"Oh." Selene said looking the massive books in front of her. "I think it would be wise if you looked at these with me." Selene sat on the couch with a great clump as the couch gave way under her. "oh dear I'm sorry. She scooted to make more room from Alex.
Just then some foot steps could be heard up stairs. "If you have company i could wait for another time." She smiled almost sadly.

Will downed his ale and left the bottle for the woman, "Thank you." The bartender smiled and took the glass. Will headed back outside. His merlin came down and perched itself on his shoulder. Will looked at it and smiled, "Anything?" The merlin sort of shook it's head quickly. "It's ok Sarrow. Settle.." The merlin stopped shaking and folded it's wings. Will smiled again and started walking down through the city. So far, all I've solved is that people seem really quiet. Will took out a notebook and wrote it down. The date was on the top of the page. He sighed and started looking for a quiet place for him to collect his thoughts.

Alex heard the footsteps from upstairs as well. "No worries about that. We have time to look at them." she told Selene.
So, Alex sat down next to her sister and grabbed one of the volumes. She moved so the large book was sitting on both their knees. Turning to the 1st page, she showed Selene a picture of the 2 of them right after they were born.
"Of course," Alex then stated, "You ARE the cutest of the 2, for sure."

Two babies stared up of her one with one with blue eyes one, with green. She stroked the cheek of the baby that had her eyes.
The roamed threw pages and pages of the to of them playing in cribs and sleeping always side by side. Then a picture of a man and one woman holding the sleeping babies smiling big smiles.
'Those they must be our parents." Selene pointed at the couple.

Selene smiled at the new person. She never was around people much living with Gamsi. Well mostly sick people but they never talked much... normally just a lot of moan of pain.
"Hi! I'm Selene!" she said quickly then blushed madly at her quick response.

Will walked a bit farther into the city until he found a small park. He smiled, grateful for a place to sit down and think. He approached an unoccupied bench and sat down. He looked at the trees around him and took his sketchbook back out. He started drawing random things he had seen since he got here: the gates, the bartender, a squirrel in a tree a couple feet ahead of him.

Nola da Goat Marra reached into her satchel, pulling out a blank piece of paper and a charcoal stick, making a rough map and circling several sections. "You'll most likely find them here, here, or here." She illustrated each place with a tap before handing the paper over to Alyssa. "I hope that's helpful." ((That's alright.))
Calib took a look at the map and shook his head. "She's going to get lost even with a map and a tour guide... But thanks." Alyssa stuck her tongue out in a childlike manner while Calib bowed his head and took the map. "I may have a horrible sense of direction," muttered Alyssa, "but so do you." Out of the corner of Calib's eye, he saw something drift to the floor. "Uh, is this yours?" he asked, reaching to pick it up. "It must've fallen out when you were going to draw us that map." Calib didn't want to be rude, but he couldn't help himself when he briefly saw the contents of the paper. "Oh, sorry about that." He said sheepishly, and gave the paper back hastily.

Mei Mahou Calib took a look at the map and shook his head. "She's going to get lost even with a map and a tour guide... But thanks." Alyssa stuck her tongue out in a childlike manner while Calib bowed his head and took the map. "I may have a horrible sense of direction," muttered Alyssa, "but so do you." Calib didn't want to be rude, but he couldn't help himself when he briefly saw the contents of the paper. "Oh, sorry about that." He said sheepishly, and gave the paper back hastily. Marra froze, looking at Calib, her cool completely broken by this simple incident. She wanted to reach for the page, but her body just wouldn't move. Finally, she managed to gather her wits enough to mechanically take the page back, not bothering to stuff it away at this point. She simply placed it face down on the table. Her eyes locked with Calib, as if asking him what he had seen, and silently pleading him not to speak of it. After a moment, she dropped her gaze, almost defeated. If her was and Elemental, and she was fairly sure he probably was, it would be done. He would either causally mention this to his teacher, thinking nothing of it, or report her. Either way, it probably meant the worse. With a sigh, she looked at Alyssa. It took all she had in her not to cry with frustration. "Anything else I can do for you?"

Alyssa couldn't understand the look on the stranger's or Calib's face. 'Perhaps something against him?' she wondered silently. Alyssa shook her head and smiled. "Thank you for your kindness. May I know what your name is?" Calib seemed to be deep in thought, and Alyssa thought it sort of rude that he had looked at something without the stranger's permission. 'I need to stop calling her that...'

"My name?" Marra flushed a bit. They'd get it sooner of later, she supposed. "Marra. Marra Flannery." She held out a hand in good manner for the woman to receive in greeting should she choose to. "I'm sorry, I should have given it sooner." She glanced nervously at Calib, wondering what the young man could be thinking. Her mind formed a plan swiftly, should the boy choose to report her. The papers could be destroyed easily enough.
But the plant...what to do with the plant.
Marra let her curiosity overtake her fear for a moment. "Please don't think it ruse of me, but may I ask? Are you both Elementals. You must forgive me, but as a human, I don't quite know how to identify those of you with that particular..."
Particular what? Curse? Gift? Ailment? Choose your words wisely Marra, you've all ready bit off more than you can chew.
"...skill."

Alyssa's smiled faltered briefly, but then it came back on. "No. I'm a fire Elemental, and my brother here is a ... uh... non-Elemental. He does weaponry instead." She then wondered if Marra had something against Elementals in general, but shook the thought away. Calib shrugged, not really caring either way, but Marra seemed... what was it, secretive? about the paper he had accidentally seen. Not that he read any of it, of course, put something about it made him... well, wonder.

When Marra heard the words non-Elemental, her entire frame relaxed. He wouldn't have understood anything he saw then. I'll have to be more careful in the future. Though Alyssa's seeming concern at the question was evident, and she could guess what the woman was thinking "Please Miss Alyssa, don't misunderstand me. I have nothing against the Elementals, but as I am not one of you, " her gaze flickered briefly to Calib, "I don't quite understand your ways." It was true. Marra didn't harbor a dislike of Elementals in any way, but as time passed, and she saw the powers become increasingly more and more unpredictable, she couldn't help but feel a small amount of fear. And being a human in a city where humans were few and far between was difficult enough. It had never really occurred to her how alone she really was.
"Perhaps I can walk you two to your destination?" Marra asked, quickly changing the subject. "One of the Guru's is located just three or four blocks from my greenhouse. I could point you in the correct direction."

Calib let out a sigh of relief. This way, they couldn't possibly get lost, or could they. He hoped not. "Really?" Alyssa asked, almost bouncing. "That would be most appreciated!" She looked around her satchel to make sure she had certain items with her. "Please, lead the way." Alyssa said when she stopped searching. "Just don't get lost, Aka." Calib said, nudging his older twin. "Same to you, Cal." Alyssa replied.

Marra collected herself, quickly gathering anything she had left lying around, including the offending sheaf of paper, and secured it all away before slipping a monetary note under her now empty tea pot,
"Right this way." Marra started her feet toward her greenhouse, noting things of importance idly on the way, and telling the pair where other Fire Elementals of note lived in relation to where they were at the present moment. Her greenhouse wasn't far, and within ten minutes they were standing in front of the gate. Marra was relieved to notice that the lock was still in tact. "Well, this is where I stop. If you go straight down that street for three blocks, and then turn one to the right, you should find a Guru there." She gestured down the street with her free arm. Once she was sure their gaze had followed, she dropped it, reaching into her coat pockets for her keys.
