Kaori nodded and placed herself on the hi,, and kept her ears sharp listening for any sound. she smiled sweetly at Irene,"You okay now?"

"Y-yeah." Irene said weakly. "But that demon, he lied to us. He didn't really see my parents killer. I don't even know how he knew I was looking for my parents killer." Irene sighed sadly. "I'm at a dead end. Though I guess it's for the best. If I can't manage to look at dead bodies I don't know how I could even hold my own let alone take revenge on him."

Aubrey appeared out of the forest, holding about six dead rabbits dangling from his hands and shoulders. He tossed them at the ground, and then looked around. With his hands out stretched, he focused on a tree, and it came out of the ground, and split into a bunch of logs, good for a fire. Birds and tiny animals scattered everywhere as it did.
Aubrey placed the wood in a pile, and then threw a couple small fireballs at it, the wood igniting instantly. Aubrey hadn't said a word yet though, he usually never does after killing something. Especially an entire family.
"Eat..." Aubrey spoke solemnly, setting up a spit big enough to roast two rabbits on at a time. He slowly began to skin the rabbits, one by one. He saved the skin to the side. It could prove usefull when the winter came.
When he was done, he pointed both ends on the spit, and stabbed the rabbits on to it.
As he turned the spit, he sighed and stared off into the forest, wondering what came next...

Irene looked over at Lucian and smiled weakly. "You're not human either, are you? I'm starting to feel like the only one." She watched the rabbits cook. After a moment she had to look away, it reminded her too much of what was done to her parents. Instead she gazed at Lucian. "I don't suppose you've met a man with short black hair and blue eyes."

Lucian sighed and shook his head. His hair and eyes matched that, but he had blue streaks in his hair, so luckily it wasn't him.
"No, sorry. What're you two doing, anyway?"

Irene sighed. The cat was out of the bag anyway. "I'm looking for a killer, and I ran into Kaori. Before I saw her, I didn't even know there was a thing like magic and other creatures other than humans. So I guess, we became friends." Irene remembered the other man, and how he lied to her. she looked at Lucian suspiciously. "And what were you doing here? and don't lie like that other guy did. I'm tired of secrets."

"Ha! I can't lie. It's against our Clan's Code, right Kaori. I can only lie to save someone else. And even if the clan abandoned me, I still keep to the code." Lucian smiled, and put another two rabbits on the spit.
"I don't really have a purpose here. I guess after I saw this," He motioned back toward the village. "I was going to go after that demon. But now that I've met Kaori again, I'll do whatever you wish me to."
Lucian nodded slowly, and smiled at them both.
"I'll follow you into whatever bitter end we face."

Irene smiled. She could only assume that he was a neko like Kaori. She also supposed that with a code like that he had to be tellng the truth. "Well, do you think you could help me then? I'm at a dead end, and all I have is a small discription of him. I also know his last name is the same as mine, but we aren't related."

Lucian put the last two rabbits on the spit, and turned his attention back to Irene.
"So, who did he kill?"

Irene's expression became a bit angry, yet sad as she answered. "My parents, my friends, almost the whole town. and I say almost just because I survived. He spared me, though I don't know why. I think he wanted something."

Lucian noticed the rabbits were done, and tossed one to each of them, and kept on for himself.
"Eat up, we'll need our energy..."

Irene took the rabbit, and bit off a piece. "Wow, this is really good. I've been eating just fish for the past few days, so this is a good change of pace."

"I love to cook, and usually I'd add different herbs to enhance the flavor, but lingering in that particular forest when it's nearing dark is pretty dangerous."
Lucian took a bite out of his rabbit and looked around at the trees. You could tell that a few creatures were watching them... Waiting for them.
