Yeah, most people do. I hated it at first too (In my first playtrough I lost ALL my money and had to sell my s**t to proceed stressed Needless to say I got my stressed ss handed to me in the haunted castle), but got hooked on it when I got the guy with the eyepatch to come to my castle. Anytime I didn't have enough $$$ for armor or sharpening, I'd save at Maria's and proceed to gamble till I made at least triple my original moneys (then save and repeat). 3nodding
Plus I love the music in the first game during the gambling.

When I played Suikoden 1 through for the third time or so I actually tried to travel north to find Teo. It would be cool if you could and unlock a totally different play through. And thank god Suikoden 1 has such a good balance of experience and random battles. If there was as many battles as 3+ I would never have tried.

Chinchirorin is an awesome game...I try playing it in real life...its pretty funny...
I tried that! Going North to search for Teo...I even thought of trying to go after Viktor when he leaves Neclords castle to go to Jowston...but then again...I wouldn't have known how to get there...
Seriously, how awesome would it be to travel the entire suikoden world in one game? Kind of like how you get to return to Gregminster in II,but instead of just one place,everywhere....am I making sense?

I would love that... Having one big a** world map... A ship for sea traveling... and then Viki... That would be so awesome.

I'd get lost really quickly, but it'd be cool anyway! xd A map so large it rivals and surpasses the one in Oblivion. Maybe they let you ride those weird things that Teo's cavalry had? 3nodding (Those 'the empire strikes back' looking things)

I wish we could have ridden on those, it would have been cool.
Having a huge map would be awesome. It would have been great if the game had allowed you to go searching for Teo up north- imagine the scenes!

I mean, it was 150 years later, so they could've changed a bit, but still...

Even if it's the wrong name at least it's something to call them by 3nodding I'll start calling them that if I can remember it sweatdrop

Well, I'm actually pretty sure that's what they are. If you think about, the Scarlet Moon empire, in both games, had them. No one else did. It's the most logical guess at least. They never tell you in Suikoden, so Konami might've said one day: "Remember those creatures that were in the first Suikoden? Let's put them back in and give them a name."

I believe that kid in Kooluk had one, but he was hanging around in Merseto, and that is a big trading town.

Well they probably are most likely of the same species considering Scarlet Moon is right beyond the border of Kooluk. I wouldn't be surprised.
