I just had some questions that might have to do with this that I was hoping someone could answer. I feel like there is an inconsistency with the timeline concerning the videos at Icicle Inn. In the last video where Gast is abducted by Hojo (to get information on JENOVA, right?), Aerith is already mentioned as being born. So...would that mean that Gast was abducted before Sephiroth's birth, or after? And also, why is it that only some people infused with JENOVA cells were manipulated by Sephiroth? After all, all SOLDIERs have the cells, but many are fought during the game, and not seen trailing after Sephiroth. There's also Vincent, who must have JENOVA cells if he's capable of transforming like he does, so why isn't he manipulated? Just wondering if anyone could answer. Thanks! heart
The Icicle Inn videos only explained to Hojo that Jenova wasnt an Ancient, which he didnt know, and a little about the existance of the Weapons. It was all after Sephiroth was born.
Sephiroth chose to only act through the main chunk of Jenova since it seemed the most logical to him. It could take the shape of Sephiroth and also drop off chunks of itself to fight if necessary. The humans wouldve just been controlled like Cloud was, then wouldnt have put up much resistance to the group at all.
Vincent only had his DNA infused with that of different monsters. That splicing, mixed with Mako, were what caused the ability to transform completely. He had no Jenova implanted in him, since Jenova was still under lock and key at the time of Vincents experiments.
