"No... please don't die..." Reia sobbed as she fell to her knees. She crawled to the spot where Nolan lay bleeding, and tried to pry the arrow from his chest. Nolan looked at her in shock and whispered, "What are you doing, girl?"
"I'm trying to save you, that's what I'm doing!" Reia cried, tears streaming down her face. "I need to heal you... I can't let you die..."

"This is quite confusing. I thought that we were going to finish him because of the way he was treating you. You would prefer to let someone like this live instead of gaining your freedom from such abuse?" Konoe placed his tome back into his coat pocket, "Please think carefully about what you are doing. Reia turned to Konoe with tears in her eyes. "True, I don't want to be his slave anymore. But that does not mean that I wish to kill him..."
Reia sobbed as she watched Nolan bleed. "I can't bear to think that I caused anyone pain. That I caused anyone's death. I just... can't. I would never live with myself."
"I know this seems odd to you. That's why I didn't want you involved..." I didn't want you to think me odd...

"If he lives, there will be far more pain and suffering to follow, not only to you, but also to others that we may not be aware of. You may not be his first victim, and most likely you will not be his last," He sighed and closed his eyes, "I do not like the idea of pain and bloodshed either. If there was another way that we can prevent him from causing anymore grief, then I would gladly use that course instead."

((currently reia and konoe are in reia's mind, fighting this whole thing out. so it could still be some time before they pop out xD;; . however, you can roam around the wind clan area if you like Owo ))

Reia sighed, then looked at Nolan sadly. She turned to Konoe, with questions in her eyes. "Do you think I could change him?"
"If I change him, he won't be evil, right? And then I could save him from himself! And... and he wouldn't be so... mean to me anymore!"
Nolan rolled his eyes, sarcastic even when he seemed to be dying. "Why don't you just let me die?" Nolan looked at her with a look in his eyes. "I've been cruel to you. Doesn't that mean anything?"
Reia looked down at the boy. "Yes... but I'd rather be the hero than the monster that you were to me."

"Hmm...there are issues of morality that are at stake here. Nonetheless, I too would prefer life over death for anyone. How are you planning on changing him? We certainly can't let him running around during the time to cause trouble for anyone else..." an idea sparked in his mind, making him pause for a brief instant, "...I do have that memory erasure spell I spoke of earlier. Of course, I would have to recover my power first."

Reia glanced at Nolan. "I suppose that would be best. We'd have to get out of her for you to regain your strength." She turned to Konoe. "Are you all right to stand? I'm going to have to carry Nolan."
Nolan glared at the girl. "Why are you doing this?"

Konoe nodded, indicating he was okay with walking on his own. Then he turned to Nolan, "You should know by now why she is doing this for you."

Reia rolled her eyes and threw Nolan gently onto her back. "Whatever." Nolan replied, a slight blush beginning on his cheeks. "She's still my property."
Reia grunted. "Do you want me to leave you here to die?" She began walking when Nolan said nothing. "I didn't think so."
Reia began to walk in a south-westerly direction, then turned to Konoe. "It's this way. I will create a portal where the light meets the gray."

Reia began to walk a slower pace, making sure that Konoe would not get lost.
Nolan murmured against her back, and she realized that he had fainted. She sighed and held him tighter so that he would not fall.

Reia smiled at Konoe and shook her head. "No, it's fine. You have no strength. I was merely grumbling because he fell asleep."
She looked in front of her. "We're almost there. We just have to cross the borderline. Do you see it?" Reia smiled at the light. It was better than having to deal with the obnoxious gray...
