"Well, Naruto is being real...well, just like himself and Neji-san is starting to be nice to me. He also says if it's for the clan he will do it. 'I have to' is what he said. Tenten-san is upset that because of my father she won't get a chance with Neji...I don't see why she likes him. Lee-san is much nicer." She quickly went through everyone else the boy knew and nodded at the end. "We've all been good, I guess." She closed her eyes and smiled lightly as she moved her fingers so they twined with Kiba's.

"That's good to hear." he said then pretended to look hurt. "And here I thought the world would stop turning when I disappeared. I think I'm going to cry!" Kiba fought off the smile as he started wiping his eyes with his other hand.

Hinata looked up at Kiba. "Aww! Poor, Kiba-kun." She hugged him. "I was upset. And it took me a while to get over it. Just a little. I still missed you the whole time though."

Kiba stopped his fake pouting and smiled. "That makes me feel better. Have you been taking care of Akamaru for me? I hope that he hasn't been too much trouble or anything. I know how he can get sometimes, wouldn't even listen to me all the time." Kiba had hugged her back and kept his arms around her. She really does smell good... He thought as he took a deep breath, memorizing her scent.

Hinata nodded. "He's been fine. He misses you too. He stays at my house now so I think we're both really happy cause of it. Akamaru since I was your friend and me cause how close you and Akamaru were. He's a part of you. He's gotten really big. He's going to be a big dog when he stops growing."

"When you get back home, he's going to smell me on you no matter how many times you shower or change clothes. Whatever you do, do not let him come in here after me. He'd probably be killed before he found me." Kiba sighed a bit, a little pinch in his heart as he thought about home and his dog. His head dropped a bit so his forehead was resting on her shoulder. "I didn't realize how much I missed you until I saw you. Even if you won't be here with me forever, I'm glad you're here now."

"K-kiba-kun? Do you want me to stay? Do you want me to stay with you? If you want I can go home and get Akamaru and then we can come back in and stay with you. That way you won't have to miss us."

Kiba was once again staring at her. "Do you realize what you're saying? You're willing to leave everything behind, your family and friends, just for me?" He shook his head. "I won't let you do that, even if I miss you and never end up seeing you again. I don't think you'd last long in this place." Not to mention if she stayed human I'd have to watch her grow old and die. That's something I don't want to go through.

"Well, if he has the human he should be satisfied enough. Then again it's Zabuza we're talking about. He may just hunt you down and tear you apart for seeking him out, no matter the reason." Shikamaru looked Shino over again. "Now that I think about it, I haven't seen you around for awhile. Did you find something interesting to keep you away?"

Shino looked grim. "Itachi was tracking me fr a while. I had to lay low and stay on the fringe of the forest...And there was also the fact that he ahd injured me. I was fortunate enough to meet a very skilled human healer. One that doesn't kill wampires on site."

"I'm surprised you didn't run into Kiba then. I think his spot he goes to is near our boundary lines. I do remember him saying that he saw you once or twice but usually you're someplace out of sight." While Shikamaru personally didn't hate Shino, he didn't hold him much higher than humans since he refused to feed from them. "There are only a few of us in this forest who could pass as humans on a glance, you being one and Kiba another. He even still tastes the same as when he was human." Shikamaru licked his lips at the memory of the other night.

Hinata looked away and nodded. "I-if that's what you think is b-best." She whispered, watching a firefly land on one of the flowers. I don't want to leave Kiba-kun alone though...

Kiba shook his head. "It's what you think that matters. It is your life and you're free to do as you wish with it." he rubbed his stomach as a sharp pain hit him. I need to feed but I'm not ready to go. I can wait a few more minuets... "You should remember that when you go back. Your life belongs to you, so you do what you want and be with whomever you wish."

Hinata looked up quickly then let her gaze fall back t the firefly and the flower. "I-I can't. I-I can't let everyone d-down. M-my whole clan w-wants m-me to marry Neji-san now and...I can't let them down." She shook her head, ignoring the sadness she felt at knowing she couldn't control her own life.
