Aphrodite ignored the fact that Fiorenza forgot what had happen during her episode but tucked it away in her mind. "I'm fine Fiorenza. It's only a shallow wound." She said, "Are feeling better?" Her ears flicked when Vipin entered walking up to her. She took the gauze and tape and bandaged her arm the best she could. "See. All better."
Vipin walked up to Ahprodite with the bandages. He flinched when he saw the bite marks that Fiorenza had caused. "Here." He said sitting down, "Grandma.... How are you feeling?" He wondered if Kuoni would be allowed back in."
Fiorenza sighed in relief when Aphrodite's wound was bandaged. She laughed nervously at the questions of how she is. "I'm fine you two.... Why wouldn't I be?" She said smiling lightly, "Now what brings you back Aphrodite? I thought you had left to find that friend of yours..... What was her name? ...... Kuoni? Yes I think that's right." She paused for a moment and frowned. "Your friend has the same name as someone I know...." She began to think deeply about that but shook her head after a moment, "I don't know who but I do know that they're very close to my heart."
Aphrodite nodded slowly. Fiorenza forgot all about her kids! It must be how her mind is protecting itself. "Well you see... I found my friend Kuoni." She said slowly, "Perhaps you would like to meet her?" Fiorenza nodded with a big smile. "Alright I'll go get her. Wait here." She got up and walked out of the room. She looked around even though she couldn't see. "Kuoni? I need to talk to you before you go in." She said.

Kuoni heard Aphrodite come out and speak. She only grunted a whine in reply. She was still trying to leave, and her legs still wouldn't cooperate. She couldn't figure out what she hated more. While Fiorenza was in a fit, she didn't believe she was her daughter and got angry, and while she's sane/calm she doesn't remember Kuoni at all. Kuoni wondered if she forgot about Mikey and their sister too.
But more so, why wasn't daddy here? Where was he? She curled her tail close. Why had he left?

Aphrodite stood next to Kuoni and patted her head. "I figured you heard but it seems when your mom is calm like this she doesn't even remember her own kids. She does remember her adopted ones but you and Mikey and your sister.... she doesn't remember." She said, "I want you to come back into the room and see if she'll remember you. I'm hoping that if you visit with her, her memory will come back without one of her episodes."

Kuoni sighed heavily and rolled her eyes in irritation as her legs finally started working. Figures they'd work for this. She got up slowly, wiping at her eyes with a paw. "Allright." She whispered. She took a deep breath and headed back into the room. She didn't have the strength to hold her head up though, and went in looking at the floor. She peeked up at Fiorenza, who looked rather happy now. "Hi." She said quietly, unable to even fake a smile.

Fiorenza looked at Kuoni and felt her heart fill with happiness. "Is this your friend? She's gorgeous! I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful wolf in my life." She said as a few tears fell down her face, "Oh look at me. Crying for no reason. I'm really sorry about that dear... You know, you remind me of someone." She looked at Kuoni for a moment longer before shaking her head. "I don't know who yet but that's probably due to my memory going." She shook her head. "I guess that's what happens when you get old."
Aphrodite mentally sighed when Fiorenza didn't freak. "Yeah that's my friend. You really think she's that pretty?" She said and received a nod, "I'm sure you'll remember soon."
Vipin sat off to the side and watched.

Kuoni felt a few tears in her own eyes. "Thank you. My flowers used to be different though. They changed when I became an adult." She said, looking down at herself. "They used to be hibiscus, like you have."
She looked over at Aphrodite for support. Seeing the anthro calm helped her own nerves. She turned back to her mother. "My name is Kuoni. It's really- nice to- see- you." She fought back more tears, her voice catching repeatedly in her last sentence.

Fiorenza tilted her head at Kuoni. "Really? I wonder why they changed.... You know you remind me of..... my...." She stopped talking and practically froze. She then shook her head and smiled. "Well anyways... It's nice to meet you Kuoni and Oh! Don't cry! It'll be alright! I'm sure I'll remember soon enough." Her mother instincts kicked in and she rushed over to Kuoni to comfort her. She didn't even realized what she had said last. "Shh... It's alright baby. Mommy loves you." She said remembering her own daughter...
Aphrodite looked at Fiorenza picking up what she said. So some part of her mind did remember Kuoni. She smiled and felt hope about all of this.

Kuoni melted when Fiorenza rushed over to comfort her. She leaned and snuggled into Fiorenza as much as she could.
"I'm sorry." She whimpered, speaking to both the part of Fiorenza that did remember her daughter (for running away) and the part that didn't remember (for crying on her), since she wasn't sure which part of her was there.

"It's alright." Fiorenza said soothingly, "Everyone is allowed to cry." She pulled away after a minute and studied Kuoni. "I know who you remind me of. My daughter.... She ran away... because of me." She said hanging her head, "If I had been a better mother..... She would still be here and so would...... my mate and my......" She shook her head unable to say her son's name.

Kuoni looked up when Fiorenza moved away. She started to shake her head, but stopped herself. She didn't want to push anything again. Even though Fiorenza still didn't remember her quite yet, it was still painful.
She went in a different, but slightly risky direction. She needed to know. "Where did he go? Your mate." She asked softly.

Fiorenza shook her head. "I don't know. The last time I saw him was the first night we searched for our missing daughter. He sent me home to sleep and I haven't seen him since." She said sadly. She looked up at Kuoni and narrowed her eyes. "Why do you look like my daughter?" She accused raising her hackles.

Kuoni sighed. "He must still be looking for me." She whispered to herself.
Her head snapped up with wide eyes at Fiorenza's tone, then she relaxed her face. "I think you know." She said gently, and a bit hopefully.

"I'm sorry. I have no clue what you're talking about." Fiorenza said getting up, "My daughter doesn't have flowers like you.... You.... You must have done something to her!" She stood up and crouched down growling.
Vipin barked when Fiorenza began to show that she may get violent. "Grandma! That is Aunt Kuoni! Your daughter. That's her." He said standing up. He hated seeing his grandma like this and wanted to do something to help.
Aphrodite sighed. So everything wasn't going how she'd like it to. "Fiorenza you need to stay calm." She said, "My friend Kuoni is actually your daughter Kuoni. She's one in the same."

She was suprised hearing Vipin jump to her defense. Had he really changed? She asked herself again. Kuoni whined. "Remember I told my flowers changed when I grew into an adult? That I used to have flowers like yours? That's because I got them from you." She said, trying to keep her voice even and calm, though it was still strained. "They changed while I was in the woods." She sat still. Was Fiorenza really going to attack her? Help her see!
