mind that he couldn't attack people who were not participating in the fighting part of the battle. She really hated to restrain his free spirit like that but sometimes it was necessary. Often times he got into trouble and by extension Robin in trouble, as much as she grumbled about it thought she wouldn't ever get truly mad at him for pretty much anything he did. Smiling slightly she hugged him a bit closer to her and gave him a smile before she got back to watching Jaeshan beat the crap out of this trainer.
Sensing that his partner was feeling better Luffy felt a bit better, he didn't know what had upset her but he was glad that it was over. He didn't like the fact that his nakama were upset at anything, that meant that something was wrong and he didn't like that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ampersand chuckled slightly at her comment and leaned back in his chair somewhat. "Yeah you haven't exactly been quiet about your doings." He paused slightly before leaning back in the beach chair stretching his somewhat bunched and soar muscles. "Anyway I met someone with a rather strange pokemon that seems to be able to stay awake near me. So I have been sorta following her to try to see why exactly that pokemon can stay up around me. I think it might just be because it doesn't know better or something."
Ampersand was quiet for a moment before he turned to her and thanked her with a serious face. "Thank you for coming. Really thank you. I didn't know if you would considering our last conversation." Even if he hadn't really shown it he had been and still was pretty upset about there last fight. He had missed his childhood friend and the fact that she was angry at him did not help him.
Flannery was rather enjoying her down time, stretched out on her blanket with Torkoal right beside her. She really needed to take more breaks like this one, as sometimes even she didn't realize how caught up in her gym leader duties she could get. Granted, the last few days hadn't exactly been taxing (although she did lose two matches in less than twenty-four hours...) but it was still nice, regardless.
Being the spirited and lively girl she was, however, she soon found herself becoming rather bored. Sure, lounging around on the beach was nice, but other than Torkoal, she was all alone. She sighed and sat up, lifting up her sunglasses to look around. There were all kinds of people around, though none of them looked familiar.
"Hey, wait a minute, aren't you Flannery, the Lavaridge Gym Leader?" a rather perplexed-sounding male voice cried out suddenly, and Flannery turned her head to see a rather tall (and nice-looking!) boy standing nearby, holding a blue and yellow surfboard. He had a dark complexion and short-cropped hair, and dark, brown eyes that reminded Flannery of chocolate. "I didn't know Gym Leaders took days off," he went on, coming a bit closer.
"Uh, no, I'm not Flannery," Flannery said jokingly, removing her sunglasses and looking up at the fella. "I do get that a lot though, gotta say I'm flattered every time." Torkoal tilted his head and stared at her as though she had three heads growing out of her neck, but Flannery didn't notice.
"Oh, yeah, I guess I was wrong," the boy laughed sheepishly. "I don't know what I was thinking - she's way prettier than you are." Uh oh. Torkoal's eyes went wide as saucers and without hesitation he withdrew each limb into his shell, peeking out fearfully as he prepared himself for the worst.
Flannery's eye began to twitch noticeably and it took every single ounce of willpower she had to restrain herself from leaping up and punching this guy right on the nose. "Thanks buddy, you really know what to say to get a girl's attention." The irritation in her voice was clear and she stood up slowly, smiling inwardly when he flinched upon realizing she stood a whole inch taller than he did. "You've insulted my honor now," she went on, tapping her fingers against her hip, eying the row of Pokeballs he wore on his belt. "Now we're gonna have a little match."
=-=-=-=-= Janice was looking very worried as now her Tropius was outnumbered. She grit her teeth, guilt starting to creep through her veins over getting extra money out of naive trainers. "Tropius... do something!" she cried, waving her hands around in the air. Tropius responded by growling and firing another wave of ineffectual leaves at the two Pokemon.
"It's time to end this," Jaeshan called firmly. "Confusion and Dragonbreath, go!" Shelgon reared back and let out the jet of bluish flames, its effect highlighted by the psychic energy Metang used to help steady it. The combined attacks slammed into the airborne Tropius and it began to fall from the sky, only to be recalled by Janice, who by now was looking utterly outraged. "That's it," Jaeshan said simply, holding out his hand. "You lost."
"Fine, whatever, it wasn't worth it anyway," she grumbled, reaching into her pocket. She uttered a few curse words before tossing the money at him and walking away.
Metang waved his hand over the money, levitating it up into Jaeshan's outstretched palm. "Great work, you two!" he said, nodding. "You guys did really well together, even though it was your first time being paired up." Shelgon nodded and gave a playful shove to Metang, who countered by playfully shoving Shelgon back. The two seemed to get along pretty well, which made Jaeshan quite happy.
=-=-=-=-= Her brow furrowed at the mention of the resistant Pokemon, and she frowned. "That's interesting, seeing as even Pokemon with Insomnia or Vital Spirit can't stay awake with you nearby. Interesting indeed." She touched a finger to her chin thoughtfully and pretended to study the pattern on the beach umbrella overhead.
She only smiled at the thanks, and nodded. "Well, if makes you feel better, I'm not really here because of you. I do have my own reasons for being here, none of which I feel like discussing right now." There was an obvious, yet rare bitterness in her voice. "And don't worry about it. All that is water under the bridge now anyways." She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees. She couldn't remember the last time she'd actually spoken with Ampersand face-to-face, but she did remember the yelling. While one not might know it, given her status, she wasn't a big fan of confrontation, yet she would not back down if provoked. She only hoped that today wouldn't end up like last time, she didn't think her heart could take anymore hurt.
Indeed, they really had hit it off, despite appearing to be polar opposites. Kirsa kept up fairly well with their small talk even though Sasha knew more about the shopping scene; military cadet or not, Kirsa -was- still a girl. She wasn't completely in the dark. Truth be told, even though Sasha was a little out there, Kirsa was quite happy they were getting along so well. With no siblings and no mother she had been alone a lot, and while she didn't mind, this did make for a wonderful change of pace.
As predicted, her new friend eventually spied something to her liking and with a shriek bolted toward it, leaving Kirsa to stumble after it. It was only a matter of time before it happened, really. Bemused she watched Sasha spaz over the small Pokemon plush. Honestly the cadet would have bet that Sasha would spaz over shoes instead of a plush, but hey, you leaned something new every day. Incidentally this was also why she never gambled - she was horrid at it. Well, at least this vendor was much nicer than the one she and Kilik had the brief run in with.
"I...what?" Kirsa blinked, looking from Sasha to the rack of plushies. "Er, well..." Something told her that arguing would do no good, and gods only knew what Sasha would do if she was questioned. Peering at the toys, it did not take her long to settle on one she liked - a pink puffball with rather large eyes and a curly tuft on it's forehead: a Jigglypuff. It was quite soft and cuddly, and cradling it close prompted Kirsa to smile, first at the jolly vendor then at Sasha. "Thank you...very much."
The TV hadn't been on long before it was switched off once more. Television had never perked his interests and it appeared to be too early for Rowan's speech. Touya let loose a bored sigh before walking a short distance into his room. It was simplistic. The walls shared a navy blue and white motif with his bedspread and pillows. The wood funiture was a rich mohagany and fit perfect with the color scheme. Most girl would have been shocked to learn that he himself had designed his room. Touya chuckled. Mitsu still didn't know about it either.
But then again there was a lot of things she didn't know. Like the whereabouts of thier parents or her true origins. She was an odd character, but he had long ago stopped feeling pitty for her. Having been away when she was a child the siblings didn't really know each other as such. But that fateful day in the forest had brought the two back together.
. . .The forest! That must be it! Change of any kind brings upon both benefits and consequences. The reason for the Pokemon, like the legendary Dratini, leaving Viridian Forest decades ago must be tied in with this change, this shift. He hasitly pushed back the chair to his desk, taking a seat, while reaching quickly, but gently, for a few pieces of torn paper. The paper was browning and torn along its edges. It was crinkled and ripped on one side. Chuncks of it were gone as well, burnt by the looks of it. However one piece looked fairly easy to decode. The burnt edges stopped at the appearance of a grin plastered onto a figure's face. From the knees up, the bottom was torn off and burnt as well, showed changed. From knee to grin the faint colors bordering the frame of the person grew increasingly darker from the pale pink, to a brilliant pink. From red to a deeper shade until the color was lost in the blackness of the burnt edge.
Tora trumpeted joyfully, not bashful at all in accepting Train's compliment. The simple-minded elephant rather liked this one now. M.A., meanwhile, only nodded with her typical smile and patted the Donphan's head fondly once more before recalling her (figuring that allowing the Pokemon to walk around, in her sporadically paralysis, was begging for trouble). The brunette, with a long breath, began to lead the way with Ulani in her arms, the lovey-dovey Smeargle in tow, flying behind them. M.A. mused about this last clause, wondering if the last Smeargle she saw flew, but who knew. "I guess you're free to come with us," she addressed this follower, although he didn't seem to care whether or not she gave him permission to or not. In his eyes lied only Ulani.
"So, where are you from, Train?" she asked conversationally, breaking away from her thoughts regarding the trailing Smeargle to her other companion. For whatever reason, that Pokemon seemed rather adamant on following the Cotton bird that was currently seeking refuge in her arms... "Tsk tsk, that's what you get for flirting," she murmured to Ulani, smirking as the bird squawked in her own defense, indignant.
---------
Jun stretched luxuriously towards the ceiling, his world pitch black until he removed his silk blindfold from his eyelids -- and even then his room was rather dark, for with the aid of curtains he rarely allowed that persistent sunlight disrupt his much needed beauty sleep. Very gingerly, he stepped out from beneath his heavy comforter, slipped into his cozy slippers, replumped his satin pillowcases -- for satin's the key to shiny hair, you know! -- and tucked his bedsheets in quite neatly before making any move towards the window.
The sun was brilliant outside, which Jun could have guessed from the time -- it was nearly noon. But today was his relaxing pamper-me day! Every beautician needed some rest too, especially if one had Jun's busy life. Yesterday, he had worked out the local salon for a couple hours, finished a wedding dress, completed a few designs for his personal notebook that might eventually yield a dream clothing line, and even dressed up as a girl so a good friend (and a paying one, of course, for Jun needed the cash for his fashion expenses) could show his parents that yes, he did have a girlfriend, so no, he wasn't a loser who couldn't get laid.
Jun's slim frame hardly showed fatigue now, though. "Leeron, are you up here?" he called out into the silent house (his auntie, Officer Joy of Solaceon, was as usual out of the house already, although even if she was here he usually tried not to give her too much trouble). The Jynx cried mournfully from the bathroom, sending red Louis Vuitton scarves waving in Jun's mind. "Oh dear girlfriend, what have you done to your beautiful hair?" Jun cried, having ran to the scene after hearing the pain in Leeron's voice; for he could understand the pain of any woman's heart! Before his eyes, he saw the Jynx's golden curls hacked off in the front. "How many times have I told you, let me layer your hair? Oh, this is awful," the man murmured, lifting a few strands of the Pokemon's hair tentatively. The Jynx choked on a sob. "No, no, don't fret my love! Remember, I'm Jun, I can fix anything. And this looks like a good case of moisturizing and an even trim would make it fine," Jun said, pausing to think. "Hmm... yes, yes, it's still fixable. Thank god you didn't keep going."
Within a matter of time, Leeron was sporting an edgy blunt-bang look to which Jun was rather satisfied with. "It ain't Victoria Beckham, but it'll do," he said, obviously rather proud of his work anyways. And of course Lee thought it was peachy too, since Jun did.
After this and other morning rituals required to look fabulous for the day, a fully dressed Jun and Leeron hit town, walking with their usual swag. The townsfolk, accustomed to the flamboyant youngster by now, gave them their usual greeting, which Jun usually answered with a lenghthier reply -- "Oh, Rosie, you're looking absolutely stunning today! Did you change conditioners?" -- "Robbie, I heard Marie said yes! Congratulations!" though to himself, he thought it was quite a shame such a beautiful man should be taking away by a witch with bad cuticles and crooked teeth.
Eventually, their morning (or noontime, now) exercise took them to the PokeCenter. "Lee, why don't we 'allo' the Nurse today? Maybe the kids need some new 'cuts. I got a few new styles I'd like to find guinea pigs for," Jun said, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. And so the two entered like they owned the place.
Jun smiled upon seeing the cheerful pink-haired Nurse Joy, one of the kindest women he ever happened to meet. No malevolence at all. "My my, my darling Nurse, good morning to you." In typical Jun fashion, though, he didn't refrain from coming up close the the counter and speaking as frankly as he usually did. "Have you been overworking yourself lately? Those dark circles are hideous, pardon, you must know you're a ridiculously attractive woman, though sleep does do the body good."
He glanced over at the other chap in the room -- right, this one... must be that Aidan, the one who had got in a fight the other day. Look at that terrible scar; Jun winced inwardly when he imagined such a scar landing upon his own gorgeous face. He managed a brief smile towards his direction, but truthfully Jun wasn't all that interested. Though there was a certain sexiness in this fellow's rough edges... Hmmmm, Jun thought, readjusting his black-rimmed glasses momentarily and snaking another look in the other guy's direction.
Aidan watched as suddenly the room seemed to get a bit brighter and louder. A slight frown appeared on Aidan's face as he saw Officer Jenny's younger cousin come into the building. He didn't really like the boy all that much since he never really saw him doing something. Then again he would never say anything about it nor would he ever show it. Sighing he hoped that the machine would hurry up and heal his pokemon, he had to head back to the station to report back to Officer Jenny. Finally the machine he was leaning on beeped telling him that it was done. Picking both of his pokeballs up he gave a quick nod to Jun and thanked Nurse Joy for letting him use the healer. "Thank you Nurse Joy, I hope to see you again tonight. Call me if you need anything." That said he walked past the two and out the door of the pokemon center.
Nurse Joy on the other hand liked Jun a lot. When he came up to the counter she smiled brightly at him and giggled slightly at his complements. "Oh I would get some more rest but I have been so busy lately getting ready for the influx of new trainers. I am so glad to have Aidan helping me out. I would be getting no sleep if it wasn't for him. Still having you come to visit me and giving me beauty tips helps to." She paused for a second before asking curiously. " So how have you been? Life treating you well?"
~~~~~~~~~~~
Robin started clapping when she saw that Jaeshan had won the battle. Not sure if she should go up to him she chewed her bottom lip for a second before making up her mind. Going up to him with a small smile on her face hoping that he wouldn't mind her talking to him. "Congratulations Jaeshan." She didn't really know what else to say so she shuffled where she was standing for a second before glancing down at his pokemon. "Did Beldum evolve?" She blurted out hoping to avoid some awkward silence. She didn't really know, he could just have a similar looking pokemon but she was pretty sure it was the same one.
On her shoulder Luffy looked down at the floating platinum and gold pokemon. It was floating! And it was bigger now! Deciding to go on impulse he jumped from her shoulder and onto the floating pokemon. Maybe he could surf around on it! That would be super cool!

Jaeshan had been about to recall both Shelgon and Metang when he heard a familiar voice from behind him. He turned on a heel, stuffing the recovered money into his pockets, and was pleasantly surprised to see the cute redhead from last night standing there with her energetic Aipom, Luffy. "Thanks, Robin," he said, smiling down at her. He was actually quite glad to see a friendly face after that last battle. Sure he'd won, but knowing there were people like Janice in the world, willing to take advantage of others, set him on edge. "Yeah, he just evolved a little while ago," he said with a nod. "He's a Metang now."
At first Metang was rather stunned to have the little purple critter jump up onto him like that, but after a moment or two he realized that Luffy just wanted to play, and that he meant no harm. Arms flailing somewhat happily, Metang began to twirl around slowly, rising up and down like some sort of carnival ride. Shelgon watched the two of them somewhat enviously before turning her back on them and choosing to stay by Jaeshan, who was chuckling at the two Pokemon's antics. "So what have you guys been up to?" he asked, turning back to Robin. "And have you seen M.A. around? There's something I need to give her."
=-=-=-=-= "Whoa, calm down! I didn't mean it like that!" The surfer boy protested defensively, throwing his hands in the air. He was obviously intimidated by the fiery redhead before him, and he continued to step away from her, his surfboard long forgotten on the sand.
"It's too late to apologize now," Flannery went on, fire practically burning in her eyes. "Squashing you like a bug in a battle is the only thing that'll make me feel better!"
"Fine, fine, have it your way," he said finally, grabbing one of his Pokeballs and holding it up. "Anything to make you stop already!" He released his Pokemon, which materialized in the sand in front of him, and as it came into view it was far from impressive. It was a worm-like Pokemon with a strange, pointed tail, and it was hardly moving. Flannery raised an eyebrow at the sight of it and shook her head. "Don't you dare underestimate my Dunsparce!" the boy shouted. "He's stronger than he looks!"
Flannery nodded slowly, knowing very well that he could be right. There were quite a few gym matches she'd had where she would have won if only she hadn't been so overconfident and underestimated her opponents. It didn't look to be very fast, so she gave the nod to Torkoal, who popped out of his shell and crept over to face off against the Dunsparce. "Let's do this!"

Raddish was only slightly quicker than George and managed to just dodge the tackle. She was amused by how angry George seemed to be. The oddish didn't have that much time to laugh though, George rebounded and came at her again, this time landing a bite attack on one of her leaves. She was glad to see he wasn't using full force on her, but his teeth on her leaves tickled some.
"Alright George, back up. Now let Raddish attack and you dodge this time." Serenity called to her pokemon. They seemed to be keeping the attack levels down, so she felt no need to get up from her seat in the nice cool sand. Although she looked down at the end of her hair, and noticed that it had been sitting in the mud for a while, and was starting to turn the golden yellow to a more, icky brown colour. She rolled her eyes, 'I guess I need to head into the water after all. Or to a shower.'
George really wasn't in the mood for this right now. He was tired, and the grumbling in his stomach told him he was also hungry. Still, he listened to his trainer and backed up a few paces giving the Oddish room to attack. Once again the Mudkip witnessed a glowing green energy emerge from the plant pokemon's body and start to head in his direction. He wondered suddenly if there was any way to dodge an attack like that. George shook his head. He was stronger, and therefore he was faster. The mudkip waited until the last possible moment and jumped out of the way. The energy seemed to miss him, and George couldn't help but feel very smug about being able to dodge the attack. So smug in fact, he didn't notice that the energy rebounded and got him from behind.
Radish danced a little when she realized her attack had landed, but in her glee, she missed the fact that George was now more mad than tired, and she failed to dodge a huge wave of mud that came up from the ground and knocked her off her little feet. When she got back up she was a little bit dazed and noticed that she couldn't see as well. 'cheater!' she thought. She had been going easy on him, since they were supposed to be friends, but something told her that she just got hit with a full attack.
"Odddddish!!!" She yelled to her teammate. Then with all her might sent the bigest green energy ball his way.
'Oh, this doesn't look good.' Sere thought. 'Well, she does owe him one, but then they stop.' She wondered how on earth she was going to teach these two to not take tempertantrums. Though she had to admit to herself, she loved the way neither one of them was willing to lose.

Train glanced between the strange flying Pokemon with a paintbrush tail and the little blue bird in M.A.'s arms, pulling out her Pokedex and scanning both of them, listening to the electronic voice's description of each. Smeargle and Swablu...they sounded pretty cool. Especially the Smeargle--being able to make drawings come to life? That sounded awesome! Her thoughts trailed to the sketchbook that was sitting in her messenger bag back at the lockers, but she was pulled from the thoughts as M.A. began talking to her.
"I'm from Pallet Town in the Kanto region," Train replied, realizing just how far away she was. And there were so many Pokemon here that she'd never even heard of before! It was pretty neat. "What about you?" She asked, looking at the other girl.

Miharu sat with her Pokemon for quite some time before she recalled everyone and headed off to find somewhere to go for a lunch. After they finished up there, Miharu checked her watch again and looked up at the bright blue sky. Morty's gym wasn't going to open its doors until after sundown, and Miharu knew she had a lot of free time to kill before then. As much as she wanted to keep training with her Pokemon, she also didn't want to wear them out before having a big match like that. Maybe we'll do some moderate training until around suppertime, have a good, nourishing meal and then see how we feel after that, she thought as she walked, not even really noticing as she passed by the two towers she'd seen earlier that day. Before long she'd gone out of the city limits and was now standing on the same ground that she'd battled on that morning, with Gretchen, the girl who'd attempted to steal her bike.
The ground at her feet hadn't been scuffed up too much, as the majority of the battle had been waged in the air between her Pidgeotto and the redhead's Noctowl. Miharu smiled at the memory of how well Aska had fought, not only against the large owl but also against the Kimono Sisters. She'd known the bird for barely a week, and already she'd evolved from her base form and learned several new attacks. Now that she thought about it, all of her Pokemon were doing very well, specifically Tingle and Lily, but she figured that was because she'd been with the Metang and Bulbasaur the longest. The other four weren't up to par with her two primary Pokemon, and she couldn't help but want to change that fact. She wanted a full team of six Pokemon that she could depend upon.
Miharu wandered a little further down the path, coming up to an unoccupied, grassy area that looked like it could be a good place to do some training. Deciding for now that Lily and Tingle wouldn't be seeing any action, she sent out Starrie, Aska, Sparkle and Petunia. The Staryu, Pidgeotto, Flaaffy and Pinsir first looked at each other before looking to their trainer, eagerly awaiting instruction. "We've got an important Gym Battle coming up," she told them firmly. "And I need all of you guys to be at your best. So let's get this training started!"

First up, Miharu decided that trying to control all four of her Pokemon at once would probably be the best course of action, but could easily end up getting out of control very quickly. So, instead she pointed at Starrie and Aska and snapped her fingers, and without hesitation the Staryu and Pidgeotto took their positions on the field. Miharu felt a little bad for Starrie, wishing she could let the water type get some practice battling in actual water, as at some point it would probably be useful. There wasn't any usable bodies of water anywhere around them though, so for now this would have to do.
The small girl cleared her throat before looking to Starrie, figuring she'd let the starshape Pokemon make the first move since it was the only one who hadn't battled recently. "I want you guys to pick your own attacks," she told them carefully. "I won't be telling you what moves to use, but I will occasionally shout out an order or tricky command and I want you to execute it as soon as you can. I'm going to give out points based on how well you each do, and at the end of our training session, the Pokemon who's racked up the most points gets a new TM move to learn. Got it?"
When she was sure everyone understood what she meant she pointed at Starrie. Without hesitation the Staryu shot up off the ground and began to careen towards Aska at a very quick pace - Rapid Spin. Aska barely had time to react, and managed to avoid being crashed into, but she did feel a few feathers pulled from her body by the sheer momentum coming from the Staryu. The bird let out an annoyed screech and flew up into the air, determined to not let that happen again.
