((HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Today in my Storytelling In Animation class, we were given the assignment to REMAKE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD. I wanted to crack up.
I ended up making mine where Red comes in, and the Wolf's all, "Come here, deary, lean in so I can see you better" and she slaps him and is all, "There's HAM on your breath! You've been with those pigs! And I thought I was the only meal in your life!" And they have a fight, and she storms out, and the Wolf goes, "Gawd, vore fetishists are crazy."
8D I just wanted to tell you guys that. I'll post tomorrow.))

((haha, sorry. Sunday, Wednesday... same difference. Got distracted by my DRIVERS LICENSE AND FIRST CELL PHONE.))
Amleth started as Dash snuck up behind him. "Er--?! Oh, um, you heard the--it's nothing, it was just a dumb, um, a stupid old song that, er... I mean... y-yeah, you can wake him up if you want..."
He started to heap the pancakes high on a plate, and turned away from the skillet to place it on the table. However, he was quite suddenly face-to-face with Lok, causing him to yelp and very nearly spill the flat pastries all over the linoleum. "AUUUUGGghhnnn--Don't do that, will you?!" Amleth took a moment to catch his breath, and shakily put down the stack in the middle of the table, and went back to the eggs.
"That taunting stuff is getting really old," he grumbled under his breath. "Hope you don't mind sunny-side-up," he added, louder. Since they'd all been scattered about when he'd started the meal, he hadn't had the chance to ask for preferences.
The eggs cooked, he slid them onto four separate plates--Neils would still be too unnerved by Lok to sit with them, he guessed--and passed out the plates. He smiled as Sally entered. "G'morning." He then flushed a little at her thanks for breakfast. "It was, uh, it was nothing."
Passing around the jams and syrup, he seated himself. "S-so," he began. "I mean, I don't want to... I dunno, jump the gun or something, or anything like that, but, um..." he sighed. "We're... sort of in a bad spot, y'know? With... bad guys, and stuff, after us and whatever... I mean... it's nice to get some rest and all, but we kind of need to figure out where to go from here." Because I don't know how much longer Niels can put up with our weirdness, he added mentally.
((Wooooo I dunno.))

((OMG DRIVERS LICENSE CONGRATULATIONS *tackle* And phone. Yesssss.
Haha I'm so sorry, I suck. It's been like, a frekaing week. Ahhhh. *rolls around in art stuff*))
"Nah, I used to hear it a lot when I was little," Dash spoke of the song, but a puzzled look crossed his face. He'd never remembered being young. But, that had to have happened, right? He hadn't always just BEEN... Maybe he had.
Dash watched Lok leave then turned to Amleth, but was met with a kiss on the cheek by Red. He gave her a bit of a smile and offered her one of the small chairs at the dining room table. "Hope you like eggs and pancakes!" He seemed in a more cheery mood than the previous night. He did wince though, at Sally's creaking joints. He wasn't sure his had ever creaked. Ever.
After the food was ready, they all sat down, plates cleaned rather fast. Dash had to admit, Amleth was a pretty dang decent cook. Though, thoughts turned to more greivous affairs, and the Prince sat his fork quietly onto his now empty plate. "You're right, and there's not much to be done until we come to it. I suppose we'll prepare as much as possible, but I don't want to intrude on your brother and his home any more than we have to. We should gather our things and leave. From what I understand, we'll go story by story, through all of them we know, until we reach their beginning or end... The happily ever after of sorts. From there, well, we'll have to see."
Percy tugged at his collar for a moment - this was the part he really wasn't looking forward to. "Unfortunately, we're pretty much surrounded by a land called Narnia. I don't know TOO much about it," that's when it clicked. He HAD been around when he was a kid. Walked through a wardrobe and saved a cold, brutal land from the fate of an ice queen. "IT's been a really, REALLY long time since I've been in that story... But, it's a big, dangerous land. We'll have to stay on our toes." He slunk back in his chair, "And we pretty much HAVE to go through it. THere's not much choice. So I suppose we should find something warm - coats made of fur preferably, and set out. We can only hope we don't run into too many unfriendlies there."
That said, he got to his feet and gathered his things. "Unless anyone has any objections, I think we should head out now."

And by the waaay.. Across the Universe is an awesome movie.
The end.))
Lok gave Sally an odd look at her remark about finding her purpose. He wanted to ask her what strange, fluffy animals had to do with knowing her purpose, but then thought better of it. He quirked an eyebrow instead and tilted his head.
"Alright." He said breezily and then wrinkled his nose looking a little abashed. "Prince...?" He looked disgusted. "Couple...?" He withdrew mentally not sure how he felt about that word, but knew he didn't like whatever he was feeling.
He felt like he had swallowed an especially fluffly rabbit that was very warm... and wreaking havoc on his inards. That was odd... most things were pretty dead when he ate them. ((....hahahahahaha, I love him.))
He scowled and grasped at the next subject with an especially grumpy and bitter tone. "And how the HELL can I scare you? I look like a wuss now." He said of himself, tugging on his mousey brown hair.
And he would have went on because he wanted to make it VERY clear just how incredibly harmless and wimpy he looked, but Sally grabbed his hand and he was quickly drug after her.
"Gah!" He shouted as he stumbled after her, but fell raptly silent until back in the house.
When he arrived he was the first to be seated and the first to begin eating. He looked rather dark at Percy pulling out Sally's chair and then took a rather vicious bite out of his breakfast. He ignored them as he ate, thinking somewhere distantly that Amleth could REALLY cook, and somewhere else what would he do now that he was only just human.
Though, as he thought about using toilets and not eating people Amleth brought up a subject he cared about. Percy was quick to jump in and take the lead.
Lok rolled his eyes a little. "You're not the only one who's been to Narnia." He growled under his breath. "I probably know the land better than you... or did your silly blonde head forget Morgrim?" He snorted and pushed his twice emptied plate away. "If it comes we have to go through there, I can take you anywhere you need to go."
He then pushed away from the table and stood. "And I'm ready when you are."

((...haha honestly...I had her go there cause none of them had a part in it. Or I THOUGHT none of them would/did. I guess I didn't think that through enough. I'll find some story where not even the prince is in. Trust me...oh I will. Oh well. Scratch that plan I guess.))
Sally watched the group quietly at Amleth cooked. It didn't take him long to set down steaming plates of good stuff. She breathed it in. Her large brown eyes lit up at the food and her stomach growled loudly. Even a young lady had to eat a decent meal once in a while. "Ahhhh Amleth, my best buddy in the whole wide world, this looks positively DE.LI.CIOUS!" She giggled happily and took a fork. Before anyone else could get into their own food, she had taken her first full bite of scrambled eggs.
A soft, happy sigh escaped her full mouth and she began to shovel in the rest of the soft, fluffy, and sweet food. It took her only a few minutes to clean her plate. With her usually happy-go-lucky smile she brought her plate up and licked the syrup off of it like a dog. Clean plate meant clean plate to this young woman. When she was sure there not even a speck of syrup left she reached for her glass of juice and began to sip daintily, as if she had not just devoured a breakfast big enough for a man twice her size.
It didn't take even a minute for them to start on about more depressing subject matters. With the mention she felt her stomach churn and she groaned loudly at them. "God!" She yelped and flung her arms in the air as they finished talking about what they were to do. She felt frustrated. They only had rested for a few HOURS. She was sick. She was sure the others were hurting or tired too. And they wanted to be thrown back into danger?
"You guys! Oh my god! We just got here! I'm finally starting to feel like I don't want to kill myself and my stomach was JUST starting to settle. Man!" She stood up and grabbed her plates and stalked out of the area to shove her plate into the sink, almost breaking one from making a show of it. "Stupid men." She mumbled and turned on the faucet, scrubbing an already clean plate roughly.
No matter how much she would plead and beg to just stay for a couple days they wouldn't listen and walk on. That's how they were, atleast the two who were competing for leadership over the group. The only one who she knew would actually pay attention to her wanting to just relax would be Amleth. Even so, Lok would NEVER listen to him, more than he would listen to her. Again she wanted to go back home again, it was repetitive, but she knew what was ahead, knew she had a day or so to relax before setting into the woods to get eaten. There had never been the ominous threat of danger and death, and more importantly she didn't feel sick at all when she was there.
Only now did she noticed her hands trembling and she grabbed onto the counter to steady them. What was she? Some weak child? No not anymore. She was a strong woman. She was the brains of this group right? No. She was supposedly the one who made people happy. Well she sucked at that job right now.
Her teeth ground together and she leaned over the counter, dropping her head to the cold surface. She had that feeling that if they left, something bad was going to happen. Something that they wouldn't be able to back out of like yesterday. Finally she stood up, fisting her hands together so they wouldn't tremble infront of her friends and walked to the door way. "Let's go." Her voice was surprisingly heavy as she turned around and went to grab her cloak. "I'm not waiting for anyone." With that said she snatched her cloak, threw it over her shoulders and pulled the hood over her head, shadows instantly hiding her emotions. At least she had that luxury if anything. Pushing the door open she starting walking in a random direction, having a feeling it was the right way...her stomach began to flip more the closer she got.
((Haha women. Jeez.))

((Ha... I haven't read Narnia beyond the first couple books, sooooo...))
Amleth blinked at the mention of this foreign land around them. "Narniwha? I, uh, I don't think I've ever heard of it..." He bit his lip. Really, he'd heard of various lands where magical things happened, but he'd never really known about any of them. Until two days ago, he'd never really been sure that anyplace for sure existed beyond the horizons surrounding his home. As Lok piped in, the pig cringed a little. 'Morgrim' didn't sound like a particularly fun place. ((I totally can't remember if I even read about that place...))
"Unnh. Furs?" Anything involving dead animals tended to make him edgey. Didn't it...? He faltered. His favorite food had been beef stew. Now the thought of eating any sort of flesh made him queasy. He'd never really thought of it--he hadn't even noticed the shift in thinking, but it must have happened since they started the journey. He was thinking more clearly, since then... more in depth. He was supposed to be the brother that didn't think ahead about his actions... He snapped away from his thoughts. That was neither here nor there. "Er. Right. Um. I'll be fine. Got a coat and... y'know... built-in layers."
But then Red put in her own rather frustrated opinion. Amleth yelped at her outburst, and listened in horror as she growled and argued how sick she was of the journey. He tried to figure out what to say as she violently displayed her frustrations on the dishware. He bit his lip. "Sally..."
Before he could finally put his words together, she'd 'resigned' herself, though her 'acceptance' was about anything but convincing. stalking out the door, she left the others at the table. The pig sputtered a moment. She was just--she wasn't even going to let them--
He pushed himself away from the table and scurried out the door after her. "Sally--Sally! Don't--don't do that! You can't--" he caught the edge of her coat. "Sally. You... don't... you know you don't have to do this, right? I mean... If you want to go home--if you're in pain, if you're really that upset--you don't have to come. We're not making you, y'know. This is just... We...I..." He paused. What was he trying to say? "I haven't been hurt. I haven't really gotten in any trouble yet. Dash's hand, Lok's...Lok's everything... and you... I don't even know." He sighed. "I don't know what you're dealing with, Sally. But... I've been through a lot of...of emotional problems, and stuff. I don't know if that puts me in the same place as you--Iknowitprobablydoesn'toranything--but still... I know you're frustrated and, um... you don't... if you're not ready... you don't have to."
He looked up at her, firm. "We're still going. We want to get this taken care of. But you can stay safe if you need to, Sally. I... I don't want you to get hurt any more."

((Haha no worries, I've only seen the two movies... And only REALLY remember the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe... And as J said earlier, I think she was tryin' to find a story that DIDN'T have many of us, so we'll probably go through Narnia quick. biggrin ))
"Morgrim..." Percy said darkly, suppressing a bit of a shiver. Yeah, he'd forgotten about that vicious wolf... The one who was servant to the Ice Queen. He'd forgotten because he simply didn't WANT to remember. That story... He had just been a kid. "Yeah." He picked at a thread on his cape. "I remember him." He supposed then, that he'd let Lok lead the way.
Sally then had a fit and stormed out of the house, making Percy frown. He flexed his injured hand, watching her walk for a moment, before looking at Lok and Amleth. Why was it she was being this way? Amleth ran out after her, and he caught snippets of what the pigman was saying. "He's a determined little thing, isn't he?" He asked the once-wolf, and walked out the door after them. He gave a whistle and Desdamona came trotting over, looking QUITE ready to leave. However, the prince didn't take his place in her saddle and instead took her reigns and tugged her forward, following after the other two.
It wasn't long before the air turned chilly. "Alright... We're just about there." He pulled his cape around his shoulders and gave a thoughtful 'hmm.' "There's a town just ahead, before Narnia. We'll have to pick up coats and things, and head on in." For whatever reason, he really didn't much want to go. Ahhh.

((MY TURN!!!... And yay weekends, okay? FOR SERIOUSLY... And oooh... no worries... I can make it almost like Lok was never in the story *laughs* He en't a wolf no more... so maybe he'll forget a lot of things AND MAKE HIMSELF SUPAH FRUSTRATED.
Oh angst... but yeah... if that works better for you...? That's OKAY by me.))
Lok eyed Amleth at his sputtering remark to Narnia. He frowned figuring of course he wouldn't know because there were no pigs in Narnia, so instead shrugged his shoulders and gave a stern nod.
"Narnia." He affirmed.
Lok then proceeded to look around elsewhere, but was quite startled by Sally's sudden outburst. He sank a little in his chair looking baffled. This was strange... Sally had been upset before, but never like this. For some reason, he felt like it was his fault.
He hated to feel like it was his fault.
When she stormed out of the house he watched after her, eyebrows furrowed. Amleth was after her before Lok even began to get the inkling of an idea to do the same. He kicked himself mentally for not running after her first and saying something nice and comforting like that goddmaned pig did.
Lok growled to himself and glanced once at Percy when he spoke up. He grunted in response and trotted out the door after them wondering why he couldn't be just a little more like Amleth. Maybe Sally wouldn't be so sad anymore.
But what did he care anyway?
On the way to the next village Lok had walked in a tense silence, falling back every now and then, or speeding up suddenly to get ahead. Several times it looked like he was trying to say something to Sally and several times he reached out with a hand only to jerk it back at his side and scowl deeply.
When they arrived at the town he ceased entirely in his ancy manner and took his place beside Percy.
"Well... let's get this over with." He half glanced over his shoulder, but his eyes were fixed straight ahead. "Why doesn't Sally lead the way?" He said quickly and roughly. He still kept his eyes straight ahead.

Sally sighed softly when she heard Amleth clamber over to her, nervous as he always was. She felt him tug her coat like some lost child and she turned around with an unconvincing smile. "Amleth, you really don't have to-" She stopped as he began nervously talking to her about her not leaving them and not being upset and sad. Her eyes softened and she felt uncomfortable. No one ever bothered asking if she was okay, or if her smiles and dandy little perky attitude ever hid something deeper. It felt nice, but at the same time, she realized, she hated talking about herself and her own feelings. She only cared about others, how THEY felt, that THEY were happy, and never herself.
When he paused she looked back to him taking in his face for a while as he began to stammer on some more. As he finished she chuckled gently, that tone of laughter that mother would give her child when they messed up and became frustrated. She nodded slowly and smiled at him, a sad, but still somehow satisfying smile. "Thanks. I know you only want the best for all of us. Even Lok. But you shouldn't worry about me, okay? I just want you to be happy. And anyways, do you really, REALLY believe I'd stay here without you guys?"
She wrapped her arms around him tightly and leaned back a bit to look at him. "I hardly know you but I feel like I've known you forever. You're the only one who understands me for some reason." She gave him a peck on the cheek in a friendly manner and looked up as the others came out, their private conversation coming to a close. "I promise I'll stay with you guys, but only if you, Amleth, stay with us too." Her hand patted his shoulder before waiting for Dash to come with the horse.
As they walked, the uncomfortable feeling still made her fingers dance with each other. Her eyes remained ahead or on her feet. Soon the silence made her so uncomfortable she was forced to hum her own song, quietly, to herself, but it made it feel a bit more warm around them. She stuck near Amleth, unable to look at Lok or Dash without feeling guilty, for what, she wasn't sure.
When they finally were near the town she nodded and looked to Dash for the first time on their walk. "I hate the cold. I hate snow and stuff. I heard it makes your skin purple and your toes fall off. I've never seen it before though." She shrugged and then turned her eyes on Lok when he muttered about her leading them. "What's that supposed to me-" She didn't finished and sighed softly, watching as he starred ahead. She pouted a bit and looked ahead as well.
"I am good with venders though. I got your shirt for nearly nothing. And those pants, almost free." She said gently and moved towards the town, tugging her cloak around her body and clenching her teeth from the cold chill in the air. "Maybe I can work my charms with these people too." She muttered. "Anyways, let's go. I want to get somewhere warm soon."
"I HATE the cold. Hopefully they aren't REAL fur coats. If they are, I won't wear them."
((Haha I dunno...maybe we can do a time sort of skip through the town and get them to Narnia? Makes things go quickly.))

((...I have no idea what to do.))
Amleth relaxed as Sally finally allowed herself a smile. It was painful to see her upset, and the knowledge that he'd managed to help soothed his worries. Though, he was a bit caught off guard by her hug--by the time he realized he should hug back, she had leaned back to look at him. He flushed a little. "I-I...Of course I want the best for you." He smiled. "We're friends, right? We have to... have to make sure each other're happy."
When she pecked his cheek, his face turned bright red. He knew it was just a friendly gesture, but no one had ever done anything like that before. It was exceedingly awkward. In the heat of embarrasment, he rubbed the spot thoroughly, like a child hoping to remove cooties.
"What... stay with you?" he looked back to her, distracted from his awkward moment. "Did you think I was going to give up already?" He managed a weak grin. "O...Of course I'll keep going."
Through the travel, Amleth waddled after the others, not saying much. He didn't like the sound of this Narnia place. Dash claimed to have been there, so perhaps it wasn't too bad... but they all seemed rather nervous about this new land. He hoped that they could get past there quick...
Sally had soon swindled a town out of four warm coats ("Really I'm fine I don't need one I have my old jacket and I'll be warm enough you don't have to spend any on me I'll just oh um okay"), and they set out once more, out of their land of Generic Tales, and into this mysterious named land. The chill in the air grew, until he could have sworn he saw something strange fallign from the sky.
"Uwaah! What-- what're those?" The white fluff drifted from the sky lazily, and formed a thin layer of freezing earth underneath them. Shying away from a flake falling near him, he watched it warily. He'd always lived in eternally warm weather, and had never seen this strange weather.

((...............I suck.))
Now decked out in warm fur (Sally's being a thick down jacket) coats, a supply of food and other possible necessary items, the little troupe of fairy-tale escapees set out towards Narnia, Sally leading the way.
It wasn't long until their steps were left behind them in a soft snow, a snow that quickly deepened as they made their way to the edge of a forest, were a lone light post stood, its gas flame burning brightly, even against the afternoon sun. A sort of nostalgic smile crossed Dash's face. He remembered this place... Though it had been his younger sister in this story that had first found it.
He vaguely wondered if Tumnus ((dunno how to spell that! D: )) was still around. And, honestly, which time in the many Narnia stories they were. He had a feeling it was rather early.
And suddenly his coat felt far too big.
"Holy..." His voice cracked and he looked towards the others, who suddenly seemed quite a bit taller. The prince was hardly a day over 16. "Oh gods," he murmured, looking at his hands (one of which was still quite burned) and was silently thankful at least the clothes he was wearing seemed to have shrunk with him, "Hadn't expected this."
At least there was the hope of finding his sword... "I think we need to find Santa."
((...Hopefully I suck less now. D: ))

((HEHEHE, I POST!))
Lok felt instantly at home in the cold. Somehow he had always felt more at home here than anywhere else. Though, the draft he felt was a little unexpected, being that he was entirely furless now except for scant mop of hair on his head and that hardly compensated for what he once had. He let out a slow breath and watched frost curl from his mouth and hunched his shoulders into his fur lined coat... he was actually rather pleased with the fact he was surrounded by the skins of cute furry animals.
That warmed him up quite a bit more. Lok grinned and forgot the fact that somewhere he knew he felt the Wolf was here.
He glanced at Amleth once at his bafflement at the snow as he made his way towards the gas lamp.
"It's snow, genius, but I guess you wouldn't know... Don't get too cold elsewise we'll end up with frozen pork." He remarked, placing a gloved hand on the lamp post. He felt the cold straight to his fingertips. He withdrew his hand and tossed a look back at Percy as he let out a cry. What he saw then brought forth a great roar of laughter.
"HOLY- PERCY! JUST LOOK AT YOU!" He cried and gripped his sides. "Did... d-did your VOICE just CRACK?" He managed breathlessly.
After a moment he managed to settle himself. "And why the hell would we need to find Santa for?" He growled sullenly. "We should try marching straight on through! I know the way! Remember?"
Lok then looked to Sally with his eyebrows raised. He, for some odd reason, wanted her input.
((Oh, Lok... you silly... NO YOU DON'T biggrin ))
