((Lalalaal, leeleeelaaa~! I POST!! Yay.))
Cherokee half smiled at Enzo's pitiful joke, but said nothing of it. He hadn't found it too funny either. "I'm just glad you're alright... more alright then I thought." He nodded at Beatrix who gave a laugh and ruffled Enzo's hair.
He then caught his cellphone and slid it into his pocket. "I just ran after her." He jerked his head to the kitchen. "She was bleeding... and I figured you could take care of yourself... or at least long enough until I could find you again. You're... you're not in a good place." He stopped himself there and said no more.
Beatrix flashed Enzo a pretty smile. "I'll behave." She remarked in mock disdain, while examinging a finger nail. "Cat fights are too messy anyway."
Cherokee half grinned, but then turned around as Amma stepped through the kitchen door. Her deep sleep had been very short lived and he suddenly wished to crush her cell phone for waking her up.
"I have some clothes you could borrow." He remarked. "They wouldn't fit... but they'd be clothes." He shrugged his shoulders helplessly, feeling too tall.
Beatrix quirked a brow. "You should let her shower first... and I could run by my place and pick her up something. She'd be SWIMMING in your clothes, Chief... even if you were a cross dresser you're girl clothes would swallow her whole."
Cherokee flushed beneath his dark skin muttering something about 'what the hell was I supposed to say?' and Beatrix turned to speak to Amma directly, but Enzo spoke up sudddenly making them all turn to face him.
Beatrix smiled softly, and looked to the others. Cherokee was fixing Enzo with that look that he used on so many others. His face was unreadable and stonelike and his light eyes were searching his friend's face. He seemed to look right through him, as if he could have seen exactly what he was thinking or feeling. After a moment he smiled, but it vanished quickly.
"Running away?" He asked. "How would we get out?" Cherokee patted down his jean's pockets. He needed a smoke. "I'm sure everyone will be looking for us now."

((Ummm yeah thanks for saying Happy Birthday guys.
Anyways, I had an AWSOME party! We went bowling last night and laughed and talked till 3 in the morning, woke up at 8, went to Taco Mac, played games, and played DDR for 2 hours straight...and my arms hurt from bowling and arm wrestling! I'M SO WEAK! :[
But I'm rich now...hahahahaha...*hacks* And my stomach hurts from all the junk food, pizza, cake, and nachos. Now I just want to sleep early. Hah.))
Amma looked to Cherokee and shrugged, she was used to wearing Darius's clothes a lot, when she stayed at his house for the heck of it. But then the new girl interupted and her multi-colored eyes gave the woman a critical look, but said nothing, she didn't need to. Her state said it all, she was too tired to bother saying anything against them. It was only when Enzo piped up she looked up and starred at him.
"Listen to yourself." She muttered coldly. "You never get away, and if you try to run away, you're dead. Gang before yourself, that's how it works. I've had to do some of the banging myself. I should know." Her eyes narrowed, as though hurt by the fact he was telling them to chase after an impossible dream. "If we could...I would do it right now..." She propped herself up against the wall and looked around, cracked her fingers, and looked back up to Beatrix, studying her.
"Haven't I seen you around before?" Her pause was long as she leaned foward and narrowed her eyes again. "Oh. You're a whore." She nodded and cracked the rest of her fingers. It wasn't that she was trying to insult the woman, she was simply stating a blatant fact. "Yeah, a shower sounds nice...then I have to go to check up on...things..." Her voice trailed off and she glanced to Cherokee.
"So...can you like...show me to the shower?"
((haha not much, but you can't blame me, I'm tired...))

((Haha okay, heeeere we gooooo. Sorry about the delay. Lol yesterday was OMG I WANNA JUST SIT day. So I did. XD))
For a moment, Enzo completely forgot about his suggestion to just up and leave, and instead looked back at Cherokee in an almost angry way. 'You're not in a good place.' rang through his head over and over, and both made him want the heroine even more, and want to throw it out the fecking window. Unfortunately, as much will power as he had wouldn't stand up to the need for that little box in his pocket.
Until they all started staring at him, he pretty much ignored what was said, until Cherokee brought up what he'd been worried about. "Yeah, they'll be lookin' for us... but this isn't like the movies, Chief..." He scratched at an itch on the back of his leg and swayed from foot to foot, "They're not all-knowing. Hell, I'm the one who keeps things together, yeah? They're undone just as easily." 'Yeah, I could do them in a snap if I could just get my fix, calm myself down a bit... Yeah, yeah, this would be a cinch,' his mind finished.
Enzo frowned darkly at Amma's statements. "It's not hard for five people to slip away unnoticed in a city like this. They might come looking, but you know what? They ain't da cops. They can't get all the information they want. Somewhere along the way, they'll get caught. And by that time, we'll be long gone, yeah?" He threaded his fingers through his hair, taking a few breaths to calm himself. That's right... Stay calm... No need to shuffle around like that. You don't need a fix... Yes, yes you do.
His frown fell quite deeper when he called Beatrix a simple whore. "Don't call her that," came his muttered retort, knowing full well it was true... He just... didn't see her that way anymore. "And the shower's just down the hall." He waved a shaking hand in its general direction, then turned to look at Cherokee, almost pleading, "We can do it, ya know? We can. We can go get Emily right now, throw a few things into a suitcase or whatever, and we can GO. I'll get some bus tickets... We could go all the way down to California. Somewhere... I don't care. Just not HERE anymore. I sick of this hell-hole." His jittery hands found their way to his pocket, where they produced a small, painfully familliar box.

((TA DAH GO!))
Beatrix frowned at Amma briefly and at the remark of her being a whore, she chortled in a dark and wild voice. "I'm surprised you would remember one out of so many." She remarked back just as dispassionately, and gripped Enzo's shoulder a little as he leapt to defend her. "No, no." She said, eyes still on Amma. "She's just saying what's true and it's all I am. A whore. I'm just impressed she'd remember."
The woman pulled her mouth into a pretty smile full of bitterness, but before she could say much more she looked to Cherokee.
Cherokee looked to Amma as she quickly put an end to Enzo's plans of getting out. He'd figured as much from her. She was critical, brutally truthful, and harsh. She said exactly what none of them wanted to hear. Cherokee looked blankly at a place on his wall as Enzo rallied back with another argument.
Gang before yourself. Hadn't that been what had kept them all from moving on? Wasn't that what had kept Cherokee from seeing his little girl everyday instead of once in awhile? What had made him take up smoking because he knew he'd be dead before the smoke killed him? They knew the rules. Take a hit before thinking for yourself, tied by blood, honor, and crime.
But he had already broken that. He looked to Amma briefly. He was free, and he didn't intend to die, not now... not when for the first time in his life he saw something that could really make him someone. He was better than this, there was more to life than getting the other guy before he got you, more to life than bonds forged in blood and acts in the name of something you never believed in.
"We should go." He said simply. "It'd be hard... but we should try. Maybe they'll find us, and maybe we'll get killed. Worse comes to worse it's just a quicker way of getting out." He looked Amma straight in the face. "What else is there to do?" He wanted to know.
And he knew that there was nothing else to do.
((... that had to be the single most depressing thought ever... but it's so... true... o.O...*finishes*))
Beatrix, at seeing Enzo tug out his little box, frowned sorrowfully. Her dark eyes were sad and her face was paler instead of flushed flirtatiously, but she smiled. "You should sit." She commented as airly as she usually did, dismissing him to a couch with a wave of her hand.
Cherokee glanced at Enzo and his eyebrows drew together briefly, but he turned to Amma. "I'll take you there." He said as he offered her a shoulder to lean upon. He then helped her limp to where his shower was located. "I'll get some towels and soemthing for when you're done." He added on needlessly and touched a large hand to her chin briefly. "Alright?"
((THAT'LL DO PIG! *pats herself on the head and tumbles off to sleep* I NEED IT SO BAAAAD!!!!))

Amma watched Beatrix blankly and shrugged. "Most whores are god damned ugly and fake. The gorgeous, true ones make impressions." She seemed to be looking into the woman's head, as though she saw through every living fiber and every core that she could find. "I guess it's one way or another to get money. Just hope they all wear gloves, or you might have a baby...an abortions are bad, so you'd end up having to send it to an orphanage or loose your gorgeous beauty to stress. And no one wants that." Her voice was so matter-of-fact anything she said was beleivable. When Enzo spoke up again she looked to him.
"You think I don't want out either? I've wanted out ever since my first memory was in my god-damned brain. We all die in the end, thats my philosophy, might as well kill as many people as you can, get as much adrenaline rushes as possible, and do everything that could get you killed...and yet...every human wants to live." She was cut off on her depressing rant when Cherokee said they should go and she starred at him.
"You're kidding me. Do you understand what I've done? I have to fix things with them, with all of them. He could be dead right now, because of me. The person who protected me could be dead..." She stopped and glarred down at the floor, stopping herself. "I have people I need to protect too...if I leave...they know where they live...they." She finally stopped and let him take her to the shower.
"Hey..." she muttered to him quietly so she wouldn't be over heard. "I've ruined so many people's lives...why should I of all people be allowed to leave, if so many other's are dead because they wanted the same as I did. You know? I have to deal with my punishment for destroying the hope of so many people. Living here...dealing with this...having to suffer...this is my punishment." She then turned around and walked towards the shower, falling onto the toilet so she could get off her pants easily.
"If I left...I would be selfish, running away from what punishment God's givin' me. You can go...maybe that can be more punishment, or maybe not, since I know you'd be safe." She glanced up at him with a pathetic smile. "I think you should take your daughter...and your wife...and leave...you don't deserve this burden that I've put on you." She then unbuttoned her jeans, not caring he was still there.
"After I shower, I need to get my car and visit him...make sure they're treating him right." The subject change was so obvious. "Mind taking me to my car after this?"

((Hahaha, I needa post... SORREH ALA-FAAACE. But posting was my reward of finishing my language project to MYSEEEELF! Cos I'm lame... and needed something to motivate me... AFTER THIS IT'S TOO MY ART HOMEWORK! *types quickly*))
Beatrix seemed a little thrown at Amma's words, but then smiled. "Yep. I DEFINITELY like this woman." She remarked to Enzo. "She's an angel." She said with a warm smile in the black woman's direction. "Cherokee done good."
((and to CHEROKEEEE! Yaaaysssssa.))
Cherokee remained silent as Amma spoke, as he always did when he was listening. He let her finish until he even began to think of reponse, absorbing all she had to say and coming to terms with it. Though, when she attempted to change the subject he didn't do her the favor of moving on as well... because he didn't want to. If Cherokee knew one thing about himself it was that he didn't move on when something, or someone, was worth hanging onto.
"I don't have a wife." Was the first thing he said. "I screwed up." He frowned a little and had to look away briefly. "I really messed up that kid's life... I was amazed she even kept the kid when she found out she was pregnant." He admitted. "I tried... I told her I'd live with her." He had trouble looking up from the floor. "But she wouldn't have anything to do with me anymore. I was only a kid and I was gang trash. She didn't want to be living with gang trash." His light eyes flashed. "I'm s**t to her. Just s**t on her shoes."
He paused and finally looked Amma in the face. "I love my kid though and I'm just sorry I f*cked her life up so bad." Cherokee's stoney face reflected remorse and self hatred. "You're not the only one screwing up people's lives. Why should I be allowed to leave either? Why should I be allowed to live period after everything I've ever done?" He wanted to know, his blue eyes angry and then hurt.
"It's not god giving you punishment. It's just you." He said firmly. "I've spent all my life hating myself, trying to get rid of myself. But I'm still here, and if that's god's punishment then I'm going to do something with my life instead of trying to just destroy myself." He paused. "And if that's being selfish... then living must be selfish. Loving my kid must be selfish too... and wanting you to come with me has to be more selfish than anything."
Cherokee looked at her. "I won't go anywhere without you." And there as no lie in his words. "The last thing you are to me is a burden. If anything, you're what made me feel free." He smiled, a twitch at the corner of his mouth.
He then ran a large hand through his hair. "And I'll take you where you need to go." Cherokee said, at last answering her question. He then turned at headed back down the hallway in search of towels and clothes.
((that has to be the most he's said EVER.))

((Haha it is okay, Aka! I shall forgive you! It was nice to get online today and see TWO POSTS HOMG. It was nice to see SOME movement in the forums, whereever that happened to be. So now, I type! yay!))
Enzo did sit, and heavily, on Cherokee's worn couch. His shaking, sweaty hands fumbled with his box, and he felt like utter s**t. Because his body was going through witdrawl, because he was giving in, because he wanted to run away from everything, but knew, KNEW that he'd probably end up in something similar wherever they went. Why? Because the little syringe and what was held within it ruled him.
He quietly managed to tie the tourniquet around his arm and finally stop the shaking... The need for constant movement... He calmed down, and hated himself for it.
Guiltily stowing his stash back into his pocket, he ran his hands through his hair, straightened his shirt collar, and lightly prodded at his injured shoulder. It was feeling a bit better. At least there was that.
Cherokee had taken Amma to the bathroom, and so he had nothing to do but to sit and ponder for a while, before his mouth blurted out, "We really should go sooner than later. Leaves the rest of the gang less time to find us. They might not know where we live," Enzo had been sure to hide that fact... Even he was quite aware that in gangs, everything could go sour, and fast. "But it won't stay that way for too long," He laughed lightly, leaning back against the dusty cushions.
"Did you have anything you needed to take care of before we left, Bee?" Enzo flashed her a bright smile - the one of few things that brightened his otherwise worn, haggard features. "Because I really do want you to come..." At this point, he might have fiddled with something, but found no need, and moved on, "This city hasn't been good to any of us. I really want to try again," But somehow, those last words sounded completely hopeless.
The dark haired man glanced lightly at his watch, barking out a bit of a laugh at just what time it was. Nearly seven in the morning. "Maybe we should pick up Emily within the next little bit. She's an early riser, and might be raising some sort of mischeif for Cherokee's neighbor if we don't take her back soon."
He hadn't realized Cherokee had just promised to take Amma to the hospital, or wherever it was Darius and Joker might be.

Amma starred hard at the ground. "Heh...we're more alike than I first thought...though...it was someone else's mistake that time." She looked up at him as he turned to leave. "Cherokee...I at least have to do some things...you know...say goodbye...talk to him...and I want to go to Georgia...I have family there, I really want to see them." She smiled slightly, a glimmer of hope in her darkened, tired eyes.
"I like talking to you, we should do it more often." She laughed faintly and then closed the door when he left. Afterwards she carefully took off her clothes.
Lalalala shower lalala.
After getting cleaned off of the sweat, snow and blood, and who knew what else, she turned the water off and stepped out of the tub, almost falling due to lack of balance. Steadying herself she dryed off and rubbed whatever makeup was left off. Without the make-up she had two bruises on her face, one around her eye and the other near her cheek and chin, not to mention a few scratches on her shoulders and neck. Finally she found a comb, after minutes of searching, and ran it through her hair.
She then leaned against the sink and started to rub near her thight, massaging the stiff muscles. Her phone then rung again and she snatched it out of the dirty clothes on the floor and opened it up, then closed it again. She was already going to go to the hospital...she didn't want to bother with anything until then.
((haha crappy post, but whatever! And I'm not sure if I should have someone come up...since...well...I'll deal with it when they get to the hospital...cause like I had this idea before the rp started and stuff...but now I'm not so sure...D: Cause it's already been done. XD But I'm not going into detail yet...))

((Alright o.o... *shrugs and types having nothing better to do* BECAUSE I GOT EVERYTHING DONE TODAY, OH BABY, OOOOH BAAAABY!!))
When Enzo sat down heavily Beatrix sat along with him, stretched along the other half of the couch and dozing lightly. She was tired, and she had every right to be, more so being that at the time of night when most sane people were sleeping she was keeping company with a junkie, his friend, and his friend's girlfriend who apparently was in a load of trouble that would probably end her up in a load or trouble if she wasn't careful.
She was too tired to care, not that she would have if she hadn't felt like at any moment she was going to pass out.
When Enzo began to speak she half opened her eyes to listen to him. "Mmhm." She said at the appropriate moments, sleepily nodding her head. Though, she was thrown at the question of herself. That didn't happen very often. She frowned in a bemused fashion and raised her head so she could prop it on her shoulder.
"Me?" She questioned and then laughed a little, smiling in a very small way. "Are you saying that because you're high or because you mean it?" She asked of him, somehow touched. It wasn't often men meant what they said.
She then grinned and rolled over so her head was leaning on his shoulder, not wanting to wait for an answer. "Alright then. I'll go and we'll get Emily. But you and me, sweetie? We gotta make a deal, okay?" She leaned on his shoulder heavily for a moment as she brought herself back up into a sitting postion so she could lean around and look him right in his face. "Everytime you needa hit, I want you to make out with me instead." She rubbed at his chin in a jokingly affectionate way.
"And I mean EVERYTIME. You start getting the shakes, no questions asked, just grab me like you mean it and kiss me until it ALL GOES AWAY. How's that sound?" She laughed. "I swear if they had me in re-hab for guys like you no one would have any trouble quiting." Beatrix said cockily and flicked her hair jokingly over her shoulder.
Though her smile fell a little and she looked back at him. "Because I hate seeing you do that, you know? Cherokee too... but you and Cherokee making out wouldn't do much for me. So you know... only if you're up to it!"
((HAHA, WHAT? I dunno. I thought that was hil-freaking-larious. Anyway.. Cherokee and his small part... GO MAN OF SILENCE, GOOO!!!))
Cherokee emerged into the make-shift living room with a bit of a dubious look on his face. He had dropped off a set of his clothes and some towels by the bathroom door, knocking once of twice to let her know they were there when she needed them and the things he heard made him raise an eyebrow. But being the man he was he didn't say a word. He raised his remaining eyebrow to match the other and settled down beside the wall, a pair of cats coming to rest by his knees or in his lap.
"She wants to go the hospital." He said and looked to the pair on the couch.
"And being the genlemen you are, you're taking her?" Beatrix asked without pause.
He nodded, and glanced to Enzo almost guiltily.
