"I'm good with animals, and I can see your good with, well, alot of things! Scence I can't tell what this is, and it's in my mode of power, I want you to have it." Her smile broadend. "As, perhaps, a symbol of friendship?"

Lilla looked at the tiny egg in Maria's hand and back to Maria.. "You mean it?" Lilla said with a look of astonishment on her face.

"Yes. Of course I do." She grabed Lilla's hand and put the egg in it, then closed her hand. "It's all your's."

Lilla feels the warmth of the egg in her palm and and the stone in her other. She put the stone away and opened her palm to look at the tiny egg. It was so warm, yet cool to the touch at the same time. She'd never felt anything like it before. Later, she knew, she would have to do some research on it so she could give more proper care to it.

She opened her bag and pulled out a smaller bag. It had a cushion as it's inner material which provided both insulation and protection. I was similar to memory foam, but you could tell it wasn't. There was a soft, brownish-orange, suede material (she always loved the way it felt) that formed outside of the pouch-size bag (big enough for the egg to grow a bit); and a strip of black suede along it's seam. The inside was covered by a fiery-red cotton that was extremely soft to the touch.

Lilla gently placed the egg in the pouch after fondling it a bit with a loving expression upon her face. There was no way she was going to let it get hurt, especially with the upcoming battle with the other ship she was sure would come.

Looking up to Maria, she cradled the the pouch in both hands (although it could be held entirely in one) and smiled saying,
"Thank you.. so much.." Lilla hung the pouch around her neck and let it rest before her heart.

"Your welcome." Maria looked at the puch, then back at Lilla. "It looks like the egg was ment to fall in your hands." Maria reached back in her bag and pulled out a small leather bound book with a string looped through a hole in the top so it could be worn around the neck. "You may need this. It's no help to me anymore, but it might be of use to you." She opend the book and fliped through the pages. "They are blank now, but it will answer any questions you may have. It's called a Farie Book." She handed the book to Lilla.

As Maria pulled out the book Tramer tuned toward her amazed “a fairy book? I thought they were all destroyed” tramer said in an astounded voice as he walked up Lilla looking at the book completely forgetting about the upcoming battle that was at hand

"No. Only two remain." She looked at Tramer. "I have this one, but the other is aboard that ship." She pointed to the vampirate ship. "It belongs to the captain."

To Lilla's astonishment Tramer had been listening and came over just as she was just taking the book from Maria. She was looking at the book as Tramer and Maria were talking. Then, looking up confused she asked, "Umm.. what's a fairy book?" Lilla involuntarily hung the book around her neck.

Tramer looked up at Lilla “a fairy book is a ancient relic of unimaginable wealth, it has the power to answer any question, but you have to know how to ask it” Tramer said as he looked back down the book and then over to Maria “how did you manage to come a crossed such a rare item” Tramer said just then wondering how she knew the location of the secant book “how do you know that the captain of the other ship also possesses one” Tramer said in a queries tone
PostPosted: Sun Jul 01, 2007 11:32 pm

The statement an ancient relic... has the power to answer any question kept repeating itself in her mind. Not being used to blocking her mind before boarding this ship because she hadn't known of anyone else hearing others' thoughts, Lilla hadn't realized she was allowing her thoughts to trickle out like the water filled to the brim of a bucket with a faucet dripping above it. Then, hearing Tramer continue, she quickly absorbed them with a sponge, put a lid on it, closed its feed, and came back to reality.

She barely caught the gist of the part of Tramer's words that stated she need to know how to ask the book, and was thinking (this time without being heard) of how she would 'ask' a book questions. A look of confusion was still kept upon her face, yet this time it seemed to be able to understand things a bit better. Looking back up to the two in front of her, she heard Tramer ask how Maria knew about the other book being in the other captain's possession.

Lilla looked over to the other ship which she had momentarily forgot was there, and back to Maria. Lilla's right hand gravitated to the items around her neck. It found the book first. She looked down at it while lifting it up, then seeing the pouch that held the egg, she let the book hang about her neck and felt the suede that engulfed the protection of the tiny egg. This, she knew, was going to be a turning point in her life. Then, realizing she never thanked Maria properly for the book, Lilla blurted out,
"Thank you.." but her voice trailed off on the second word because she also realized she had just interrupted a conversation and looked down in self-disapproval.

Maria smiled slyly. "The book has been passed down from person to person, eventualy finding it's way to me. The captian on the other ship? Lets just say, well, we're old aquiantances. He got his book the same time I got mine." She paused for a minute. "Twins." Then she looked over at Lilla. "Your very welcome." She smiled.

Lilla listened intently as Maria explained about how the book came into her possession. She caught the inference that there was more to the story of Maria and the other captain, however, she knew personally that there are some things that are better left untold and didn't say anything as she looked down in this realization. Then, when Maria started talking again, Lilla looked up into what seemed to be nothing but the air between the two in front of her while only halfway listening, and turned immediately when she heard was a statement aimed in her direction. Her face beamed as she soon forgot what she was thinking about.

((I have been fighting with the decision to close this rp down or at least put it on hiatus. This rp has not unfolded how I had planed and I am finding it rather difficult to come up with a good story that I find entertaining. I would like some feed back and some plot ideas so that I will get some idea on what I can do to make it better. My specialties in rps though have been with the midievail which you have seen with the succes of the trial of heros rp. Hopefully I will recieve some feed back from those who wish to continue and some ideas for things we can do at sea besides raid ships.))

~Reasons for this debate.~
1. Not enough people to run a ship.
2. Not a lot of things to do.
3. It is kinda boring for me and I have not been able to get into character.

((Well, it is true that there are not many people to run a ship, but one person can have multiple jobs, right? I am having fun! And there will be something to do if we actualy atack the other ship or if it atacks us. I could be the other captian if you want.))

~Reasons for this debate.~
1. Not enough people to run a ship.
2. Not a lot of things to do.

((My thoughts:
1. There could be countless others on the ship that do not have speaking rolls but help perform the duties of running the ship—we just don’t talk about them.
2. We need to either finish this pending battle, win, lock 'em in the brig and go collect our bounty or let them get away for battling another day.
3. Not getting into character is the only valid reason to shut down this rpg--but several others of us are in character and can run with this one.

My plot suggestion: You go over alone to the enemy ship after we think we've incapacitated them and instead of bringing back the heartless vampirate captain you are captured and it's up to us to rescue you. This, by the way is a good reason for my character to come aboard--the disappearance of the captain is sure to break moral, even temporarily. When we've rescued you then we deserve a vacation--in the Caribbean love!

After thought: What direction did you plan for this rpg to go? Share your thoughts and we'll see if we can incorporate it into what we've been doing. CM))
