Kelbora looked over at the Elemental and grinned. Bitter cold and icy rage, though it may seem, the hatred she was feeling for the man responsible for the murder of those children was like freezer burn on the skin. Good...she wanted that man dead as much as she did, she just hoped she didn't over do it and blow their cover.

"Fantastic. By the way, have you ever heard of a woman mercenary who goes by the name...Aida?" Kelbora asked the group, her expression composed once more and hidding the meaning behind her inquiry. "I heard she might be joining the party since the price for the security at the party has hit the digits closer to a phone number then a salary. Her reputation if known throughout the underground of this country and Europe...if she shows, that'll be another obstecal to dodge. She's a sharp shot, even gave me a run for my money once...though I'll bet my beloved 9mm that if she knew who I was at the time and the price on my head, I might not have walked away so unscathed."

Rumors were powerful things, and so were reputations. Her research on this ball brought a list of possible body guard contacts from within the files of a murdered Lord Govenor...she recognized her name on the list and felt her heart give a leap. Bounty hunters that obsessed with bringing in the big prizes were meneces to handle...and sadly, her bounty had more then tripled since she last checked. One slip, and she'd be had...or caught in one nasty battle of guns and wills.

Bartz nodded to both ofthem, accepting their words. "Ok, miss... You know, I'm being rude in simply calling you Elemental... I'm afraid I haven't QUITE caught you name, but anyways, yea, i'll have the Base Quarter Master to Supply you all with a full combat harness and weapons. Lady, I thank you for your honesty on the matter. Frankly, we orignally planned to simply bomb the place, in hopes of getting all three of hte brats, but having people on the inside might open up a new path for us to take. Dion, I want you to... lure the three brats away from each other, and prep them, willingly or not, for transportation here. Once you have them, and the Lady has gotten her information out of her target, You'll both meet with the Elemental and high tail it out of there as quietly as possible. If someone or something attempts to blow the plan up, then met with the Elemental and collect your battle gear, and blast your way out. Either way once your a 'safe' distance away, call up Captain Davidson to inform him to commence bombing." Bartz said. He looked at each of them in turn, getting a nod from Dion who accepted his orders. Bartz just hoped nothing went wrong, or he may just be risking the best chance at shifting hte balance of the war being lost.... Forever. Bartz looked at Kelbora and thought for a moment. "Aida, as in the mercenary seeking whatever high-paying job she can find Aida?" Dion asked, hoping he heard and guessed right.

Kelbora grinned, "Good plan, loose, but I prefer it loose for improvsation's sake. And yes...that's the one. She's a Jack of All Trades and one hell of a shot. She's one of the few bounty hunters who knows when to attack and when to back the ******** off...if she's there, she'll most likely identify I'm vampire before any scanner could. She'll be a problem for me, so I'll stay as far away from her as possible...I suggest you do the same."

With that, Kelbora looked over at Dion and then back to Bartz.

"Now, if these pilmanaries are ajurned, you and Faer had best get started on your end while I hone Dion on mine." She said with a smirk, "The sooner I get started, the more convincing he'll be."

Faer looked over at Bartz, "My name is Faer Gul Naneth, but you may call me Faer, as does the Lady Vampire. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to meet with the 'Base Quarter Master' for our supplies. And one more thing," she stated as she peered back into the room from the doorway, "I'll most likely have use of my spirit magic there, so if you see me casting magic, I suggest you stay away or behind me, for it can do damage that even I could die from, with my shields ON. If worse comes to worse, and we're trapped, I will drape shields around your minds and take you through the Void roads. You won't go insane if your with me. But if we do go through the Void you must keep attatched to me in some way, or you could lose yourself and it would take me days to find you. Lady vampire, that flute still works, it always will, and should you find yourself with Dion alone, and no way to find me, and we need to leave, just play." With that, she turned, her skirts flying, to enter the hallway in search of the Qurter Master.

"Hey, did you hear, there is supposed to be some sort of ball not too long from now." A man in the diner said to his buddy. "Supposedly a bunch of them noble vampires are holding one."

The other man let out a grunt of hatred. "Filthy vampire scum. If I had the skills I'd go there and blow the place up. Kill 'em all."

"So would I. But they are going to have topnotch security. Ain't no way you're gonna be able to sneak into there."

The conversation had suddenly sparked Aida's interest. She had heard something about a ball before, and if this was the same one, then she could make some nice cash. Nothing paid better than working for nobles. The only problem was that they were vampiric nobles. She had killed vampires before, and if these nobles knew who she was, getting a job with them might not be so easy. But if they wanted security bad enough, they'd hire her for her skill. Well she had to try. She had no other job at the moment, and if she scored here, she wouldn't need another job. Once she was paid, she could slip out of there. She trusted vampires less than humans for the fact that one may decide she'd be their personal food supply. If worse came to worse, she would just have to hightail it out of there.

She got up and walked over to the table to two men were seated at. "This ball you were speaking of, where is it being held?"

The men stopped talking and looked Aida up and down for a moment. "Now why would you need that information?"

Aida gave them a cold stare. "Just answer the question."

Her glare had frightened the man, but he quickly regained his composure, not wanting to look intimidated by a woman. "Supposed be to in about a week or so. I forget where it's being held. Somewhere 'round here I imagine."

Aida turned around and walked out without another word. The men watched her until she had walked outside the door. They hadn't seemed entirely sure, but if they were right she had enough time to figure out what was going on, and hopefully get a job.

Bartz nodded, and Dion mentally groaned, but didn't show it, and followed Kelbora out to where they would practice. Bartz nodded to Faer, and sat back, thinking about everything going on. If they pulled this off, then frankly, they would stand a good chance of ending the war... However, if they failed, they would stand a good chance of loseing the war. It all hanged on weither they would be able to pull it off.

In the main Armory of the base, teh BQM looked up from his list he was checking over when Faer entered. "Can I help ya?" He asked, with a slightly southern US accent. Around him were crates with weapons, grenades, combat suits, battle harnesses, nearly everything an infantry would need in combat. One of hte boxes was open, reveiling a series of sun shaped grenades inside. The BQM was standing next to it, a pencil in hand over the old fashioned paper-on-clipboard he held in his hand.

(sure kel, we can montage the practicing, and i'll work with Song and Sil to further their little parts of our story)

[[OOC: Bravo! Watch me work! *cracks knuckles*]]

As that day had turned to night, Kelbora had taken a large trainning room for a practice ground. But this kind of trainning that would take place here had nothing to do with weapons, unless you include Dion's two left feet that always seemed to do more damage to the Vampiress or the surrounding area. This...they would have to work on.

The two never left the room once during that week and no one was allowed in minus the civilian servers who brought Dion nourishment and water when he needed it. Kelbora had no need of human food, however she did need Dion well fed and healthy in order to keep him plentiful of the vital blood she required. The second time she had to bite Dion since their pairing occured on the second day of their drill like seclusion from the rest of the base.

Dion had still expressed initial discomfort and pain through sharp intakes of breath or scrounged facial expressions , but he never once voiced a complaint. She had tried to roll his mind a bit with her power to dull the pain, but eventually after the third and then fourth bite Dion told her he bearly felt anything short of slight drainning feeling once she'd taken her fill. She attributed this partly to her stronger connection with him, the ability to enter his mind and numb his senses during the feedings, as well as his growing immunity to the pain caused by the bite. She was satisfied that given another few weeks or so, he might acctually have master a stronger tolerence to all pain all together.

Dion seemed to pick up on intimate slow dancing very well, in fact, by day three of practicing with that dance a few hours a day, he'd mastered it without having to look at his feet to make sure he was doing it right. When it came to the Fox Trot and Quick Step however, he was all left feet, tailess cat, and blundering fish out of water. Unfortunately for them, these two dances were almost assured to be at the party, Vampires tended to like more lively dances. Go figure?

Still working on the faster dances that required constant movement and flow, Kelbora decided to try his hand at the tango. The dance was considered the most erotic, most intimate, and possibly the hardest of routins to learn...but Dion seemed to pick up on that one rather quickly. He'd conquored the toss and reel manuver which made teaching the tango all the easier, and with that and constant staccotto like movement dominating the dance, he'd grown to perform that one the best.

There were mirrors on the walls of the arena to show what others would be seeing when they took to the floor. Contrary to popular belief, only pure blood vampires have no reflections in mirrors or water...since Kelbora was a bitten turn over, she showed right next to him every time they danced.

The days rolled on and inbetween the Cha-Cha, Samba, and retries of the imfamous Fox Trot and Quick Step; Kelbora reviewed the ways of proper high society etiquet. She explained the way to present oneself and their date, how to tell higher ranks from lower nobles, the ways of casual high rolling conversation and small talk (a very large portion of the lessons), and how to react to different situations...such as an emergency arrising and having to excuse oneself without raising suspicion, being asked to dance by a different partner, and what to do if he fund himself without a partner to dance with. Dion picked up on it all very efficiently, and given their time constraints and circumstance...he was quite the student.

Finally the day of the dress rehersal. Two days before show time, a servent had brought in Kelbora refitted emerald dress and a tux for Dion provided by sources outside the base at Bartz's request. The suit for Dion was black with ceromonial coat tail trimmings on a vested dress blazer setting, he also had an old fasion lace tie that spilled over the collar and tucked into the vest with a puffy fluffy. The boots that accompanied the outfit were knee high and vampire made...the high protruding knee guard and silver clasps surround it were high class, and the embrodered black demon wings on the low shin areas were leather cloth that streched over the top of the boot like a sleeve. Very expensive and high class in the world of Vampires, and once Dion had cleaned up, shaved, trimmed his unruly hair, and added a lapel to the breast pocket; he could have fooled the Emporer himself. Kelbora was impressed.

Dancing with casual wear was one thing, but acctually being in costume made the task all the more realistic. Kelbora may have worn nothing but combat boots for the past few millenias, but lacing back on a pair of stiletto like high heels brought back memories of when she was last at a ball. Another assasination mission ages ago in her human years...and it went of flawlessly thanks to her ability to charm and impress the warring kingdoms of Germany into buying her fake royal authenticity. She hoped this go around would be just as successful.

The green dress flared out around her as it floated only centimeter above the floor, it was sequences and sparkling around the bottom of the gown, at the top of the bust, and on the straps that hung around her shoulders. Her shoes also adorn sparkles and shine of a deeper shade of green. The dress hugged her chest and waist before flowing in viberant green waves around her legs. She wore gloves that held losely around her hands while remaining tight around her arms, they also sparkled with sequence that matched the rest of the dress. She even wore a pearl necklace around her neck that held a shimmering emerald pendent at the low "v". Her golden hair had fallen over her shoulders in curtains of silkly soft strands. Because the dress had slits up the sides so she could move around more freely, she worse a green silk garter with emerald shimmer lacing the material. In all, she didn't think she looked half bad...considering she'd only ever seen her self in black leather and armor since she was reanimated as a vampire.

She was standing in front of the mirror, hands on her hips and scrutinizing her appearence when Dion, fully spruced reentered the large mock ballroom. Kelbora turned around to see him, golden hair moving in a golden arch with the movement...and she smiled. She'd added pearl and emerald earrings to her appearence as well as some make up, the latter was grudgingly...she hated make up, but she had to look the part. Dion was lucky...males didn't have to worry about painting their face during formal events. She looked him over up and down before smiling with a nod, he passed, and she held out a downturned hand to him. A proper gesture to ask a male to dance.

"Well now...prepared to impress me with your skills to accompany the look?" She asked, tone velvety and sweet and she reminded him with a look that this was pretending to be the real thing. No matter how good the actors or the costumes were, if the material wasn't practiced to the "t"...they were as good as dead.

And the curtain...must not fall yet.

Faer smiled politely at the man, "Well, your accent is so charming I guess i'll be out with it, Bartz has sent me to be equipped with anything needed for a full infantry into the royal house of the Lord and Lady Vampires, meaning the Emperor and his Lady. I will need guns and grenades, anything that will aid us." Saying this throughout with a smile on her face and her eyes twinkling would scare most, but she guesseed this man would be more hardened until she said her last statement. "And would you happen to have a gutting knife? I'll only be using it once for castration so there's no bother being fancy or anything! Now, let's hop to it!"

Dion took her hand, and went though the motions without seeming to, and took her into dancing, having greatly improved over the last week. He seemed the flow over hte floor with Kelbora, going though each of the dances with an ease he didn't have 5 days before. He jsut hoped it would indeed be good enough to fool most of the vampires and high ranking humans at het ball.

During the day Kel and Dion began their practicing...

The man grinned. "So ya want enough weapons to be able to tear the Emperor's palace down around the Emperor's ears eh? Well, it'd take every single resource in the ENTIRE Wastelander arsonal to do, and then some to pull that little stunt off. Now, to get out of it, that is more doable." He said, walked around, collecting battle harnesses, grenades, rifles, pistols, sub-machine guns, machine guns, clips, ammo boxes, med kits, the whole shebang to arm an entire infantry division, divided equally amongest the sets. "Well here ya go. a whole infantry division kit. Now, I don't think I caught just how many people ya have..." He said, clipboard and pencil at the ready to sign the equipment off.

How many people? Well, this would get his knickers in a twist. "Three." With that, she opened her Void storage, and started piling the object into the Void, where she could easily find them. "Do you have that knife I asked for?" She smiled at him, closing the Void as everything was inside.

Stutturing for a moment, he nodded, and put the hunting blade on teh table, sheathed in black leather. Only three people? That was insanity! Even when he saw her use her Void powers, showing she was an Elemental, he still thought it was insane.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 31, 2007 9:56 pm

Hiking up her dress to reveal a sheath, she inserted the blade, smiling at the man, "You must surely think me insane. But fear not, Bartz has faith, and we shall do it with outstanding success, for that is my prediction!" Trying for pracice as a wench, she gave him a scandalous wink before strutting out with an obscene sway of her hips.

After four days of extreme boredom, and hoodwinking quite a few men into having extremely large crushes on herself, she was just fed up. Then, an idea struck her. Laughing as she jogged back to the 'ballroom' where the Lady Vampire and Dion were, she entered. "Well! I'm all ready, and my, my Dion, aren't you dashing. Would you mind Lady Vampire if I took him for a spin around the dance floor?" She laughed exuberantly.

Sergei stood atop a snow covered hill, staring down at the steady stream of vampire soldiers heading towards Moscow. He growled as his binoculars swept across the supply lines. It was mainly armor plated vehicles and heavily armed soldiers. Not quite what he was used to, but he'd manage.
Dropping down to a prone position, Sergei slithered across th ground, his white suite hiding him from prying eyes. He'd already picked out a slow moving tanker, filled with gasoline or some other fuel. He knew that the steel around it was all but bulletproof, in case of a missfire or sharpshooters. But he knew what he was going to do.
An unwary gaurd turned in time to have his head sliced from his shoulders. Sergei slithered underneath the truck targeting another nearby soldier. The man was roughly pulled under the truck by his ankles, his mouth covered and throat slit before he couls shout a warning. Sergei placed both corpses is a small storage compartment normally used for tools. He liberated each soldier of his grenades, and stripped one of his helmet, coat, and assault rifle. To the casual glance, he was just another vampire soldier.
He quickly took out the tools he'd brought along to destroy the tanker. A pair of scissors, some wire, and a nail gun. He care fully placed seven nails in the front of one of the rear tires. It was moving slow enough to give him time to escape. Next he held down the handle of one of the grenades, tying it like that with wire. Finall, he tied the pin of the grenade to the axel of the rear wheel. The line was tight enough so that when the tire hit the nails and popped, the resulting jerk would unpin the grenade and destroy the tanker from underneath.
He rolled out and scurried up the hillside, stopping and acknowledging vampire officers and fellow soldiers when they noticed him. He reached the top of the hill and waited.
He hoped that his neice and her commander would be able to see the explosion

The moment Faer walked in Dion had just pulled Kelbora back from a push which twirled her away from him only to be twirled back and leaning with her back against his chest. The next movement was to extend her left hand and lead her in a two step back towards the center of the floor before twirling her to an about face and going back to the repeidative three step sequence.

Kelbora stopped in mid step and looked at the Elemental. She was armed, the scent of freshly sharpened steel was faint in her nose as she instinctivly looked in the most prominate of hidding spots for a blade. She then looked back up as Faer and frowned.

"This was a closed rehersal, Elemental." Kelbora said, her once very pleasent and graceful expression she carried during the dance had vanished to one of annoyance and frowning displeasure, "You won't be dancing on a floor at this party, so I don't see why you'd request a round."

But with a sigh of irritation she let go of Dion's hands and took a graceful step from him before briskly walking away towards the side door leading to the abandoned small quarters barraks room Dion and she had seperated and transformed into a twin bedroom.

"Do what you will, I need a break any way." She said and vanished into the room, shutting it behind her.
