Nero grinned, now it was his turn to mess with Inori. "Don't be such a wuss...It's only ramen. Eat it! It's good!" Nero said, lifting the bowl to his face and slurping down the remaining noodles and soup that were left over in the bowl.
He grinned, seeing Inori eat spicy food was funny. He actually laughed a little, watching Inori look almost as if he was in physical pain from eating it. Then the spiciness kicked in for Nero, and he took another sip of the drink in his glass.

"It's only ramen, he says..." Grumbles Inori, as if some invisible gods hung around the stand to hear of his agonies. "It's good, he says..." It was a rather strange method of address, as if he wasn't exactly addressing Nero and yet his words were definitely still directed towards the other. The rant in the budding process probably would've gone on longer had not the shopkeeper looked quite pointedly devastated at such cruelty.
"You mean...it...isn't...?"
At this, a look of shock appeared on Inori's face before quickly shaking his head, he amended his words to Shippo. "No no, ojii-san. You were very kind to treat us." He murmured, this completely accompanied by a respectful lowering of the head.
It was about this time that inner Inori cried. It was true that Shippo was very kind to offer them free food. A sulky look was casted in Nero's direction, at the Fubuki pretending nonchalance while devouring those noodles from hell.

Nero giggled. "He wants to be strong, but can't even handle a battle with some ramen. Ramen:1, Inori: 0." Nero said, as he gladly accepted his third bowl of ramen. He looked at Inori and grinned. He said this with a mouthful of noodles, making it almost inaudible, but Inori knew exactly what he was saying.
"Don't listen to him, the ramen is great. Keep up the good work!" Nero said, devouring his third bowl of Ramen. It was a bit less spicy. It would have been the right thing to do to give Inori the less spicy bowl of ramen, but then he thought about it. I haven't done anything morally correct, or anything that abided by the rules for the entire day...why start now? I never wanted to clean up books.... He thought to himself.
He was satisfied with this decision and continued to eat his ramen. "Best part is, it's all free, and Andou isn't here to bug us anymore. At least be thankful for that." The fubuki said, attempting to cheer up Inori.
He knew Inori would be fine once they got back to the Fubuki compound and Inori had a chance to try out some taijutsu, but until then, he would deal with the noodles, as they fought back with every single bite.
He took another sip of his beverage. It had lost some of it's cold-ness over time, and Nero decided it would be a good way to help him learn control by trying to cool his drink down. He put his hand on the glass and it began to shake slightly, as the liquid on the inside began to swirl around in the glass. When it stopped, the glass was cold to the touch, and Nero drank a big sip, feeling refreshed.

Taka happily walked into the Ramen Shop, his personal favorite one in fact, as he entered the owner personally greeted him. "Taka! It has been awhile I assume the Academy teaching job went well?" The owner said as he firmly shook Taka's hand, and smiled happily, and Taka naturally smiled back. "Well kind of haha..." He stratched the back of his neck while laughing lightly. "I mean I didn't exactly get kicked out of there, but I've been replaced so to speak." The owner shook his head before going behind the counter and began to work on a bowl of spicy ramen for Taka, knowing that's what he would order. As the owner cooked Taka sat next to the two students that where there, currently not paying them any attention, he really wanted to eat that Ramen. With an overly dramatic gesture the owner half slammed the bowl of ramen in front of Taka. Picking up his chopsticks Taka began to quickly eat at it, the Spicyness seemingly having no affect.(Yeah, he doesn't have to roll lol, only a run would make him fail lol)

While it's true this place was blissfully Andou-free, a scowl settled promptly on Inori's lips at those teasing words from Nero. The chopsticks pointed at the Fubuki's direction as such words accentuated the action: "What does spicy food have to do with being strong, anyways!" He stopped long enough to take a deep breath, before with a huff added. "One day, I'll be the greatest swordsman in all of Kiri. Just you watch." With that said, Inori held up his bowl, and aristocratic grace all but forgotten, began gulping it down.
The logical part of him told him this was a very bad idea. Sure enough, as soon as the bowl was pulled away from his face, Inori pounced on the tissue box, and in his haste to remove a chunkful of tissues, even tore the metal cover off. He was a complete mess: with tears streaming down his face, and a runny nose. There was quite a long moment of Inori blowing his nose, as obviously the nose came before the tears that's staining his cheeks.
"I really, really dislike spicy..." Grumbled Inori. That was when he noticed the other customer whom just came in. Inori eyed the soup that one ordered - the one he originally asked the ojii-chan for - and with lantern-sized eyes watched with silent astonishment at the other cheerfully ate the noodles as if they were the plainest thing in the world. Cranking his head back to his own half-finished bowl, Inori grumbled under his breath.
"They probably aren't that spicy..."
Unfortunately, Shippo had claimed quite the opposite that these ramen were best for "beginners". Inner Inori shoved aside that fact from the attention of his consciousness. For now.
For now...

Nero grinned, he liked Inori's determination. Unfortunately, determination helped only a tiny bit when faced down an enormous bowl of seethingly spicy ramen. "When that happens..." Nero began, interrupting himself by taking an enormous gulp of ramen, taking out about half of what was in the bowl.
It filled his throat, his mouth, and there was a noodle hanging out. The soup from the ramen was practically filling his sinuses until he swallowed it down, slurping up the last hanging noodle. "I'll be there, as the best Ninjutsu user Kirigakure has ever seen. I'm young....but I don't want to wait. I'm gonna do it." Nero said confidently. He was never really confident, but at that moment, he had never really been more confident about much before.

Taka simply continued to happily eat at his spicy ramen, which he truely enjoyed though he wished for more of a challenge. Everytime he brough it up however, the owner would get mildly annoyed and state that he didn't have time. Hmmm well Taka didn't have any current assignments, and taking a look around he found two kids whom should be in the academy. Taking a couple more bites he leaned on the tble and turned to look at them. "Hey you two, aren't you supposed to be in the Academy?" That should scare them, Taka thought before going on. "I'll tell you what, if you help me out on a simple training mission, I won't report you to Mojukin." Taka backed that up with an almost sincere smile, if anything he would get to lay around and be lazy while they worked.

Nero raised an eyebrow, wiping his face. "Hey....no fair!" Nero said, slightly unhappy. However, he grinned and turned to face Inori, who was struggling to even be partially done with his first bowl.
"Well....If I want to become a special jounin, and you want to become a swordsman, we will need more field experience....a lot more. And by more, I mean....at least some, because I've barely had any so far." Nero said, shrugging his shoulders. They needed to practice....everything.
The shopkeeper put Nero's fourth bowl in front of him, and refilled his drink, as well as giving him a second one, so Nero was scared of the ramen.
"I think it would be good for us, what do you say? You could work off that spicy ramen too." He said, with a slight laugh.
"This is for making me clean up books, Inori. I hope you like your ramen." Nero said, as he began to dig into his fourth bowl and final bowl.

A disdainful sniff was the only answer to the other boy as Inori daintily dabbed at his nose. He glared then almost spitefully at his own bowl, which not to mention he was still on the first while Nero was on his... Second? Third? He didn't even pay enough attention to notice. It was just impossible to imagine, even the miso which were supposed to be vegetables thank you very much were spicy. Why can't this place make more, well, normal food? But when he saw the happy expression of Shippo attending to the new customer, Inori deflated. He couldn't open his mouth of destruction - no, not right now of all times. If there was one thing he was weak for, then it was probably small measures of kindness.
He'sfeedingushe'sfeedingus. He chanted like a mantra in his mind. Somehow, somewhere along the line, his mouth instead quickly muttered: "Bear it bear it bear it bear it." When the new customer however turned along the bench to address them, Inori's crimson tearfully unhappy gaze bore on the shinobi.
"It's evening. Andou says we don't have to go." That the day was over already, a pointless matter to pursue - gross, he can almost hear the principal's sarcastic tone. Inori then looked at the stranger suspiciously, before crossing his arms, having no idea of course this was the prime candidate for the position of Mizukage in this village. Then again, when it comes to the latest shinobi news, he was pretty much living under a rock.
"How'd you know we didn't go anyways?" Said Inori tonelessly.

A bitter laugh answered Nero, as Inori gulped down more of his ramen. It was a wonder if he was even tasting the dish anymore. They did say when one reached a certain level of pain, one wouldn't feel pain anymore. And perhaps indeed, Inori would describe this... Dinner as so. Fairly much, it was simply now only numbed out pain. He was sure that after this ordeal his tongue would swell up, he'll be lucky if his beautiful complexion is not ruined by a outbreak of acne. That'll be horrible, absolutely horrible. Not to mention, it would also make the ramen not free because he would be paying for it for a week long's curse on his complexion.
He should've accepted. Yet, ironically, Nero's words stoke more competitive spirits. "You think..." He began. "I can't take a little spicy?" That's it, Inori's composure was certainly cracking. A pity it was only so early. With free-flowing tears, and rubbing as his nose every now and then, Inori lifted up the bowl again and attempted once more to drown down the next assault of spicy soup and miso.

"That's precisely what I think." He said, grinning.
He took a huge slurp of his bowl of ramen, taking down miso and soup and swallowing it all down. The shopkeeper was right, this was definitely the spiciest bowl of ramen he had ever had. It was good though,m so Nero kept on eating it.
"Hey, Inori, wanna try a bite of this ramen, mr. tough guy?" Nero said, challengingly. He almost hoped he did, just so he could see the look on his face when he tasted the spiciness.
He took another sip of his beverage, than continued to eat, the spiciness starting to get to him.

Taka grinned and took another bite of his Ramen before turning back to Inori and Nero. "Hmmm, well let's call it an educated guess." He said to them with a smile as he took the last couple bites of his ramen bowl, and thanked Shippo, leaving enough ryo to pay for his bowla nd a small tip. "Regardless you've been wrongly informed, as tonight there was actually a pre-scheduled night exercise, which you've noe missed..." Taka looked serious for just a moment before smiling again. "I should report you to the Academy... or I suppose I could let you off with just a warning, if you're willing to help me out a little." Taka gave a mischievous grin, he would get his extra spicy, salty ramen, and not have to do any work. Of course it depended on these two.[/sze]

"H-ha...w...water." Rasped Inori. The hand that wasn't holding on to the ramen bowl rapidly pounded a few times on the wooden table. "Ah can't feel m'throat..." No, it wasn't just his throat. His whole voicebox was beginning to feel rather scratchy. He was pretty sure after this ordeal he would be left voiceless for at least a few good days. Goodness, was he perhaps allergic to spicy food? That could be the case! It could be a devastating mistake to get fired up by competing with Nero. What if he gets hospitalized from this whole business?
Through the haze of tears, he thought he could see Shippo's happy, beaming face... That his little customers were finally so fired up to try the recipe, probably. In irritation, the logical part of Inori yelled at himself to stop, that Nero was probably rigging this somehow to all but literally drain down so many bowls of deadly ramen. He bristled at Nero's challenge, and grabbing the other's bowl, declared: "Yeah? So be it!"
And began gulping the other's bowl down.
His stomach protested at the abuse - loudly. Inori only tore Nero's bowl away from his face long enough to glare at Taka through the stream of tears.
"Blackmail don't work! The principal knows we ditched today anyways." He said, proudly. He seemed to think of a long moment, before adding.
"Ahiru-ramu-san."

Nero could feel it starting to burn, but it was a good burn, and the ramen was quite good. He continued to eat it, drinking after every few seconds of eating. The way Nero was eating though, he was practically inhaling the ramen.
He grinned as he continued to eat it. It was becoming overwhelmingly spicy. He felt like Inori. He couldn't wuss out now, not after all the trash he was talking just seconds earlier.
He took a sip of his drink, finishing it, and put it down on the table, where the shopkeeper refilled it.
"It's really spicy...but it's so good. I can't stop eating it!" He said, grinning.
"Taka....how are you able to eat such spicy ramen, and not even be affected at all by it?" He asked, intrigued by the mans ability to eat the spicy ramen and not be affected.
He looked down to take another bite, but realized his bowl was gone. He glared at Inori and pouted slightly. Then he grinned, it would be fun to watch. There's no way he'll finish that. That's the spiciest bowl of ramen I've ever had, and I actually like spicy ramen....

He... He thinks he could feel the tissue in his stomach disintegrating, the delicate folds of the muscle and all. And no, he was not being a pain worrying too much. Inori was beginning to wonder if such a "dinner" even would be filling... Or perhaps the digestive system of the body might be a bit too traumatized to even realize the deadly substance had been food? Either way, he felt no good mood to humor this person's request, no, blackmail. Besides, it can't get any better than the principal of the Academy already knowing, right? He paid little attention as Nero began engaging in conversation with Mr. Duck Rump. Thanks to taking up the bait of the other's teasing, he would have to finish two half-bowls of ramen now, which is pretty much equivalent to having one bowl and a half of the dastardly substance.
It wasn't that he had become illogical, but then again this whole situation had been pretty ridiculous. Note to self... Grumbled Inori inwardly. Next time before eating out, do some frigging research on the place. Then this was at least a lesson well-learned? He supposed. But he wasn't about to admit aloud to Nero, or to anyone for the matter, at least not anytime soon. Though just because he won't admit that didn't mean he wasn't going to keep the mental note in mind for future reference. The old shopkeeper kindly brought him a glass of cold water, and Inori drained the first cup with a single long gulp, before the humble request for more was tacitly spoken with a tiredly lifted cup.
