Kaleb's blush grew brighter, and he adjusted his glasses. "I-I th-think I'll pass." He figured Reno was just joking, but it was still enough to pull a modest reaction from him.

He laughed again. "Yea ... Rude'd be a bit much for ya"
He snorted and was tempted to thump Reno in the head but that would mean moving his arms and he was being lazy.

It was good Kaleb didn't understand the full meaning behind that comment, even his more innocent thoughts on the matter were enough to make him blush and bury his face against Reno's chest.

He laughed against and nuzzled one of Kaleb's ears. Of course the innocent kid didn't get it but it was still funny seeing him blush about things.

Once his blush had faded a bit, he looked back up. "You both have today off?" He asked.

Kaleb's blush grew. "W-was last night really that bad?" He asked hesitantly, although he was refferring to the events that led him to be called in, he was still rather embarassed to look up to meet Reno's eyes.

"Let's just say it was good you weren't there." Reno and Rude had been forced to crack a few skulls and Kaleb probably wouldn't have liked the scene afterwards.

Kaleb nodded, if Reno was saying that it meant it would have been violent. He still occasionally had bad dreams about the first job he had been brought on, and although they didn't disrupt his sleeping anymore, he certainly didn't need another incident to bring back the really nightmares.

Kaleb nodded again. "I-I'll have to get used to it eventually though," he said in a quiet and almost frightened tone. Working in the emergency clinic at the hospital meant he had handled all sorts of injuries, some of which could be described as brutal, but he had no exposure to violence actually being done.

Kaleb blushed a bit, with an expression of mixed fear and skepticism. "Y-you w-wouldn't leave me, would you? A-and I didn't faint that last time."
