Chloe watched the grunts flee with more than a little bit of satisfaction, leaning on Brayden slightly with a smile, "Another group bites the dust," she announced with a grin, before turning her attention to Julian.
"Anything we could do to help?" she asked, still a bit worried about her friend's health. She wasn't really sure what she could do, however. She knew a little basic first aid from her brother, but really, she didn't think it would help in this situation. Can't wrap a bandage around internal bleeding, she mused with a grimace.

Julian sent out all of his pokemon and began healing them after the grunts had run away. "Thank you guys for working so hard." He told them quietly as he used the potions, dropping one occasionally because his hands were shaking from exhaustion. Once all of his pokemon were healed he turned to Brayden and Chloe.
"Thank you guys for your concern, but it really isn't necessary, I'll be fine." As he said that though a red stain began to spread from the front of Julian's shirt. He winced at the pain and realized that one of his old wounds from his gym battlehad opened from the exertion of the battle. "Crap.." He managed to whisper before calling Rose over to him.
Rose walked over to Julian, a worried look on her face and sat patiently and Julian reached his hand into the flower on he back and took a small amount of spores and spread it on the cut after taking off his shirt.
AFter a few moments Julian was able to stand again and tok up his pole and sat on Itachi. "We still have a dratini to catch, so let's not worry about me now okay?" He told them all with a smile before Itachi went a little ways off shore for Julian to fish.

"If you say so," Brayden nodded, not entirely sounding convinced. Cye also watched, he noticed, however, Caliga had returned to her stalk around the lake. Every once in a while she would renew the stones that she had lit as they lost energy, helping to keep the area in a pale blue light so that the group were able to see in the caves. Brayden really didn't know what she was up to besides that, however, he knew that she would return if he needed her.
However, Brayden returned to the water a little after Julian, as Cye retrieved his forgotten fishing pole. Brayden could feel the starting pangs of a headache, but ignored it. There were other things to worry about beside that.
He kept an eye on Julian, in case the other boy needed his help at all.
"I'm still a little amused by the fact that none of us can fish up a Dratini," Brayden allowed a flitting smile to pass across his lips for a moment as Cye traveled a little bit further out into the deeper waters.
"Hope also that Kaya can join us soon so we can move on to Snowpoint," he admitted after a bit. He had cast his line back out into the water and was watching it. He had never been to the snowy city before. Hopefully he could snag a coat while he was there, he realized. His current attire wasn't too satisfactory for waltzing through the eternal snowfall that draped over the city.

It didn't take long for Brayden to spot a shadowy figure darting beneath the water towards his line. Hoping the Pokemon would be inclined to take a nibble at his bait, Brayden watched it silently. The Pokemon followed his mental encouragements, finally clamping down on the line. Brayden yanked, watching the shadow struggle underwater for a few moments, before it leaped from the water in an attempt to shake the line.
Brayden sighed, "Another Wishcash," he shook his head, "Ah well, I guess we can get a little more training in, huh?" he asked no one in particular.
He let Gin'iro from his Pokeball, the silver Ninetails landing on the shore, blasting out a blossom of fire at the mudfish to get its attention. The Wishcash followed suit, making its way to the shore, prepared to attack.
"Alright, Gin, take it out with an Energy Ball," Brayden called to his partner. The vulpine offered a foxy grin in return, bowing his head momentarily, concentrating as an orb of energy formed in front of Gin'iro. The orb flashed green, drawing energy from a few patches of lichen that grew in the darkness of the caves, before firing at the Wishcash as Gin let fly a pleased cry of, "Nine!" to follow the attack.
The Wishcash fell back into the water, completely defeated, as Gin'iro smirked.
Child's play.

Brayden let Gin savor his victory for a few moments, before thanking his Ninetails friend, returning him to his Pokeball for the time being.
"Well, not a Dratini," he commented obviously.
"Geez, pretty soon we'll have fished up every other living thing in this lake," he joked, although he really was starting to hope that wouldn't be the case. The three certainly didn't seem to have any luck when it came to fishing up dragons.

Julian laughed at Brayden's joke as he fished up a Lumineon. "You may be right there. I mean, I know Dratini's are supposed to be rare but this is getting a bit ridiculous." He admitted to the other male as he threw his fish back, because he wasn't really feeling up to a battle at the moment.
He looked over at Chloe and smiled. "hey, why don't you come over here with us Chloe?" He asked with a smile, really trying to hide the fact that his entire body ached.

Chloe nodded, "Sure, I'll join ya," she smiled faintly, hopping back onto the waiting Kingdra's back, as Daimon carried her back out to the others. She added her line once more to the armada, hoping that at least one of them could hook a Dratini. It seemed like they had been here forever trying to get one.
"Oh, um, Julian, just so you know. Be careful when we get to Snowpoint and to Harmony Islands," Chloe noted, "I mean, there are certain to be some tough battles ahead. I don't want to see you get hurt," she reasoned with a frown.
"Also, mmm, Bray's seems to be having an old issue flare back up again," Chloe murmured, casting a glance to Brayden. She reasoned that he wouldn't mind her telling Julian.
"He might not... be himself at times," she ventured, looking to Brayden to see if he wanted to elaborate on the issue.

((Haha, I wouldn't mind you doing that at all. You can do a little mod power every now and then. xD We've been uber unlucky with this fishing thing. I was beginning to think traveling to Johto and going to the Dragon's Den would be quicker than all this.))
Brayden nodded to Chloe, taking up the rest of the story, "Basically in Stark Mountain, back when Lance reformed the blade, Israfel did a number on me," Brayden explained, "All I really remember was a lab tech and a needle, but soon after that I was attacking Kaya at Notaro's orders. I really don't remember much from that bout. Back then, I had been affected by Vulpix DNA thanks to Kaya's brother. Due to that, I about scorched Kaya, and very well might have killed him. My mind was completely blank. I couldn't move a muscle to avoid throwing a wall of fire at them, and pretty much just shy of leaping on him to beat him," Brayden shivered at the memory. It wasn't really a pleasant thing to recall, having mindlessly attacked his close friend and current partner.
"After that," Brayden explained, "Once I came to my senses, I really haven't felt anything out of the ordinary, so I assumed that whatever it was that they did to me was over and done with."
"It wasn't until recently that I started hearing voices," Brayden smiled, shaking his head, "And I'm not sure its not the 'oh great, I'm going crazy' voices. But they seem to be no more than whispers. Its been reported that Notaro can be found on Harmony Island, and it seems that the closer I get to there, the stronger the voices are. I heard a laugh a while ago to a comment I made."
"I'm not really sure what's going on, but Ari said she'd keep track of it, so I don't think you're in danger or anything. I'll tell you if things start to get bad. Hopefully its just my paranoia acting up," Brayden laughed.

Chloe nodded as she listened to Brayden. She hadn't liked the sight of the boy when the group was in Stark Mountain. His eyes... she shivered. They had looked so dead, lifeless.
She hadn't know that Brayden was starting to hear things. That would explain a few things, she noted. There had been times in the past few weeks before they had gone to Iron Mountain where she had noticed him starting, like he had heard something. But every time she hadn't heard anything herself. She had forgotten about that when the group had fought Israfel, and after that they had split up for a long while.
Chloe pointedly avoided thinking about Israfel any more than a fleeting thought. The last thing she needed right now was to start worrying about the thief.
"Just, both of you, be careful, kay?" she asked Bray and Julian, leaning over Daimon to look at the water a moment. She had cast her line back into the water, but hadn't spotted anything yet.

Julian was listening to what Brayden and Chloe were telling him andnodded once they were finished. "That kind of makes some sense. For whatever reason Notaro seems to have some interest in you, I had thought 'd heard Israfel say something along those lines at Iron mountain though"
Julian shrugged and looked over at Brayden. "Well, whatever happens on Harmony Island I'll be there to help you out as much as i possibly can." He told the boy with a small smile before falling off of Itachi when a wild Dratini appeared.
"Finally!" He yelled before commanding the weasel pokemon to attack the Dratini with a swift attack. He then threw a pokeball at it in an attempt to capture the small dragon. The pokeball flew at the pokemon and sucked it inside. It moved a few times before finally clicking shut and was about to disappear before Julian grabbed it and returned Itachi instead. He then watched as Itachi's ball disappeared.

Brayden smiled sincerely, "Thanks," he offered to Julian with a nod, "And congrats on your newest addition. I'd say it took long enough for you to catch a Dratini," he laughed, shifting his seat atop of Cye to get a bit more comfortable.
"Well, that's one goal down," he nodded, "I guess now we just have to wait for Kaya, and we're all set to move on to Snowpoint and his homeland. Unless there's something you guys still want to do while we wait for Kaya?" Brayden inquired, looking to the other two.
"As for me, I'm good. I've just been hanging out here until the crew got assembled again," he explained, "So if you guys want to head somewhere, I'm all up for it."

Chloe shook her head, "Nope, I'm good. I really wasn't aiming to do anything other than make it to the Harmonian Islands," she explained, "So unless Julian wants to do anything else, I'm ready to move out when you guys are. I'm ready for some open spaces after all these caves," she laughed.
She paused for a moment, spotting something odd floating on the surface of the lake.
She wasn't really sure what it was. In all reality it just looked like a piece of trash. She fished it out with the toe of her boot, depositing it into her bag to throw away later on.

Brayden nodded, "Same here, there wasn't really anything else that I needed to do here. I was just hanging out mostly to wait for Kaya, although I hoped to catch a Feebas while here. That accomplished, the only real benefit of sticking around here is to train, however, I can do that anywhere," he reasoned with a faint smile.
"Then I guess we're just waiting on Kaya, unless you have something else you wish to do while we wait, Julian?" Brayden asked, turning to the other boy. "Would you rather take it easy for a bit? That last battle seemed to take quite a toll on you," he worried, frowning slightly.
"We could just rest up a bit and train in here until we move on with Kaya?"
