I read somewhere that ALW finally named his sequel.
"Phantom: Once Upon Another time"
barf
IMDB also wrote that he wants Gerry Butler to reprise his role in the stage sequel. I don't really rely on IMDB, and I doubt/hopenot that Gerry will actually take on that role. Especially if he was on stage. I'd be throwing fruit if he did.

If you're still worried about the title, ALW ran the first act earlier this month at Sydmonton for around 100 people.
Behold! A Summary of Act One and other such oddities
For people who are too lazy to check out the main link, here is said summary: "The Phantom, having fled Paris, is running a freak show. At night, he crawls into his lair and makes love to an automaton that looks like Christine. Christine, meanwhile, has become a famous opera singer. But she's fallen on hard times because her husband, Raoul, has squandered their fortune. So she's accepted a high-paying gig from a mysterious impresario to open a new amusement park. On her first night in New York, she draws back the curtain in her hotel suite and comes face to face with her new employer — flash of lightning, crash of chords — the Phantom! Christine has a child, Gustave, but is his father Raoul or the Phantom?"
Dear God...

Gustave. Sure, Pierre is a generic French name, but it's at least a little pleasant to hear. Gustave is just....blagh.

What's worse is that, if you saw the movie/paid really close attention to it, Gustave Daae was the name of Christine's father. I guess she can name her son after whoever she wants, but as mentioned previously, Gustave is a less than desirable name.
But besides that-I'm actually more appalled that Erik is (a. Running a FREAK SHOW and (b. Is an active Robosexual.

<******** is EXACTLY like Disney's 'Bambi 2' deal. And 'Mulan 2', and 'Cinderella 2 & 3'.
We don't need a sequel, especially not one like this.
If ALW actually does this, we should castrate him.

Running a freak show? What, is that supposed to be some sort of 'revenge' for his childhood? Erik wouldn't do that. He's a bit psychotic, but it seems like he'd rather go on a rampage against them than run one.

The only other Webber production I've seen is Cats.....I like Cats. sweatdrop Though it's more nostalgia and liking the songs than anything. How could I dislike my first musical? XD

Wow. It sounds like a terrible idea. I like the musical the way it is...without a sequel. There are waaay too many plot holes and inconsistencies with POM.

He's a bit psychotic, but it seems like he'd rather go on a rampage against them than run one. It demmed well better not be 'revenge'. Erik went through HELL when he was displayed as a freak. WHY would he want to return to that environment....and to ENDORSE it?
