Ooh, I am a moderator, aren't I? And again, thanks so much, NAL, for everything you're helping out with. Much appreciated heart Go ahead and set it so that guests may vote as well; everyone's opinion matters here. I wanna be able to cater to as many people as possible.

Done. I 1) made it so ALL can vote, and 2) made it so ALL can make polls. We have another poll going now at http://www.internets101.com/dan/viewtopic.php?t=29 , btw. READ before you vote; don't vote on anything except the translation you'll be using for the Bible study. (I wish it were possible for me to 'undo' people's votes so they could vote again if they wanted to, but I can't...)

Discussion thread for Numbers: http://internets101.com/dan/viewtopic.php?t=58 (again, no need to register to post or vote! I recommend using your Gaia account, though, if you want everyone to know who you are. wink ) Edit: I keep setting it so "ALL" can vote and create polls, but it keeps changing it back to "REG" (registered users.) It doesn't seem to like the idea; I think it keeps track of poll results with usernames. So you can post and all without registering, but you gotta register to vote, I guess.

I am so sorry, guys! I have barely any time to do anything on the computer lately, as school has started back up for me again. I have class every day except Friday, and two night classes- one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday- that don't get out until close to 10:00. I officially/unofficially leave NAL and Faith Fairy to monitor the poll and see what everyone's reading plan preference is (or has that already been decided? eek ). I'll check back when I can, but I think in general the creation of this Bible study will be postponed until at least Christmas. I'm so sorry, guys. **deep bow of apology** crying

I guess I'll make Faith Fairy a mod, then?
By Christmas I'll be about done with my reading plan. I'm still gonna be following my reading plan and posting links to discussion threads in this sticky; so by no means does this Bible study have to be dead (or awaiting revival)!
But yes, when school starts for me, too (Monday) you'll see me less often, too.

The Bible study sounded like a really great idea when I suggested it, but I never realized that everyone would hold me responsible for getting it started. I just figured someone would be like "yeah, that's awesome," and go start it. I guess I didn't realize what I was getting myself into, and I feel really bad for taking forever, and not even really doing very much with it. It's unfortunate that I'm so indecisive, and I can't just say "okay, this is our reading plan- okay, this is what we're reading this week- okay, this is what we're talking about this week." If there is anyone else out there with better leadership skills than the ones I've got, feel free to PM me, and you can help out with it too. So far, I think NAL has put more work into this than I have. **gives a special thank you cookie to NAL** He started a separate community and forum devoted just to the Bible study, and worked out everything so people can vote. He's even already following his own plan.
Perhaps it might be easier starting later than sooner, so if we do by some weird chance decide we wanna read the Bible in a year, we can actually start at the beginning of the year (January). But I don't know. Again, I'm really sorry for all of you guys who were looking forward to this.

Well, I tried to work it out so everyone could vote, but I think phpBB keeps track of votes with usernames -- it won't keep the change so you can vote without registering. Everyone can post, though.
It's not really your fault, Fushi. Only three people who expressed interest bothered registering to vote, yet the poll got 282 views? Something's not right.
I can lead this thing, if anyone really needs a leader. The thing is, a group study doesn't really have a leader -- everyone should be equally involved.
As for the plan, "All of the above; threads for each group discussing separate things" got the most votes (four.) So everyone just needs to start reading and posting threads about whatever they want to discuss (as I've said, you don't have to register to post.) And as I've already recommended, I think a thread per book would be a good idea, unless there's a large amount of discussion involving a specific book, in which case threads can be made for each discussion.
And, again, people can make threads and polls about whatever they want related to the Bible study...
