He snorted. There had to be some way to knock the kid around that didn't involve trying to summon something huge in here. Dusting his hands off he wondered what would happen if he got a shield spell under Kaleb's.
Shrugging he tried to set a Protect spell up under Kaleb's own shields attached with a lightning based spell.

Kaleb really had no idea what Reno was trying to do, since he could dispel shields as easy as he could create them. The tricky part was making sure the lightning properties didn't shock him, and that was done by using a semi-permanent form fitting shield that would last him the rest of the practice, which would ground the lightning on it's own. It would be useful considering how Reno seemed to favour electric attacks.

Wrinkling his nose he leaned on one hip. "Ya know ... it's funner when i can actually knock you on your a**." He liked blowing s**t up more. Massive destruction rather than picking at things until he figured out how to get around Kaleb's shield.

"It wouldn't be fun for me," Kaleb said, frowning a bit, still nursing his smacked wrist. "I'm not as good at close range shielding, would you rather practice that?" he asked, but then he remembered he kind of broke Reno's weapon.

"Ya kinda ******** up my e-mag" Walking over to a wall he pulled another of the weapons out of the case. "Guess i can use this. Warning ya that'shul get a full shock if it hits'cha"
His personal one had been modded to not deal a significant shock if he didn't want to but the standard weapons dealt enough to knock even Rude on his a**.

"I-I'm really sorry," Kaleb squeaked, blushing and holding his injured wrist closer to his chest. "I-I don't think electricity would be a problem, unless you want me to remove my lightning shield." He said.

Kaleb just bit his lower lip. "Then you wouldn't use it on me?" he asked, but dispelled the shield without waiting for an answer. If he was fast enough, he wouldn't need it. If he wasn't fast enough, then there was more incentive to get better.

He shrugged and came at Kaleb. He would use it but he wouldn't use it until he needed to knock Kaleb down. Otherwise it would be over too fast and the kid would be on his a** twitching before he could count to ten.

Kaleb brought up his good hand to produce a small shield that would block a head-on attack. This was going to be more difficult with only one hand, but he really didn't want to heal his wrist, and he didn't want to move it either.

It was slightly surprising that Kaleb hadn't healed his wrist. Twisting around he aimed a kick Kaleb's legs hoping to knock the mage down for at least a moment.

Kaleb only barely got an appropriate shield up in time, and even then it was a weak one that cracked invisibly at the blow. He sidestepped a bit as well so Reno would have to turn against his current flow of motion to attack again, and hopefully give him more time to shield.

Reno turned easily and followed Kaleb's movements. All the practice with Rude came in handy even if he usually got knocked on his a**. He made to grab Kaleb by the arm hoping the kid wasn't slippery too.

Kaleb squeaked as he was grabbed, Reno was much faster in close range combat compared to his magic casting. Channeling a large amount of energy, he used one of his infrequent fire-based weaves to make his skin scalding hot to the touch so Reno would let go. He also used a binding spell to cement one of Reno's feet to the floor, but that was more of an afterthought.

"s**t .. ********" His hand snapped off Kaleb's arm and hopefully onto his shirt. That wouldn't be hot right? He could hold onto him like that.
