Ezriel felt a small sense of joy from finding the keys. He took the gun and keys, and stood up to move towards the gate...
*shlooop-smack-thud*...
As Ez walked forward, the head that had clung to the cieling so grotesquely...lost it's slimy grip. It fell directly on top of Ezriel, and knocked him to the floor. Either going down due to the force of the head hitting him, or fainting due to the sheer horrendous-ness of the fact, Ez lay passed out on the floor...his mind in every direction...

Knowing that you and the guard might share similar fates if you didn't think of something, you focused and let your better half take control...

(I have a bad habit of screwing myself over...)
Ezriel scampered softly, trying to avoid any sort of alarm or trap. First looking for clues as to where Night went off to, then for any opening anywhere.
(had to keep the tradition of me passing out alive man...)

Well, as the old saying went, "Money does no good unspent." Plus, he'd heard it was the root of all evil. And time = money, as everyone knew. So therefore, he'd be experiencing some evil time until he spent it. IT MADE PERFECT SENSE!
Spaz looked around for a soda machine or something of that sort. Nope, nada. Just Mt. Corpsemore and lots and lots of blood everywhere. Just as well, he didn't know what he'd do with sixty bottles of soda. Besides, he REALLY needed something to eat. He'd already upchucked his last meal after his boot-powered trip through time, so he was virtually running on empty.
Maybe on another floor?
Walking over to the elevator, Spaz pressed the "Up" button repeatedly. Growing impatient when nothing happened, he wedged his fingers into the gap between the doors, braced his feet on the sides of the elevator, and yanked it open.

Woaahhhhhh....
Looking up, you see an endless black chamber, filled with wires, cables, and...well, wires and cables. The elevator shaft goes on a looooooong way. As for down, the cement is a clear indicator that you're starting at square 1 here.
