It caught her in the shoulder, almost making her drop the bat, and quickly went so painful it was numb. Just as quickly, A.C. realized how hopeless this situation could get for her if she didn't take control--soon. So, how do you deal with a guy who can phase through and attack that instantly? Hit 'im as he's coming, of course, if you follow video game lore. But A.C. had never played a video game, and didn't know that. So what she did... is play dead.
Her eyes rolled up in her head, and A.C. dropped like a stone, bonelessly, as if his touch had taken something vital out of her. In this City of supers, she thought quietly, in the dim little corner of her mind, how is he to know that I'm not one, too? Every super has his weakness, and Mackie might just be mine.

((*slightly ticked* Who said she let go of the bat? But anyway, good night. See you whenever.))
That gave her the freedom to shut her eyes normally, that heavens. It's actually really tough to keep them half-lidded and rolled up like that. Still, though, she did nothing else, and acted like dead weight.

Sahaqiel Ashura paused when he heard Seth's voice behind him. "Genesis?" He said as he turned around. He grinned and nodded. "Thought so. Are you here to try and kill me? Or join me?"

Ashura laughed. "Quite well actually. I am able to use my age and experiences to get what I want from this Alliance. Why don't you join us? Isn't it them who killed you?" He laughed again sizing up Seth.

Jaydis was silent as she walked the streets. She was letting her feet lead her home as she turned herself inward to think. Things were getting rather interesting within the city. Rumors of War between Humans and Supers buzzed about the bar where she worked and she couldn't be more satisfied with this particular rumor. Though she doubted she would choose a side unless prompted, a war with the Humans, particularly their Catholic Church, interested her to say the least.

"Jaydis Hades," A dark haired woman leaned against the wall across the street, her red eyes staring back at Jaydis, a small smirk across her face. "You seem to hide yourself rather well. It took a while to find you."

Tsukiyomi Morningstar Jaydis lifted her head slowly and stop her stride. She turned slowly to the woman. Her dark eyes held amusement as she watched the woman carefully. "I pride myself on that ability." She replied simply, "I don't like to be bothered." Ora shrugged, "few people do, but it takes bothering to get anything done, anything gained, anything revenged." She brushed a strand of dark hair behind her ear, "life is just a play of powers after all."

"Yes, Jaydis, revenge." Oralia's smile grew darker. "It's what this war is about, and that's what I offer you. A chance for revenge, in exchange for the slight bother to join our side."

Jaydis thought a moment. "Why seek me out? What do you care of my revenge?" Her mind was made up, of course. If she could use others to help obtain her revenge, fine. She could care less who lived or died in this war as long as she got what she wanted from it.
