Feb. 6, 12:12pm, Madison, WI, USA, Falcon Home

Jade was sitting on the fluffy couch in the recreation room, with Harry, whom she was using as a pillow. They were staring at the crackling fire while hearing the sounds of laughing from the other side of the room. Hermione, Ginny and Ron were playing Jade's and Gumi's game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, on the Playstation 2.

"You're gonna get less points if you keep moving away", Hermione said. "Go forward! Hit 'em!"

"Yes!", Ginny shouted. "Now, get that car and run 'em over!"

The TV excreted the sounds of a car smashing into something, hard. Next the sounds of a car door opening and closing and then fighting noises. Jade gave a sigh and buried herself further into the depths of Harry's muscular, masculine arms.

"You know what?", Harry asked.

"Hmm?", Jade questioned.

"I don't think I would rather be anywhere else in the world, than right here.... with you", he said softly, kissing the top of Jade's head.

"Aw", Jade murmured. "I think I might have to agree with that. But I don't think my sister would."

"What do you mean?", he asked.

"Well,", she began. "Something tells me that she wants this war to be over as much as you and me and everyone else does, but I think that she wants to do almost anything to do it."

"What makes you think that?", he asked.

"It's just one of those weird feelings I get, that are sometimes wrong and sometimes right", she replied. "I just hope that this is one turns out to be wrong. Because if it doesn't I think I know what's gonna happen."

"What's gonna happen?", he asked. "Or don't I want to know?"

"It's something not good, let's put it that way", she said plainly.

"Got it", he said. "But, I don't think we'll have to worry too much about that. I trust Gumi enough to know that she'll do what's right in the end."

"For all of our sake's, I hope you're right", she said, exhaling an uncomfortable breath.

Feb. 9, 6:16pm, Madison, WI, USA, Falcon Home

The days pasted by in a normal dull, slow fashion. Everyone did whatever they could to keep themselves occupied. It wasn't until three days later that they got the large jolt of the war. Everyone was in the recreation room, watching a movie. The movie was almost done when from out of nowhere, the entire base shook with the force of a five point earthquake.

"What the bloody hell was that?!", Ron exclaimed, clambering off of the floor, where he ended up after falling off the couch.

"Jade?!", Harry yelled, no seeing Jade anywhere. "Jade, where are you?!"

"Gumi!", Draco yelled, not seeing Gumi either.

Just then, Jade's voice came over the PA system. "Everyone get to the door room, now!"

Without another word, everyone ran to the door room. All the doors were locked. Back in the panel room, Gumi and Jade were pushing and flipping numerous buttons, switches and levers. On the main screen, they were looking at no less than 250 Death Eaters all roaming around and in the small house above.

"There's no way we can take all of these guys ourselves", Gumi said.

"We don't have to", Jade said. "If she zap Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Draco and Harry with the army knowledge we have, they can help."

"Wait", Gumi said. "You want to manipulate our best friends' brains, just so that we can get rid of all the Death Eaters up there?"

"Yeah", Jade said, simply. "Only just a temporary zap, but yeah. Mm-hmm."

"Ok", Gumi said. "Let's do it."

Both Jade and Gumi exhaled, what looked like a bubble of green-ish gray smoke. They watched as the smoke bubbles traveled down through the vents to the door room where everyone else was. When both of the bubbles burst, everyone got a bit dizzy, but just dismissed it.

"Yet another success", Gumi said with a smirk.

"You want the tanks?", Jade asked.

"Duh", Gumi replied.

"Let's go", Jade said, and they left the panel room.

They got down to the door room, and were immediately glomped by Draco and Harry.

"Jade?", Harry asked. "What's going on? Why did we all just get dizzy?"

"You all got dizzy because we temporarily gave you a copy of the army knowledge we have so that we can get out of this alive", Gumi said.

"What's going on?", Draco asked. "Why do we need army knowledge?"

"Because, there are about 250 P.O'd Death Eaters up top trying to get at us, and we gots to get 'em", Jade said, in a way that made her sound like she was from New York or New Jersey. "Harry and Hermione, you guys come with me. Draco, Ginny and Ron, you go with Gumi."

"Why do I get more people to look after?", Gumi asked, as Jade opened the door to the army vehicle room.

"Because we need more hummers and tanks than amphibian vehicles", Jade said.

"True", Gumi said.

They all ran down the long tunnel, emerging into a large room full of guns, gadgets, eight tanks, twelve humvees, six vehicles that looked to be half tank and half boat, and a three mini-submarines. They also found that they were now in army clothes and not in the clothes they were in before.

"Draco, Ginny, Ron", Gumi said, pointing to a tank and two humvees as she ran to open the top of the tank she was gonna use.

"Hermione, Harry", Jade said, pointing to a mini-sub and an amphibian tank.

Gumi and Jade then proceeded to toss guns and gadgets to the others from almost halfway across the room.

"Now!", Gumi shouted. "Once we get up top, you better start shooting at anything that moves!"

"Don't worry about shooting each other, the tanks and trucks are magically enforced, so you can't blow up each other and they can't stop you magically!", Jade yelled out, slapping the mag into the combined uzi-rifle she was holding.

"So, pretty much, we're indestructible, and they aren't!", Gumi shouted.

"Any questions?!", Gumi and Jade shouted. Everyone shook there heads. "We asked, ANY QUESTIONS?!?!"

"NO MORE QUESTIONS!", the others shouted back.

"Let's hit it!", Jade shouted jumping into her amphibian tank. "Coms check?"

"Coms check", Gumi responded.

"Check", Hermione said.

"Check", Draco said.

"Coms check", Harry responded.

"Check", Ron and Ginny said at the same time.

"Let's get some", Gumi and Jade said, kicking there tanks into gear.

Draco, Ron and Ginny followed Gumi out of the room via an attack tunnel leading to the surface, while Harry and Hermione followed Jade down through a watery tunnel that was masked in the floor by a small pool. They all drove, at full speed out of the camouflaged tunnel exit in the ground and shot up in the pond at the tail end of the house, surprising the heck out of all of the Death Eaters.

"Oh, sorry", Jade said, over her loud speaker. "Was your attack supposed to be a surprise?"

"Amatures", Gumi said over her loud speaker. "All of ya. Alright, Lions, take 'em out."

"With pleasure", Jade said over her loud speaker again.

The attack commenced. Bullets, sparks, jets of light, grenades and bodies flew everywhere. At one point spotted a Death Eater trying to run for it.

"Oh, no you don't you little bugger", she said.

She turned her tank towards the running Death Eater and let loose a rocket which caught him by the cloak, and carried him high into the air before exploding. When she turned back to the fight, she saw Hermione letting go of a torpedo which creamed a Death Eater that was trying to get at her in her sub. She then looked over at Gumi, who had one of the Death Eaters by the head in her mechanical arm and she shook him so hard that his body flew off of its head. In a spur if randomness, Jade sent an exploding arrow to the flying headless body and watched it blow up.

"Nice one sis", Gumi said over the coms.

"Not a problem", Jade replied.

"Is that all of them?", Draco asked over his com.

"Nope", Harry said over his com and rolled up next to Jade. Jade couldn't see anything but heard a small scuffle and then about ten shots from a rifle. "Now that's all of them."

"What was that?", Ron asked over coms.

"One was trying to get into Jade's tank/boat/thing, but I got him", he said over coms. "I'm gonna need a shower now, but I got him."

"Nice going, Harry", Ginny said.

"Crisis over, for now", Jade said.

"Yeah, for now", Hermione said.

"Alright guys", Gumi said, over coms. "Let's pack it in."

They all drove there tanks, half tanks and humvees back down to the army vehicle stowage, packed up there stuff and later that same night, they took a portkey back to Hogwarts.

Feb. 9, 10:46pm, Hogwarts, Dumbledore's Office

"You took out that many, huh?", Dumbledore said, slightly amused. "Well, I must say, I didn't think they would send almost all of the Death Eaters in one group."

"He must be getting sloppy now", Jade said. "And now, without most of his Death Eaters, he's more vulnerable."

"That's true", he replied. "But, we shall discuss this more later. For now, I will let you go regal your friends with your tales."

"Wait, what?", Harry asked. "Everyone is back?"

"Yes", Dumbledore said. "Once I heard the news that most of Voldemort's Death Eaters were taken out in your fight, I felt it safe to bring the students back."

Feb. 9, 10:48pm, Hogwarts, Dumbledore's Office

A long silence followed the Headmaster’s revelation, which wasn’t broken until Kagumi cleared her throat. Draco looked at her and noticed that her eyes had gotten darker. He watched as she shook her head; when he got another look, her eyes were back to normal. He blinked hard once, twice, three times to make sure that he wasn’t hallucinating.

Kagumi slipped a hand in her combat suit and pulled out a tiny scroll, laying it on Dumbledore’s desk. As he read it, his face became increasingly paler. Finally, he rolled it up and handed it back to Kagumi.

“So…he seeks the power of the gods, now?” he asked quietly.

“Yes…appears that near immortality simply wasn’t enough for him,” Jade spat. Kagumi looked faintly miserable, as she began to tell them what happened in her dream. It left them all stunned. She picked up the conversation with Jade's last statement.

“He’s damn near succeeding too…the Mol’Grati have already been constructed, as well as Inferi raised. He’s probably working on the Skal'tum as we speak now. And I’m almost positive that…some of the more intermediate gods have fallen. Talos, Mystra…even…Eilistraee.” Dumbledore’s eye widened significantly behind his half-moon spectacles.

“Even the Dark Maiden? What about Corellon? Surely not even the God of the Elves has fallen to the Dark Lord’s quest?” he asked, without a trace of humor in his voice. Harry, Hermione, Ron, Savean and Draco all looked between the three people talking, feeling vaguely lost. Jade and Kagumi both smiled.

“No, Professor. The King of Elves is far from in danger. He has fled to the Selestial Realm. So he’ll be fine. But many other gods don’t listen to him. And they’re the ones that are in danger," Jade said secretively.

“And soon, the DragonRider Envoys will be here, to root out potential and train them. Even to recruit some of them. Da won’t let Mum do it, but they’ll try. And then they’ll fly on, to other enclaves around the world, to find an army strong enough to challenge Voldemort.” Kagumi sighed. “I should be out there, training with them. No sitting in a dull classroom, and wasting my talents. They’ll need commanding officers. They’ll need inspiration - -”

“Which is EXACTLY why you’re HERE and not out there,” Savean cut her off. “You are too important to be out there in minor battles. We could easily lose you, and then where would we be? There are only two things I am truly good at: Riding…and staying alive. Why do you think I’m here?” He grabbed Kagumi by the shoulders, and forced her to face him.

“I’m here…for both of your protection. I used to think that you were just spoiled princesses, too far above their stations in life, here to make it miserable for the rest of us Riders. But now I know better. You truly are needed. Our people won’t last much longer if we can’t save them…we’re a dying breed as it is. Fewer and fewer Riders are being born. The death toll takes up a lot of our numbers…and beyond that, old age (the few of us that make it there) takes the rest. Death doesn’t care if you’re special, girls…but we still need you. We all want this war to be over...Because life's tough all over...” Kagumi angrily shook herself from his grip, and brooded by the window while Jade, Savean, Harry and the Headmaster made a series of attack plans.

Feb. 9, 2:56 pm, Gryffindor Common Room

Jade paced the floors while Harry sat talking quietly. She was as worried as she could be; her sister had never been like this. Harry was worried about both of them. Kagumi herself was up on the roof, Draco probably with her. Ron and Hermione sat listening to the discussion taking place in front of the fire, offering tidbits now and then.

“She’s never been like this, Harry! You don’t know her the way I do! All our lives, she’s been a bit fiery, and while that’s fine and dandy considering her elements…I’ve never seen her like this. I’m afraid,” she conceded as she paced restlessly. Harry looked up at her, the same fear she felt echoed in his own mind. He quite clearly remembered the day when she had blasted her way into Slytherin Common Room. He felt almost the same now.

“Is this what you meant? When you said that she might do anything for this war…you really meant it. In her eyes…there was something that scared me, Jadie. There really was,” he said slowly, trying not to offend Jade.

Hermione looked up from stroking Ron's hair. “I…what happened at the Challenge makes me think that there’s a chance…that maybe she would be an asset to the Dark Side…” She, too, chose her words carefully, so as not to alarm or offend the young girl who had worn a trail in the carpet from steady pacing.

Feb. 9, 3:48 pm, Astronomy Tower Roof

Kagumi sat shivering into Draco's embrace. He was just as worried as the others, and knew exactly how much Voldemort would love to get his hands on her. When she had begun crying, a soft rain pattered around them, easily turning to snow, which was quickly piling up on the roof’s slopes.

Winds whipped their cloaks around, even as her battle suit rustled every time she moved. Her usually golden face was becoming paler, he noticed vaguely. Is it just my imagination, or do her eyes have a little more red in them than they used to? He shook his head.

“I dunno what’s wrong with me…Jadie’s scared…I can feel it. But it’s like feeling through a bit of a haze. I can’t concentrate on any one thing except for fear, anger and love…In my dreams, and even in my mind sometimes, I feel like I’m walking through a London fog at night.

"Everything gets so dark, and even sounds are quickly devoured by the night. And I’m walking blind. I dunno if I even have a wand to defend myself. And I just know that being out there with the Riders, training for this huge battle; I just absolutely know that it would clear my mind.

“I’m needed. My people NEED us…both me and Jadie. But she’s content to sit here, and have our parents and our lifelong friends risking their lives for HER neck. But I’m NOT!” As Kagumi shouted this into the wind, a faint aura of fire and heat seemed to surround her. He could actually see heat waves coming off her shimmering hair. It wasn’t three seconds after she stood up, after shouting, that she collapsed and almost fell off the side.

Feb. 9, 4:21 pm, Gryffindor Common Room

Draco carried a limp Kagumi into the Common Room. Harry hastily vacated the couch and Draco gratefully laid Kagumi onto it. Unwilling to say anything about what they had talked about, he sufficed for saying, “She passed out…almost feel from the Astronomy Tower. Luckily, I caught her before she hit the balcony, so she isn’t hurt. But…I figured she’d be more comfortable here than in Slytherin Common Room…”

Feb. 9, 9:45pm, Great Hall, Rent Sets

"Alright, I know we have all been distracted from the musical due to recent events", Dumbledore said, to the cast sitting in front of him. "But we have to get back on track, and although you will not like it now, you will later..... I'm increasing night rehearsals till 1:00am and we'll now have lunchtime rehearsals as well."

Everyone groaned and after a silence, Jade stood up.

"What's so wrong with having more rehearsals?", Jade asked, looking at everyone. "We do have to get back on track. We got off track because of me and Gumi, and I don't know about all of you, but I'm willing to sacrifice to get this done. The only reason I signed on was to try and do something that wasn't the norm. Something new, and inspiring, and if I have to put everything away and do maintenance and all that myself I will, but if you guys wanna quit now, you might as well speak up, so that I don't feel like I'm wasting my time."

Jade was still up, in front of everyone, while they all looked at each other. Finally, after a minute, she turned to grab her stuff.

"I'll do the work", Hermione said, standing up.

"I'll work harder", Ron said, also standing up, next to Hermione.

"You know I'm in", Harry said, standing up.

"I started this, and I'm gonna finish it", Gumi said, walking over to Jade. "I'm in."

The others then agreed as well. "Alright", Jade said, with a determined smirk on her face. "Let's get to gettin'."

Feb. 13, 6:32pm, Room Of Requirement

Everyone stepped up to the plate and then some. Not only did they go through rehearsals with very little bickering, but they orginized other rehearsals, for the time between the end of classes and dinner.

"Ow!", Gumi exclaimed.

"Oh, the wax", Harry sang. "It's-"

"Dripping", Gumi sang, taking Harry's hand. "I like it between my-"

"Fingers, I figured", he sang back, retracting his hand. "Oh well, good night."

"And end", Jade said, standing next to the piano. The others applauded. "That was great."

"I finally got my note right", Gumi said.

"Yeah, you did", Jade said. "Now I can see why they made you Mimi."

"Aw, shucks", Gumi replied with a smile, pretending to blush.

Jade put her script on top of the pile of papers that she had brought and put on the piano. "Who all is singing at the Valentine's Day party?" Harry, Ron, Draco, Hermione and Gumi all raised their hands. "Coolio."

"What about you Jade?", Hermione asked.

"You know I'm singing, and I'm also working on the decorations so, don't expect to see me in the morning", Jade said.

"Why not?", Ron asked, stuffing his script into his bag.

"Because I'm gonna be barricaded in the storage room, making the decorations, I've been working on them since yesterday", she replied.

"Why just you?", Gumi asked.

"Because I'm the only one on the decoration committee", Jade said, pulling out a sandwich and soda from her bag as the bell rang for the start of dinner. "See you guys later."

"Aren't you coming to dinner?", Harry asked.

"Nope", Jade replied. "I gotta work on the decorations, but I'll be at rehearsal though."

And with that, she left.

Feb. 14, 12:27am, Great Hall

Jade didn't turn up for dinner, just as she said she wouldn't be, but she was present for the rehearsal that night. Towards the end, Gumi, Harry, Hermione, Draco and Ron all saw Jade talk to Dumbledore, him nod and watched as Jade picked up her bag and left towards the way to the storage room.

"Where's she going?", Harry asked.

"Why'd she leave?", Hermione asked.

"Isn't she gonna finish rehearsal?", Draco asked.

"Why do I have gum on my shoe?", Ron asked.

"RON!", Hermione and Gumi shouted at him.

Gumi got up and walked over to Dumbledore then came back.

"She's nuts", Gumi said to herself.

"What? Where's she go?", Harry asked.

"Jade asked, to leave early, to keep working on the decorations for tomorrow", Gumi replied.

"Well, when is she gonna be done?", Ron asked.

"That's the thing", Gumi said. "She isn't making the decorations by magic.... she's doing them all by hand."

"What?!", Ron, Hermione, Draco and Harry yelled.

"I know", Gumi said. "She's nuts."

"What are we gonna do?", Ron asked.

"Take a guess", Gumi said.

Feb. 14, 1:07am, Storage Room

As soon as rehearsal ended and everyone headed up to bed, Gumi, Harry, Hermione, Ron and Draco, detoured to the storage room, just off the Great Hall, to see Jade, passed out, marker and ruler in hand, listening to a small radio that she had with her. Her half eaten sandwich and partially drunken soda sitting on a shelf next to her.

"Now what?", Ron asked.

"Well, do we want to help her?", Ron asked.

"I think-", Draco started but was cut off by Jade shifting in her chair.

"I think we should go", Gumi said, closing the door.

"What?", Harry asked. "Are you kidding? There's no way she can get all of that done."

"If we help her, she's gonna know, then she'll think that we think she couldn't do it all by herself", Gumi replied.

Begrudgingly, they all went upstairs to bed.

Feb. 14, 6:30am, Great Hall

Harry tryied not to go to sleep, but finally, his exhaustion go the best of him and he passed out at around 3:15. Later, he awoke when Hedwig nudged his head, then lightly nipped his ear.

"Huh?", he murmured. "Oh, it's you. Hey Hedwig. What time is it?"

He looked outside and the sun had already come up over the distant mountains. In a flash he had grabbed his bag, adjusted his glasses and was out the door.

When he entered the Great Hall, he had to stop short or else he would have fallen down the new magically erected stairs. The whole room looked as if it had been sunken down as to accommodate the length of the stairs. As he looked around, he was in awe of the entire room. Streamers of red, gold, white and pink were strung up along the ceiling and the walls. The floor was spotted red, white and pink, due to the shiny hearts, stars and other shapes that were scattered around. He then looked up and saw, a humongous banner that ran the length of the Great Hall from the doors to the windows behind the Teacher's table, that read in big letters, "Happy Valentine's Day, Hogwarts".

Just then, the sent of Jade's waterfall/rain shampoo caught his attention and when he looked down, she was at the base of the stairs, in a red corset-like top, black tye-dye jeans and sneakers under her cloak.

"Morning, sweetie", Jade said, kissing him lightly on the cheek.

"How did you get all of this done?", Harry asked. "It must've taken you forever."

"Actually, by the time you guys found me, passed out, I was already working on the placement of everything and I hadn't put anything away yet, so it looked like I had more to do than I really did", she said. "Yes, I know you guys were down in the storage room."

"Uh, I'm not even gonna ask how you knew we were there", he replied, giving another look around the room. "You did a great job, honey. It's really awesome."

"Thank you", she replied, kissing him again.

"When was I gonna see this?", he asked, slipping her cloak out of the way a bit to see more of her red corset-like top.

"I don't know", she replied. "Possibly at some point. Anyways, this was originally ice blue, I just changed it to red for today."

"Still, I think it's hot", he said, leaning in and planting a kiss just below her left ear.

"You do?", she asked.

"Mm-hmm", he said in a muffled way, as his face was now buried in the crook of her neck.

"Ok, enough of that", Hermione said, sitting down across from them with Ron. "Virgins in the vicinity."

"Will you stop saying that out loud?", Ron asked. "You might as well just put a big neon sign above my head that says, 'Horny Virgin Here'."

Feb. 14, 6:31 am, Great Hall

Kagumi ran to Draco, hugging him and laughing giddily. Looking at them made Hermione wish that Ron were a bit smarter…But as she stared into his blue eyes, she tried not to smirk. For Kagumi had flicked her wand at him, and there was now a glowing neon sign above his head, that did indeed say “Horny Virgin Here!!!” with an arrow pointing down to Ron...in hot pink and orange lettering.

It hovered about four feet above his head, so that the glow didn’t make him suspicious. As people began filing in and taking in the decor, many girls were pointing to Ron and laughing behind their hands. One or two guys slapped him on the back randomly, or so Ron thought, and said, “Way to admit it, man…” Hermione tried so hard not to even crack a smirk, because she knew that if she did, she would collapse into laughter.

Kagumi flashed a cheeky smile at Jade, who was quietly sobbing with mirth onto Harry’s shoulder. Hermione kept her face impassive, carefully blinking whenever she felt like laughing; it was her technique whenever she couldn’t concentrate. The look on Ron's face as he turned toward Kagumi, who was now being fed chocolate-covered strawberries by Draco, was absolutely priceless.

Feb. 14, 11:21 am, Charms

Hermione sat beside Kagumi and Jade, who had been moved to their year because of the ritual Draco had performed that night which aged them five years, Harry, Ron and now Draco. Had Jade and Kagumi never come to Hogwarts, Draco would have sat with the Slytherins, who were staring at the group as they paired off for the practical part of their lesson. They were practicing Tickling Charms, along with a more complicated Cheering Charm, which was used on depressed people because of its intensity.

“Now, don’t forget your Shield Charms! We don’t want - -” further speech from Professor Flitwick was unsuccessful, as Neville’s Tickling Charm hit the short professor in the side. Seamus and Dean were holding the poor man as he laughed shrilly.

Kagumi looked decidedly evil as she and Jade were back to back, facing Harry and Draco, respectively. Her wand was hanging limply in her right hand, but Draco knew of the deceptive power her DragonRiding heritage had taught her. Harry flung a Tickling Charm at Jade, who flicked it away rather languorously. She shot one at Harry and got both Harry and Neville.

Kagumi's knuckle whitened for a split second, and Draco found himself rolling on the dusty Charms floor, laughing so hard that tears were pouring down his face. Hermione was not doing as well as she normally did, because the sign above Ron's head was still there. Though she had managed to ward of three of Ron's attempts to Tickle her, she got caught on the fourth time, and collapsed into his arms, laughing. All of her composure was gone, as she laughed and laughed and let out all of the humor she’d been holding in since Breakfast.

Just as the bell rang, the laughter subsided. The group was on it’s way down to lunch, when Ron noticed a reflection in the marble floors that shouldn’t be there. He looked at Kagumi and Jade, then at his own reflection.

“Oy! Get this bloody thing from over my head!!” he yelled after them as they flew down the halls. The entire group wound up chasing them all the way to Hagrid’s before they cornered them in the Pumpkin patch.

Feb. 14, 12:13pm, Pumpkin Patch

Ron had cornered Jade against one of the large pumpkins so that she couldn't escape. Gumi and Jade tried to make an escape, but Jade was laughing so much that she tripped over a small vine, letting Gumi get away, while Ron pulled her back. She was now sitting on the ground, giggling.

"Get, this thing, off, of, my head", Ron said through gritted teeth.

"But it's nice", Jade said through giggles. "And it speaks the truth, ya'know."

"Shut up", Ron said, angrily, while she still giggled. "Shut up, shut up, just shut, up." He was now jumping up and down in fury. "Get this off of my head."

"But everyone likes it", she replied, still giggling.

"Everyone-?", Ron started, now pacing in front of her. "I'm a freakin' laughing stock."

"Well, it was a good laugh", she said, kinda semi-giggling.

"Well, now, the laugh is over and done with", he said, stopping directly in front of her. "Now, could you, please, make this go away?"

Jade looked up and saw Ron looking down at his feet with a saddened expression on his face.

"Ok, alright, enough with the pouty face", she said, standing up and taking her wand out. "I'll do it."

Jade waved her wand at the sign above Ron's head and with a small 'pop', it disappeared.

"Thank you, Jade!", he said loudly hugging her tightly.

"Welcome, but, Ron, I still have to breathe", she replied in a strained voice.

"Oh, sorry", he said, letting go and running off up the sloping lawn. "Thank you!"

Jade pulled herself up to sit on the large pumpkin that she was cornered against and leaned back against the large stem of it, legs crossed in kind of a leisurely way, when Harry came over, and leaned up against the same pumpkin, still looking in the same direction as Jade.

"So", Harry said with a small sigh. "You ready for tonight?"

"Tonight?", she asked. "You mean as in, the singing thing?"

"Yeah," he replied. "Why? What did you think I meant?"

"Uhm...", Jade's voice trailed off, her face now a nice shade of pink.

Just then, Gumi's voice came from up the sloping lawn. "Guys, c'mon!"

"Coming!", Jade and Harry answered together and they started up to Gumi.

"Still, what did you think I meant?", Harry asked.

Jade's face went pink again. "Never mind."

"No, really", he went on. "What did you think I meant?"

"Honestly, I don't know", Jade admitted. "But I was pretty sure you meant something along the lines of something Hentai."

"Hentai?", he asked as they drew level with Gumi. "What's that mean?"

"Hentai?", Gumi asked. "You don't know what 'Hentai' means?"

"No", he answered.

Gumi got an evil-ish look on her face, but it left when she looked at Jade who had a 'say something and die' look on her face.

"It- I think I'll let Jade explain it to you, when she wants to", Gumi replied, then turned to catch up with Draco.

Feb. 14, 6:30pm, Great Hall

"Welcome, students to the Valentine's Evening Karaoke Party", Professor Flitwick announced and everyone clapped. "To start off our evening of what seems to be a musical event, we have, for you, Mr. Weasley and Ms. Granger, singing "Opposites Attract"!"

Spot lights began roving around the stage as Hermione and Ron came out, magical microphones in hand, singing, or on Ron's case, rapping.

"I'm Ron Weasley
with a rap to like it
heres a story your sure to like it
swift and sly
and I'm playin' it cool
with my baby, Hermione G.

Baby seems we never ever agree
You like the movies
And I like T.V.
[I take things serious
And you take 'em light]
I go to bed early
[And I party all night]
Our friends are sayin'
[We ain't gonna last]
Cause I move slowly
[And baby I'm fast]
I like it quiet
[And I love to shout]

But when we get together
It just all works out

I take--2 steps forward
[I take--2 steps back]
We come together
Cause opposites attract
And you know--it ain't fiction
[Just a natural fact]
We come together
Cause opposites attract

[Who'd a thought we could be lovers
She makes the bed]
And he steals the covers
[She likes it neat]
And he makes a mess
I take it easy
[Baby I get obsessed
She's got the money]
And he's always broke
I don't like cigarettes
[And I like to smoke]
Things in common
[There just ain't a one]
But when we get together
We have nothin' but fun

I take--2 steps forward
[I take--2 steps back]
We come together
Cause opposites attract
And you know--it ain't fiction
[Just a natural fact]
We come together
Cause opposites attract

you know it
baby baaaaaaby

Nothin' in common
for this trust
I'm like a minus
she's like a plus
one going up
one going down
but we seem to land on common ground
if things go wrong
we make corrections
to keep things movin'
in the right direction
I'm tried to fight it
I'm telling ya jack
it's useless
opposites attract

Baby ain't it somethin'
How we lasted this long
[You and me (nah nah nah nah)
Provin' everyone wrong]
Don't think we'll ever
Get our differences patched
[Don't really matter
Cause we're perfectly matched]

I take--2 steps forward
[I take--2 steps back]
We come together
Cause opposites attract
And you know--it ain't fiction
[Just a natural fact]
We come together
Cause opposites attract

I take--2 steps forward
[I take--2 steps back]
We come together
Cause opposites attract
And you know--it ain't fiction
[Just a natural fact]
We come together
Cause opposites attract ", Hermione and Ron sang and as they took their bows, the Great Hall exploded into applause.

"Whoa!", Flitwick said, coming back on stage. "That was quite a performance. Now, to keep it going, we have, next, Ms. Jade Falcon with "A Moment Like This"."

The music started up, in a slower tempo, and Jade began singing.

"What if I told you it was all meant to be
Would you believe me, would you agree
It's almost that feeling, we've met before
So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy
When I tell you, love has come here and now

[chorus]
A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss
Oh, I can't believe its happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Everything changes but beauty remains
Something so tender, I can't explain
Well I may be dreaming, but till I awake
Can't we make this dream last forever
And I'll cherish all the love we share

[chorus]
A moment like this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss
Oh, I can't believe its happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Could this be the greatest love of all
I wanna know that you will catch me when I fall
So let me tell you this
Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this

Some people wait a lifetime
For a moment like this
Some people search forever
For that one special kiss
Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this

Oh, like this
Oh, I can't believe its happening to me
Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this
Oh, like this", Jade sang the last note sweetly and as the music stopped, the Great Hall burst into applause again, as the big smile that had been creeping up on her face while she sang shown through fully.

Next up was Draco.

"And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
and sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When every thing's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When every thing's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When every thing's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When every thing's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am", Draco ended with a bow and as the hall cheered, he left the stage with a big smile on his face.

"Next", Flitwick said, coming back on stage. "Is a song that should please you, I know I enjoy it, Mr. Draco Malfoy and Ms. Kagumi Falcon, with "Broken"."

"I wanted you to know
That I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph
And I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

Because I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

You've gone away
You don't feel me here anymore

The worst is over now
And we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high and steal my pain away {both- only the word away}
There's so much left to learn
And no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

Cause I'm broken when I'm open
And I don't feel like I am strong enough
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

Cause I'm broken when I'm open
And I don't feel like I am strong enough
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone

You're gone away
You don't feel me here anymore", they sang and after Draco put his of the microphone back in the stand, he laid large, spontaneous, shocking and loving kiss on Gumi.

Professor Flitwick paused as he walked back out on stage, when Draco kissed Gumi. Draco left the stage again, but Gumi stayed where she was. Not because she was stunned, but because she was next.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen", he announced. "Ms. Kagumi Falcon, with "Helplessly, Hopelessly"."

Feb. 14, 7:02 pm, Great Hall

Kagumi's eyes scanned the crowd and locked on Draco's. He smiled tenderly at her, putting her in the perfect mood to sing her song. As the guitar music began, she waited for 9 seconds, and then began singing.

I can stand with the weight of the world
On my shoulders
I can fight with the toughest of the tough
I can laugh in the face
Of all my insecurities
Anytime, anywhere, anything
I'm strong enough

The drums kicked in and Kagumi grabbed the microphone from the stand as she walked across the stage, still singing.

But when you're holding me like this
I'm carelessly lost in your touch
I'm completely defenseless
Baby, it's almost too much
I'm helplessly, hopelessly, recklessly
Falling in love

She slowly stepped down a few of the stairs, pausing at the edge of the crowd. The crowd actually began to part for her, and Draco slowly walked forward a bit. The Slytherins looked on in amazement, realizing for the first time that just because Kagumi was a Gryffindor, didn’t necessarily mean that Draco couldn’t actually love her. Crabbe and Goyle stepped towards the stage, Blaise Zabini went to find his own girlfriend; soon, the only Slytherin who still hated the girl singing on stage as she touched Draco's cheek was Pansy Parkinson.

So let consequence do what it will to us
I don't care
Let the stars stand as witness to it all
Say the word and tonight I will follow you anywhere
I just can't pretend anymore
I'm too sturdy to fall

'Cause when you're holding me like this
I'm carelessly lost in your touch
I'm completely defenseless
Baby, it's almost too much
I'm helplessly, hopelessly, recklessly
Falling in love

I am not afraid
I am not afraid.....

'Cause when you're holding me like this
I'm carelessly lost in your touch
I'm completely defenseless
Baby, it's almost too much
I'm helplessly, hopelessly, recklessly
Falling...
(Helplessly, hopelessly, recklessly)
I'm helplessly, hopelessly, recklessly
Falling in love

On the last note, they shared a kiss as the Great Hall erupted into applause. Jade was screaming her sister’s name, and Harry was pounding a blushing Draco on the back. Ron was the only person not clapping or whistling; he’d seen what Draco and Kagumi share. And he wanted the one he loved, for he’d just realized that he DID love her, to be surprised.

Professor Flitwick looked at his scroll and cleared his voice in surprise. “Umm…Well, how odd. Our next performer is Mr. Ronald Weasley.” The short man stepped off the stage after handing the microphone to Ron, who looked at the ceiling as four first years clambered up behind him on the stage.

Before the music began, the five of them harmonized sweetly. Blue eyes settled on Hermione’s as she stood next to Harry and the rest of the group. The music began and then Ron's voice came out clearly from the other four sweet tenors, who kept perfect harmony with the notes.

She was my once in a lifetime
Happy ending come true
Oh I guess I should have told her
I thought she knew

She said I took her for granted
That's the last thing I would do
Whoa I'll never understand it
I thought she knew
I thought she knew

Hermione bit her lip as she looked at Ron; Kagumi elbowed Jade and pointed discreetly to the two of them. Flames were flying between them, even as Ron sang the next verse…

I thought she knew
My world revolved around her
My love light burned for her alone
But she couldn't see the flame
Only myself to blame
I should have known
I should have known

A heart full of words left unspoken
Now that we're through
I'd sell my soul to have this silence broken
Oh I thought she knew
I thought she knew

Tears threatened to spill onto Hermione’s cheeks as she pointed to herself. Ron nodded, his voice never quavering. He smiled warmly at her.

I thought she knew
My world revolved around her
My love light burned for her alone
But she couldn't see the flame
Only myself to blame
I should have known
I should have known

She was my once in a lifetime
Happy ending come true
Whoa I guess I should have told her
But I thought she knew
I thought she knew
I thought she knew
I thought she knew
I thought she knew
I thought she knew

Oooooooo
Oh I thought that she knew
Yeah ooooooo

Feb. 14, 7:12pm, Great Hall

The whole hall applauded as Ron put the microphone back in the stand and walked down off stage and sat down. When he looked back up at the stage, he saw Ginny, with a microphone in her hand, and right next to her, to his surprise, was....

"Neville?", Ron asked out loud.

Flitwick came back up on stage. "Ladies and Gentlemen, to continue on, we now have Mr. Neville Longbottom and Ms. Ginny Weasley with "Almost Paradise"."

The music started up and they began to sing, although they weren't singing to the crowd like the others did, instead they were singing to each other.

"I thought that dreams belonged to other men
cause each time I got close they'd fall apart again
I feared my heart would beat in secrecy
I faced the nights alone Oh how could I have known
that all my life I only needed you

oooh almost paradise we're knocking on heavens door
almost paradise how could we ask for more?
I swear that I can see forever in your eyes
paradise

It seems like perfect love is so hard to find
I'd almost given up, you must have read my mind
and all these dreams I saved for a rainy day(ooOOoo)
they're finally coming true, I'll share them all with you
cause now we hold the future in our hands

oooh almost paradise we're knocking on heavens door
almost paradise how could we ask for more?
I swear that I can see forever in your eyes
paradise

and in your arms salvation's not so far away
its getting closer, closer every day

almost paradise we're knocking on heavens door
almost paradise how could we ask for more?
I swear that I can see forever in your eyes

paradise
paradise
paradise."

They finished singing and the crowd applauded, with some of them who knew before hand about them, and some, like Ron, who didn't. Neville stepped off stage, as a new song started for Ginny.

"I'm Ginny Weasley, as you know", she said, pulling up a tall stool that was on stage. "And my song is called "Valentine", appropriate for tonight I think."

The music continued and when it was time for her to sing, she didn't miss a beat.

"If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly

I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time...
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
'Cause all I need is you, my Valentine
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine", she sang out the last note along with almost all of the others, staring directly at Neville with a smirk on her face.

Ginny put the microphone back in the stand and walked over to sit next to Neville. She looked at Ron, who was sitting across the table from them, with Hermione.

"When did you guys start going out?", Ron asked, leaning across the table.

"A while", Neville answered.

"How long is a while?", Ron asked again.

"About, since, Easter... of last year", Ginny answered.

"O...k", Ron said, still leaning across the table, but now he turned his head to look Neville dead in the face. "Nev, I like you and everything, but just so you know, regular family rules apply here: 'hurt not, lest ye be hurted'."

"Got it", Neville replied, knowing what he meant.

Now, to her surprise, when Ginny looked at Ron, he didn't look angry, but instead, he had a small smirk on his face.

They looked back on stage, which was now bathed in a golden light, and Harry was now, in a half opened white silk shirt, jeans and shoes, with microphone in hand, as the music started.

"You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold

So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold", Harry continued singing, even as he walked off stage, over to the table where Jade was, took her by the hand and brought her up on stage with him.

"Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
You forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold

I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in fields of gold
We'll walk in fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold", he sang the last notes and, mimicking Draco, only a bit more enthusiastically, he dropped the microphone on the floor, grabbed Jade, dipped her in a dance-like way and kissed her deeply, making a lot of the people on the hall whoop and cheer.

They both stood up, Harry picked up the microphone and gave the other one to Jade. With a nod to the band, a song with a Spanish feel to it, began, and the microphones shrunk and hooked themselves on Jade's and Harry's ears so that they could sing free hand, or, as to be in their case, dance.

"Follow me into my world
Let your worries fade with every
step you take
Baby whatcha' waiting for
Let the tango take control
Feel the music inside your soul (Oh)
My hand is out, just grab a hold

Watch time fade away
My arms will keep you safe
It's just you and me
Dancing in this dream

Whatever you do, don't wake me up
The feeling's real won't let it
stop, no

Don't be afraid, take my hand
Forget the world
Will you dance, dance with me
Puedamos bailar eternamente
Trust in me, take a chance
Feel the Tango
When you dance, dance with me
Puedamos bailar eternamente

Now I have you next to me
Everything is how it should be (ooh yeah)
Baby, don't fight the feeling
We're floating on the clouds
If I could, I'd never come back down (no no)
Baby just keep on groovin' groovin'

As time fades away
My arms will keep you safe
It's just you and me
Dancing in this dream

Whatever you do, don't wake me up
The feeling's real, won't let it
stop, no

Don't be afraid, take my hand
Forget the world
Will you dance, dance with me
Puedamos bailar eternamente
Trust in me, take a chance
Feel the Tango
When you dance, dance with me
Puedamos bailar eternamente

Dance with me
(I'm dancing with you)
For this moment in time
(My dreams have come true)
My darling just dance with me
If for only one night."

There was a small instrumental break in which Harry twirled and spun Jade around the stage.

"Don't be afraid, take my hand
Forget the world
Will you dance, dance with me
Puedamos bailar eternamente
Trust in me, take a chance
Feel the Tango
When you dance, dance with me
Puedamos bailar eternamente."

The song ended and the microphones, returned to normal were put in the stands, and the Great Hall, applauded and cheered as Jade and Harry took their bows.

"Wow", Professor Flitwick said as Jade and Harry sat down. "Excellent performance and as our last soloist fo the evening, we have, Ms. Granger, singing the lovely song, "Have you ever"."

Hermione took the stage and started singing, all the time, not taking her eyes off Ron, as he did in his song, to her.

"Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry
Have you ever needed somethin' so bad you can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words but they don't come out right
Have you ever
Have you ever
Have you ever

Have you ever been in love
Been in love so bad
You'd do anything
To make them understand
Have you ever had someone
Steal your heart away
You'd give anything, oh
To make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you don't know what to say
And you don't know where to start

[chorus]
Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry
Have you ever needed somethin' so bad you can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words but they don't come out right
Have you ever
Have you ever
Oh

Have you ever found the one
You dreamed of all your life
You'd do just about anything
To look into their eyes
Have you finally found the one
You've given your heart to
Only to find that one
Won't give their heart to you
Have you ever closed your eyes and dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait
For the day when they will care

[chorus]
Have you ever loved somebody
(So much)
So much
(Makes you cry)
Makes you wanna break down and cry
(Somethin' so bad)
So, so bad
(Sleep at night)
Have you ever tried to find the words but they don't
(Come out right)
Oh, have you ever
Have you ever, ever, ever

What do I gotta do to get you in my arms, baby
What do I gotta say to get to your heart
To make you understand
How I need you next to me
Gotta get you in my world
Cause baby, I can't sleep

[chorus]
Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry
Have you ever needed somethin' so bad you can't sleep at night
Have you (have you, have you ever needed) ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever

Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry
Have you ever needed somethin' so bad you can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words but they don't come out right
Have you ever
Have you ever, ever, ever
Oh, have you ever."

The song concluded and before Hermione could get the microphone in the stand, Ron had run up, put both hands on either side of her head, and kissed her, with such passion, intensity and gentleness that it made her knees go weak.

"What is this? The Kissing Game?", Jade asked, leaning back in her chair, closer to Harry, who was sitting right behind her.

"Looks like it, don't ya think?", he asked, brushing her hair off her shoulder and kissing her neck.

She leaned forward in her chair. "Alright, that's enough outta you, mister."

Just then, a loud, grating voice, came from the back of the Great Hall.

"Hey! You guys think you can really sing and dance?! Why don't we see who's better?! Slytherin, or Gryffindor?!"

Walking up from the back, was Pansy Parkinson, along with a two other Slytherin girls, who had smug, angry looks on their faces.

Jade, Gumi and Hermione all stood up at the same time as Pansy and the other two girls walked up and got in their faces.

"Name it, puggy", Jade said, as Pansy was now in Jade's face.

Feb. 14, 8:05pm, Great Hall

"Name it, puggy", Jade said, as Pansy was now in Jade's face.

"You", she said, indicating Jade, Gumi and Hermione. "Against us. One song, head to head, only you three sing, only us three sing. Loudest applause wins."

Jade looked back at Hermione and Gumi who nodded. "Bring it. Slimes first."

Pansy and the other two girls pushed by and walked up on stage as the whole crowd sat down at the many small tables, in anticipation of what was to come.

Pansy and the other two girls waved their wands and were instantly in scantily clad matching outfits. The music started and Pansy started singing.

"This is sick
Attention it's time to dance...

Work it like you're workin' a pole
Shake it 'til you're shakin' the floor
Pop it like you're poppin' a cork
Oh, don't stop, don't stop
Jerk it like you're makin' it choke
Break it like you're breakin' a code
Drop it 'til you're takin' it lower
Drop it, drop it...

This is serious
I'm delirious
So oblivious
I could dance all night
With you

As long as its funky (funky, funky)
This rhythm just makes me high
I'm like a junkie
I could dance all night

Work it like you're workin' a pole
Shake it 'til you're shakin' the floor
Pop it like you're poppin' a cork
Oh, don't stop, don't stop
Jerk it like you're makin' it choke
Break it like you're breakin' a code
Drop it 'til you're takin' it lower
I could dance all nite

Don't stop, don't stop

So intoxicated
I'm so stimulated
Feel so X-rated
I could dance all night

As long as it's funky (funky, funky)
This rhythm just makes me high
I'm like a junkie
I could dance all night

Work it like you're workin' a pole
Shake it 'til you're shakin' the floor
Pop it like you're poppin' a cork
Oh, don't stop, don't stop
Jerk it like you're makin' it choke
Break it like you're breakin' a code
Drop it 'til you're takin' it lower
I could dance all nite

Everybody on the floor (Let's go)
Let's get hardcore (Get low)
Make my sweat pour (Oh no)
Don't stop (Gimme some more)
Ooh my body's yours (Spank that)
Spank that back door (Do you like that)
Drive me like a Porsche (Yea)
I could dance all night

Uhhh
Can we take this party higher?
Uhhh
Now just put your hands to the sky and
I could dance all night

Work it like you're workin' a pole
Shake it 'til you're shakin' the floor
Pop it like you're poppin' a cork
Oh, don't stop, don't stop
Jerk it like you're makin' it choke
Break it like you're breakin' a code
Drop it 'til you're takin' it lower
I could dance all nite
Work it like you're workin' a pole
Shake it 'til you're shakin' the floor
Pop it like you're poppin' a cork
Oh, don't stop, don't stop
Jerk it like you're makin' it choke
Break it like you're breakin' a code
Drop it 'til you're takin' it lower
Don't stop, don't stop."

Most of the Great Hall applauded, some of the fact that the music was good, but thought the lyrics were raunchy, and others, mostly Slytherins, because they liked it. They walked back of stage, over to Gumi, Hermione and Jade.

"Beat that", Pansy said, in a smug, high and mighty tone.

"With pleasure", Gumi answered and they walked on stage.

They walked up on stage, they simultaneously waved their hands or, for Hermione, her wand, but when they did this, they weren't in scantily clad outfits. Jade was in a light gray and light blue vertical stripped knee length cotton dress, with blue jeans under it and slip-on black flats, and her hair was it's same length, but was now curly. Gumi was in a white blazer with a black under shirt, a white skirt, that also went down to just a hair above her knees, black tights and black boots, and her long hair was tied back in a ponytail. Hermione, was now in a magenta colored top, with sleeves a ruffle v-neck line, and a white under shirt, she had on black capris, black flats, and her hair was wavy, but it was half up in a ponytail and the rest was down.

The music started and instead of singing right away, they started tap dancing, but moved so that it looked better.

"Baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right

I did cause a commotion
I can't help but make a scene
I ain't lookin for somethin permanent to get at me
Tell you what it's gonna be
You better step up your game
Before you can step with me

Can't you see me walkin through the door
Maybe I should turn it up a little bit more
I can't help but feel responsible
For what the girls hate
And the boys adore", Jade sang first, then Hermione and Gumi joined in as Harry, Ron, Draco and Ginny came up to dance with them.

" Say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
come hit me up
come hit me up
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up
baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right."

Hermione and Jade stepped back to dance with the rest while Gumi sang her part.

"I walk in jaws all be droppin'
It's so electrified
Don't mean to intimidate
don't mean to make you loose your mind

If you want this work it for this
show me that you got what's right
you better make an impression
won't get another try

Can't you see me walkin through the door
Maybe I should turn it up a little bit more
I can't help but feel responsible
For what the girls hate
And the boys adore."

Jade and Hermione stepped forward and they continued.

"Say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
come hit me up
come hit me up
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up
baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right."

Then Gumi and Jade stepped back as Hermione took the solo.

"Uh ooh, hey(x3)
ohhhhhh", she belted as the others came back and they continued dancing.

"Say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
what's it gonna be tonight
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up!

say hey what's it gonna be tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey party with me tonight
come hit me up
come hit me up
say hey we been running all night
come hit me up
come hit me up
I know you feel it cause you checking me right
come hit me up
come hit me up

baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right", then everyone cut off, so that Hermione could finish the song.

"Baby baby, just a little bit
baby baby, just a little more
baby baby, let me see ya
walk to me talk to me handle me right."

As she sang the final note, the others gave a loud unison stomp, and the music ended.

The Great Hall exploded into applause once more, and this time, the only people who weren't clapping and cheering were Pansy and her two friends.

"Looks like we win!", Hermione said, with a smile as Ron hugged her.

"No, way!", Pansy yelled, standing up. "You had more people than us! We agreed on three people each!"

"Actually, there wasn't a three person limit", Gumi stated. "You said, us three singing, against you three singing. You never said anything about not having more people for just dancing."

"She's right", Pansy's friend said.

"Hey, you're supposed to be against them!", Pansy yelled.

"What? They're right", the girl continued. "They got the louder applause, they win, fair and square."

Pansy stuttered angrily then gave a loud shriek before stomping off out of the Great Hall.

Feb. 14, 8:12pm, Great Hall

Once things had settled down and then, from out of nowhere, another song started. Everyone sat down as two nicely muscular toned guys, facing away from the crowd, in skin-tight cat suits that made them look like Mr. Mistofelees and the other looked like Rum Tum Tugger, from the musical, Cats. They stopped in the middle of the stage, which now looked like it had a wooden fence, three tin garbage cans on it and a wall that had a window in it, to make the stage look like an alley. As they stopped they turned to face the crowd and most everyone gasped as they found that the two guys were Harry (Mr. Mistofelees) and Ron (Rum Tum Tugger). The song picked up a bit and they both started to sing.

"Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh,
Black and orange stray cats sittin' on a fence
Ain't got enough dough to pay the rent
I'm flat broke but I don't care
I strut right by with my tail in the air", Ron started, then Harry took over, both of them walking around like the actors did in the Cats musical.

"Stray cat strut, I'm a ladies' cat,
A feline Casanova, hey man, thats where it's at
Get a shoe thrown at me from a mean old man
Get my dinner from a garbage can

Yeah don't cross my path", he sang and then both Ron and Harry jumped back, landing on top of the wooden fence, and continued dancing, cat-like.

"I don't bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alley looking for a fight
Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night
Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry,
'Wild stray cat, you're a real gone guy.'", Harry and Ron then jumped off of the wooden fence and started carwling around the stage on their hands and knees.

"I wish I could be as carefree and wild,
but I got cat class and I got cat style.

I don't bother chasing mice around
I slink down the alley looking for a fight
Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night
Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry,
"Wild stray cat, you're a real gone guy."

I wish I could be as carefree and wild,
but I got cat class and I got cat style."

They stopped crawling around and stood up as the crowd busted out in ear breaking applause, whoops, hollers and some scattered laughter. They both walked off stage, right over to the table Jade and Hermione and the others were and sat down, as the band struck up, and people started to dance.

"Well?", Ron asked.

"Did you like it?", Harry asked.

"That-", Jade started.

"Was-", Hermione continued.

"Interesting", they both said together.

"Interesting good, or interesting bad?", Harry asked, half dreading the answer.

"Interesting, ingenious", Jade replied.

"I'll agree", Hermione said.

"And where the heck did you guys get these cat suits?", Gumi asked.

"We bought/made them", Ron said.

The others got semi-confused looks on their faces.

"Don't ask", Harry and Ron said at the same time.

Feb. 14, 8:16 pm, Great Hall

After the girls had gotten done laughing at Harry and Ron (And of course, after they changed back into normal uniforms), Dumbledore called the Great Hall to order. As he stood up, several boys laughed and hooted, for the old Headmaster was wearing hot pink robes emblazoned with red and silver hearts. Kagumi's face turned bright pink and the group looked at her in suspicion.

“It’s not what it looks like…I just…I was talking to the Headmaster the other day and he asked me my opinion of St. Valentine’s Day. And I told him honestly that until this year, I hated Valentine’s. So I told him that I thought it would be funny if the staff were to wear robes made...out of that cloth…” Kagumi's blush deepened as the others laughed.

“But,” began Hermione. “Only Dumbledore is wearing them…”

“Shhh…” said Ron.

“Happy St. Valentine’s Day!” Dumbledore’s voice called out. The Great Hall roared in response. “Now, I have a little treat for a certain group of students I’m exceedingly fond of.” Dumbledore waved his wand and the entire High Table was suddenly clothed in similar robes. Minerva McGonagall’s face suddenly matched her new pink robes; Filius Flitwick giggled squeakily; Hagrid guffawed; and the best reaction of all, Severus Snape…

“Did he just - -”

“He did!”

“No way!”

Kagumi's face began to get redder, and she started sinking lower and lower on the bench until just the tip of her black head could be seen. Suddenly, a loud burst of laughter enveloped the Gryffindor table. Harry’s eyes were streaming, Hermione was doubled over, Draco's normally pale face was bright pink and Jade had both hands clamped over her mouth, trying to stop the giggles issuing forth. Even Savean was seen laughing, a deep throaty sound.

Dumbledore took one look at Snape’s unconscious form on the floor of the Great Hall and shrugged. “Oops?” This caused even more laughter as Dinner began appearing on the tables, and only the students still laughing at Snape’s fainting spell noticed McGonagall lean over and put her pink hat on Snape’s greasy head. Kagumi roared with laughter as she saw McGonagall discreetly point her wand at the hat, which glowed a bright blue for a spilt-second, and then faded back to pink and red. She knew the others would see how funny it was tomorrow morning, when they all had Double-Potions with the Slytherins.

Feb. 15, Dungeon 53, 9:39 am

The assembly of students chattered amongst themselves as the door burst inwards and a very surly Severus Snape stomped inside. Pointing his wand at the chalkboard, he sat behind his desk and positively glowered at anyone who dared make a remark about the way he looked. Reading the first line of their potion, Kagumi bent over her and Draco's cauldron, whispering amongst themselves.

“Looks like he’ll force-feed us poison if we say anything…” Kagumi said.

“I know…It’s amazing. I never knew that McGonagall had it in her to prank a fellow teacher…or even anyone for that matter.” Draco replied, chuckling under the collar of his robes at Snape gave a hearty tug at the hat that was still attached to his head.

“Makes me wanna do something…Horrid…”

“No, Gumi, don’t!!” But it was too late. Kagumi had already raised her hand and caught Snape’s attention.

“What is it, Falcon?”

“Sir, if I may be so bold…why do you have a hat from yesterday on your head?” Kagumi's cheek was only barely concealed under a very carefully placed serious look…but one who knew her well, such as Draco did, could see that she was dying not to laugh at the person she so desperately hated.

“It’s none of your business, you horrid little freak!” Snape snarled at her. Jade had to admit, grudgingly, that all of the fights they’d had as sisters had paid off for Kagumi: she stood directly in the path of Snape’s fury and didn’t flinch one little bit. Instead, she carefully wiped the spittle from her face and stared back into the professor’s eyes, even daring to smile a little.

“Why sir, you act as if you think I’ve done something! It wasn't MY Permanent Sticking Charm...” Mock outrage dripped from her voice. Snape flinched, a tic working furiously under his eye. Without a word, he looked at the class and barked, “Keep working!” as he dragged (Literally) Kagumi from the dungeon and into the hall, where he slammed the door so hard that the pane of glass shattered.

Hallway

“How dare you?!” he growled.

“How dare I what, Snivelly?” Kagumi asked in a bored tone. He swooped at her with clawed hands working feverishly, as though they itched to wrap themselves around her throat.

“That is the LAST time you make me look a fool in front of those kids! The LAST TIME!” he roared at her.

“Actually, if you’ll notice…I didn’t make you look a fool; you did that quite effectively yourself. I asked a simple question…” In the back of her mind, her mother’s voice reminded her not to provoke a dragon that doesn’t like you unless you’re sure you have the upper hand; in acknowledgment, Kagumi toned her impudence down a tad.

“And what if I refuse to keep making that potion for you? You know…the one that conceals your, ah…secrets?”

“You wouldn’t dare…” Kagumi breathed. “In fact, that’s one of your only redemptions. Besides, it’s Dumbledore’s orders…you don’t dare disobey. His wrath is far worse than the Dork Lord’s.”

“Ah, but if I did? What then, would your little jokes and taunts be worth?”

“They’d be worth the same amount…it would just be your stinking hide that would be worth less. You have no upper hand here, Snivellus. And well you know it. You’re nothing but a turncoat…and no one knows your true colors. And until you prove to me, that you’re loyal to the light…I will never trust you. EVER. And until that day, you’ll not stop making my potions…Wanna know why?”

“And why is that?” Snape drawled.

“Curiosity…you’re going to want it…A chance to redeem yourself, to be admired instead of feared…and gain the rewards that follow. You won’t be able to resist…”

“And you want to know what I’ve seen for your future? Bleakness. Darkness. You’ll be darker than I ever was…The Dark Lord has many plans for you, Falcon. Even now, you feel it. The longing to be free, to fly the skies with freedom and do whatever you please to those beneath you. Even now, you can barely keep yourself from the battlefield. You long to feel your opponent’s blood flow between your fingers as you sink your blade into him - -”

“YOU LIE!” Kagumi slammed Snape against the wall with one hand, her wand appearing in her other. Her chest heaved as she gasped for breath, and the door blew open as Jade, Harry, Hermione, Ron and Draco all rushed out. Upon taking in the sight, four mouths dropped open and one thinned as the owner’s face paled.

Kagumi's hand released his robes and Snape slid to the floor. With a wicked smile and a whispered, “See?” at her, he straightened his robes and swept back into the classroom as Kagumi sank to the floor with tears in her eyes. One hand rested on her stomach, the other aimlessly tucked her wand back into her cloak. Jade ushered the others back into the dungeon and then sat beside Kagumi, one arm around her.

“My gods…What’s become of me, sis?”

“I dunno, sweetie…” Jade whispered. “Wanna talk?”

“He…told me what Voldemort’s plans were…for us. I’m…I’m afraid. I’m…I’m losing my grip…” With those last words, Kagumi Falcon sank to the floor in a dead faint and Jade began to panic. She called for Harry and Draco to run Kagumi up to the hospital wing and she walked back into the room, dragging Snape behind her by one of the locks of his greasy hair. She was determined to get some information…

By the way, Gaians, I disclaim that little conversation at the end with Kagumi and Snape: it was directly influenced by corresponding lines from Pirates of the Caribbean II: Dead Man’s Chest.

Feb. 15, 12:02pm, Great Hall

Jade hadn't been seen since Potions, and Gumi, after recovering from her mild fainting spell was sitting with Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco in the Great Hall, worried.

"Where could she be?", Hermione asked. "I checked up in the dorms in between classes and I didn't see her in there."

"Gumi?", Ron asked. "Do you know where she might be?"

"I got no clue", Gumi said simply. "I could normally just tap into her, because we share a similar brain wave length, but I tried, and.... nothing."

"So, now what?", Draco asked, propping his head up from the table with his arms.

"I don't know", Gumi and Harry chorused at the same time.

Feb. 15, 4:45pm, Gryffindor Common Room

Jade finally showed up after classes that night, catching most everyone in the Gryffindor common room by surprise when she jumped in through the open window, blood splattering her clothes which were torn and cut in places and there were even signs that she had been burned. Her left arm hung limp at her side, a sure sign that it was dislocated, her hair was very messy and she definitely looked like she had been in a fight.

"Holy Jeez!", Ron exclaimed, seeing Jade crouched, cat-like on the window sill. "What the bloody hell happened to you?"

"Where the heck were you, Jadalycya?!", Gumi shouted. "I've been worried about you all day."

"Well, hello to you too, Kagumi", Jade said with a hint of aggravation.

"Oh, don't you give me that, girly", Gumi said, crossing her arms. "Where, were, you?"

"You know", Jade began getting down from the sill and walking right over, getting into Gumi's face. "I've just gotten a whole bunch of info from people that I wouldn't touch with a mile high building, all because I don't want anything to happen to you", she continued, her voice taking the tone of that of a disgruntled ghost. Jade's eyes were now glowing orange, which wasn't good, at all. She continued to stare, unblinking at Gumi. "I'm tired, I'm dirty, I stink, I'm ticked off to beyond my limit and I'm sure that I have human parts in places that they shouldn't be. Now, for the sake of your own body, shut up."

She turned on her heels and walked out of the portrait hole, down to the Prefect's Bathroom.

Prefect's Bathroom

Jade was standing, fully clothed under the shower in the bathroom. Her forehead was pressed against the tile wall, which felt cool on her skin. Her eyes were shut, as she was going through what she had just done, in her mind.

---FLASHBACK---

Feb. 15, 10:00am, Dungeon 53

"What does he want with us?", Jade said, jerking Snape's head back, so that his face was parallel to the ceiling.

"I swear, I don't know", Snape said, with a hint of pain in his voice. "I don't know, I just know that he plans to use you and your sister for a plan he's made."

Jade never loosened her tight grip that she had on hair. "What, was the plan?"

"I don't know", Snape answered. "All I know is that he refers to it as 'Project Destiny'."

"You mean like the 'Project Destiny' that the Department Of Mysteries was working on?", Jade asked.

"I'm not sure, but I think he said it was something similar", Snape said.

Jade's eyes flashed red, and in a swift move, she jabbed Snape hard in his upper back, in between his fourth and fifth vertebrae, rendering him unconscious. She stormed our of the dungeon, up the stairs, across the Entrance Hall and out of the front doors. Enlarging her flying bike, she revved the engine angrily then took off in a dust of fury.

Empty Warehouse

Jade had three of Voldemort's Death Eaters strapped in magic manacles, and she had been interrogating them for the better part of three hours. She had tricked them into following her so that she could get them to tell her what she wanted to know, and after took them all on and had gotten mildly injured in the process, she got them to where she wanted them. After a bit more torture/interrogation, Nott, one of the Death Eaters that she had captured, cracked under the pain of the cuts Jade had been placing on him, making them not too deep, but enough to cause pain.

"Alright!", he shouted. "I'll talk, just no more, please."

"Ok, filth", Jade said, turning his hanging body, that was suspended in the air magically, to face her. "Spill."

One hour later, Mulciber cracked, and then, Carrows too, had enough torture and began to spill information. As soon as they had all finished telling all that they knew, she magically extended her nails so that they were longer and sharper than normal and in a flurry of spraying blood, she had slaughtered each of them.

---END FLASHBACK---

Feb. 15, 5:00pm, Prefect's Bathroom

Jade slid down to the floor of the still running shower and, bringing her knees up to her chest, she began to sob quietly. The blood that had splattered on her was washing away down the drain, but the reality that had set into her brain, that she had just killed three men, wasn't washing away with it. It wasn't until she didn't show up for rehearsal that night that anybody found her. Hermione walked into the shower room and shut off the water. Jade was still sobbing quietly, holding her knees to her chest, and she was rocking back and forth, slightly.

"Jade?", Hermione whispered, gently laying her hand on her shoulder. "What's wrong?"

"I killed them", she whispered, through sobs. "With no thoughts in my head, I killed them. They were tied up, they couldn't defend themselves at all, and I.... killed them."

She let out a loud cry as she flung her arms around Hermione and continued crying into her robes. Gumi, who had entered the room, stood, in shock behind the privacy wall just inside the door. Jade, had killed people. She quietly slipped back out of the door and seated herself on the bench along the wall as Harry came in.

"Did you find her yet?", Harry asked.

Gumi nodded and pointed to the door of the bathroom, but continued to stare blankly ahead.

"What?", he asked, sitting down next to her. "What is it?"

"Jade..... she...... she...... she said she.....", Gumi trickled out softly.

"She said what?", he asked again.

"She said she..... killed people", Gumi said in the same way.

Harry blinked. He was as stunned as Gumi was when she heard. It was almost three minutes before Harry spoke.

"Is she still in there?", Harry asked, pointing to the door to the bathroom.

"Yes", Gumi said in barely a whisper.

Harry got up and walked into the bathroom and found Jade still crying, though not as hard as before, into Hermione's robes. Hermione looked up to see him standing just outside the shower room.

"Hello", she said, with a soft voice.

"Hi", he whispered, stepping into the shower room, and kneeling down next to Jade. "Jadie? Sweetie? You ok?"

Jade let go of Hermione and turned to face Harry. Her face was now pink and puffy from her crying and her eyes were an morning sky blue color. "How am I supposed to be ok?", she asked, wiping her tears on her soaking sleeve. "I- I- I-"

"Hey, shh", he said softly, pulling Jade into a hug as Hermione go up and went to wait outside. "It's ok, it's ok."

"No, it's not ok", Jade said, pulling away and stopping crying. "I've killed three men like they were less then nothing. I'm now a murderer. How can I-?"

"Shh", Harry said, putting a finger on her lips. "You're not a murderer. You were doing what needed to be done, to protect yourself, Gumi and who knows how many others that might have been killed by their hands."

"But I- I just slashed them, like they didn't matter", she said, starting to cry again.

"I'm not saying they don't matter", Harry said, pulling her back into his embrace. "But what matters most right now is that you're back, and you're safe. Now, come on."

Harry stood up, straightened out his robes a bit, then picked Jade up in his arms and carried her up to Gryffindor Tower, where he put her in his own bed, so that she could sleep.

Great Hall

Harry entered the Great Hall, grabbed his script, even though he didn't need it, and went back to working on setting the set for the protest scene. There were lots of extras there to simulate the turnout of the protest, all of them Gryffindor, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuff fifth, sixth and seventh years.

"Alright, from the top everyone", Dumbledore said and everyone got to where they knew they had to be. The music started up and the extras cheered loudly as Hermione came riding on set on a motorbike.

Feb. 16, 1:09am, Gryffindor Tower, Boys' Dorm

Harry went up to his dorm first before Ron, Neville, Dean and Seamus. The hangings around his bed were drawn, and all that could be seen was Jade's left arm, hanging off the side of his bed. As he drew back the hangings a bit, he saw her, laying on her stomach, asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he lifted her arm, which, as he looked at her shoulder, was back in place, because it wasn't bulging out at an odd angle, and placed it back on the bed, re-drew the hangings and left, closing the door quietly. Just as he turned around, he came face to face, with Gumi.

"Harry", she said, looking at him dead in the eye. "Can you take a walk with me"

He looked a bit apprehensive at first, but then agreed. "Alright."

Room Of Requirement

Gumi led Harry down to the Room of Requirement, where, when they were both inside, she closed and locked the door.

"Why'd you lock the door?", he asked, with a small gulp.

"Well, we really don't want to be interrupted now, do we?", she answered.

"What would we be doing, that we don't want to be interrupted?", Harry asked, now getting nervous.

"Why don't you just take a wild guess, big boy", Gumi replied, taking off her cloak and walking slowly towards him, with a seductive smirk on her face. "Now, let's see how much you love Jade."

---FLASHBACK---

Feb. 10, 9:00pm, Great Hall, Rent Sets

Gumi was sitting down at the table, working on painting a picture as a prop for the apartment set when she looked over at Jade, who was putting something away on the same set as Harry, who was on the opposite side of the set from Jade, and looked to be flirting with Lavender, because he kept touching her hair.

Feb. 12, 12:00am, Great Hall, Rent Sets

In the scene where Angel comes in and dances in Roger's and Mark's apartment, Gumi kept watching Harry, who more than once, looked like he was trying to look up Lavender's dress.

Feb. 14, 8:15pm, Great Hall, Valentine's Party

Gumi, Jade, Hermione and the others applauded as Lavender took the stage to sing after Padma Patil in the Valentine's Day Party.

"Step by step
Heart to heart
left right left
we all fall down
like Toy Soldiers
bit by bit
torn apart
we never win
but the battle
rages on
for Toy Soldiers", Lavender sang, hitting every note.

Gumi took a drink of her soda and when she looked around at the others, she caught sight of Harry, who, by her way of thinking, was watching Lavender a bit more intently than normal, then when Jade went up to sing her solo, she saw that Harry wasn't paying much attention to her at all.

---END FLASHBACK---

Harry got even more nervous and took a few steps back. "HISS!"

Harry jumped. "Ok, I'm scared now."

"Aww, poor baby", Gumi said with a slight laugh. In a swift move, Gumi had knocked Harry to the ground and she was kneeling on all fours on top of him. She lowered her face to his, but before their lips touched, Harry moved his face. She tried again, but once again, he moved his face. "What?"

"Stop it", he said, but Gumi just gave a smirk and tried to kiss him again. "I said, stop it, Gumi." He pushed her off of him and stood up. "I'm not like that."

"Like what?", she asked, wrapping her arm around his leg and looking up at him with pouty eyes.

"I don't go for the sister of my girlfriend", he replied, his voice going sour as he knelt down. "I think you're a beautiful, intelligent and very, very, convincing." Harry smirked and chuckled as he helped Gumi up to her feet. "You know, for a minute there you actually had me."

"Ok, where did I mess up?", Gumi asked, putting her hands on her hips.

"You moved way too slow when you tried to kiss me", he said truthfully. "You might wanna work on that the next time she gets a boyfriend."

"Well, I'm hoping that there isn't a next one", Gumi said. "I've gotten kinda fond of you, dude."

"I think, given the current circumstance, I'll take that as a compliment", Harry said with a smile. "Come on, let's go to bed."

"Lead the way, O great Potter", Gumi said sarcastically, giving a very low bow.

On the way back to Gryffindor Tower.

"So?", Harry asked, looking sideways at Gumi. "Did I past the test?"

"Yeah, you did", she admitted.

"Just one question", he said. "Why did you think I needed to be tested in the first place?"

Feb. 16, 1:09am, Seventh Floor Hallway

Kagumi sighed, her mood obviously turning sour. She looked at the floor, absently watching the swirls of dust that she was inadvertently causing. Shrugging, she sat down with her back to the wall and motioned for Harry to sit next to her. She spoke without ever really looking at him.

“Honestly Harry, I was afraid. Neither of us has ever really had a real boyfriend before, other than the regular crush, or a peck on the cheek. And then I saw you paying more attention to other girls, more than Jade…and I…Well, I didn’t want to let her have her heart broken. So…I tested you. I didn’t even know that…Well, that having someone was even like this. It’s all so scary.”

“What on earth do you mean?” Harry asked. As soon as the words were out of his mouth, though, he could have kicked himself. It was so easy to forget that at the beginning of this year, he and Draco were still enemies; that neither of them knew the girls; that the girls were really eleven years old, no matter how much they looked older.

Kagumi gave him a glare. He gulped slightly, a pink tinge coloring his cheeks. Suddenly, The Boy Who Lived was inexplicably ashamed, his eyes refusing to meet hers. She laid a hand on his shoulder, a hand that should have been much smaller and far less scarred; with her other hand, she grasped his chin and forced him to look at her.

“It’s alright, Harry. So many people have forgotten…It’s not hard to forget. And there’s no point in going back…Jade and I have both come to terms with the fact that we’re sixteen now, and not eleven. There’s nothing wrong with forgetting, so don’t beat yourself up over it. I’m sure Voldemort will do that for you.” She smirked and shoved him playfully. Without a previous warning, Harry toppled over, his glasses being smooshed against the side of his face. His off-kilter field of vision reported Kagumi running towards the tapestry that would lead to a secret passage the came out almost right at Gryffindor Tower.

With a grunt and a rush of dizziness, Harry stood and righted his glasses before running after her. He caught up with her about halfway, tackling her to the floor and tickling her mercilessly. The Fat Lady’s portrait swung open, and out fell Draco Malfoy, laughing and clutching the Marauder’s Map, which (if one looked closely enough) showed a miniature of the fight taking place in the hall.

Kagumi shot up, grabbed her wand, and hit Harry dead in the face with a powerful Tickling Charm, and then did the same to Draco. Soon, Hermione had joined the fray, her face wonderfully pink. Jade jumped in, catching everyone with a low-power, but wide-scale Mass Tickling Charm. Ron stared, dumbfounded, at the scene unfolding, which even Dumbledore was sitting on a banister watching. McGonagall made several attempts to stop the battle, but either the Headmaster or (to everyone’s shock) Severus Snape stopped her. Many in Gryffindor Tower, drawn by the inevitable noise, were taking bets, and someone had even fire-called Fred and George Weasley, and they were collecting money from the new Wizarding Cameras (“No more special Potions to develop your pictures in!”) they were selling.

Finally, Hermione emerged, with her ears smoking and her hair completely mussed. Not even paying attention to the rest of the people, she and Kagumi teamed up and levitated all of the participants into the Tower, to many disappointed groans. They made a little camp on the balcony across from the fire and sprawled out comfortably.

Jade broke the comfortable silence first. “That was…fun. I think we all needed that.”

“Jadie, I know…I know that what you did, you did for us. Because it’s a war. And people do things in war that they normally wouldn’t do. Even the most unlikely of people will pick up a wand or a gun if their loved ones are threatened. So…If it still counts, I forgive you. Nothing is black and white, and most of those men had families and such. But right now, right at this moment, we are safer because of what you gave for us.”

Jade sniffled sleepily, and nodded. “I know. That’s why I’m glad about what happened a few minutes ago, even though it’s the middle of the night and we probably woke up the entire school. Thanks Gumi…We really did need that.” Kagumi hugged her sister once, hard and then let go, stepping back; she wore an evil smile. Harry and Kagumi looked at each other and nodded, each hitting her with another Tickling Charm, which caused the entire fight to start again, though at least Hermione had enough sense to put up a Silencer Barrier around the balcony.

Feb. 16, 10:02 am, Great Hall

Kagumi's long hair yanked once again in Draco's hand, as she pitched forward towards her bowl of cream of wheat, fast asleep. The Tickle fight had lasted until around five in the morning, which was relatively bad, as all six of the participants had classes that morning. Harry was snoring slightly, with a half gone piece of bacon still hanging out of his mouth. Ron was sleeping shamelessly with his head on his arms, not noticing that Hedwig, Pig, and Hermes were all stealing his cornflakes. Jade was still awake, staring into the marmalade saucers as though it were a Pensieve. Hermione was blinking tiredly, absently stirring her orange juice with a butter knife instead of a spoon. And I’m…Holding my girlfriend’s hair so that she doesn’t drown in hot cereal…

Thankfully, the first class of the day was History of Magic, which they could all sleep in while Kagumi charmed a Quick Quotes Quill to record everything Binns said.

Feb. 16, 11:58 am, Third Floor Classroom, Dreamworld

Kagumi was standing in a misty field, watching a woman in a black gown, which revealed far too much of her alluring body. A scarlet cloak fluttered out behind her, and she could clearly see the outlines of what looked to be gravestones in the distance. A figure in a billowing black robe stalked around her in a circle, suddenly gesturing every now and then.

“Who are you?” the stalker asked in a cold, high-pitched voice.

“I am Shadow; I am the Night. I am Invincible…” Kagumi watched the woman’s lips move, and vaguely recognized the icy voice coming from her blood red lips. Inside, she felt a shiver of terror, in contrast to the cloaked woman; she was unnaturally still for a human being.

“And what is your purpose?” the figure spoke again, his voice giving her severe chills.

“I am your weapon, forged in blood, fires and the tears of my victims. I am tempered Magic in it’s purest form, the closest to a God that will ever live,” she replied easily, not hiding the sneer in her voice.

There was a sharp slap, and the woman took no heed to the stinging pain of her bloodied cheek; the man’s white hand came away with flesh still embedded under his long black nails. As Kagumi watched, from an objective perspective like a film viewer’s, the deep gashes on the woman’s face healed quickly.

“Wrong! You are my weapon; I am the God!” The man’s voice sounded almost comically pouty, if it wasn’t for the long wand now pointed directly between the woman’s hooded eyes.

Kagumi watched the woman scoff, not afraid in the least, merely annoyed. “You toy with power you don’t understand, Riddle. You will never have power equivalent to mine, for mine is the combined power of the Ancient Egyptian Gods. You will never be greater than me…”

Kagumi felt a chill, for she was positive who was under that robe. The murderer of Harry’s parents, the person responsible for her own disrupted life. Lord Voldemort… The snarl died in her mental throat as the woman in the cloak knelt before Voldemort. He put his long white hands to her throat, caressing the alabaster flesh there. The woman shivered at his touch, and her full lips opened slightly. If a smirk could be heard, then Kagumi was positive that Voldemort was practically gloating. He pulled down his own hood, revealing that snake-like face that Kagumi had come to hate with an intensity that frightened her.

Voldemort bent down, kissing those full red lips with his own. The woman let out a small sigh, and twined her arms around his white neck. As Kagumi watched, quite horrified, the woman’s hood was thrown back, revealing a face that Kagumi was quite familiar with: her own.

Feb. 16, 11:59 am, Third Floor Classroom

A shrill scream woke Jade from her stupor, and knocked Harry and Draco to the floor. Kagumi writhed on the desk she has been laying her head on, sweating profusely; it was from her that the screams had been coming. Thankfully, as Jade looked around, the classroom was empty; everyone had been dismissed early for lunch.

Kagumi sobbed as her eyes snapped open, her hand already reaching for her wand. The curtains in the room turned to ash as Kagumi twisted back and forth, looking around in a panic. Jade put her hands on her sister’s shoulders, forcing her to calm down. Jade projected a sense of calm into her sister, who slumped over, dazed.

Feb. 16, 12:04 am, Gryffindor Tower, Boys Dorm

Kagumi lay on a bed, her eyes suspiciously glazed. Jade, Hermione and the boys were sitting around the bed in a very Exorcist fashion. But Kagumi's head wasn’t spinning, nor was she projectile-vomiting green sickness. Harry felt that he might be a little less nervous if she was, because the unnatural stillness was freaking him out. Savean paced the room, prowling like a caged animal. Every once in a while, his eyes would flicker to Kagumi, and then he’d resume pacing.

“She saw something in her dreams that has frightened her so much that she either can’t or won’t come out. Someone will need to go in there and retrieve her. And it has to be someone she trusts…” Jade was addressing all of them. The boys looked at each other uneasily; mind-linking didn’t sound like a good idea to them. Hermione looked interested, but still worried; her two sides were conflicting, bookworm vs. friend.

“I can create a link, but I have to withdraw almost immediately. There’s something in there she doesn’t want me to see; the same goes for Harry. That’s the only two of us who can’t go. But the rest of you will have to work together. I’ll be here to monitor the link, and keep it from breaking; Harry will be here to help me and make sure I’m safe.

One more thing…I don’t know what she saw. I don’t know if it’s dangerous or not. But if it is…Please come back alright.” With that simple, yet heartfelt warning, Jade pressed two fingers to Kagumi's forehead, and said, “Expositus”, effectively opening a link for the four occupants who wished to go through.

"I'm not so sure I wanna do this", Hermione said. "I mean, what is gonna happen if we get into, well, her brain, and we won't know what to do or where to go?"

Jade took her hand off Gumi's head, got up, walked over to Hermione and put her hands on her shoulders, "Hermione, calm down. Nothing bad is gonna happen, this is not as complicated as it seems."

"How so?", she asked.

"All you have to do is go in there, find her and bring her back to where you came in", Jade said.

"That's it?", she asked again, as Jade took her hands away.

"That's it, well, more or less", Jade replied. "Now, are you guys ready to do this?"

The others nodded and Ron raised his hand. "Um, quick question: are our whole bodies gonna go in there or-"

"It's just your consciousness that goes in", Jade said, sitting back down next to Gumi. "Your bodies will just go limp and stay here. That's why we have chairs."

"Ok", Ron said.

"Ready?", Jade asked again.

"Yes", the others replied sitting in their chairs.

"Alright, get to gettin'", Jade said putting her hand back on Gumi's forehead.

There was a rush of wind, a bright light, and when it stopped, Hermione's, Ron's, Draco's and Savean's bodies hung limp in the chairs.

Gumi's Inner Mind

They fell, down, down and down until.... SPLASH! They, landed in a big indoor pool. One by one, they came up, spitting, sputtering and coughing.

"Everyone ok?", Hermione asked.

"I'm fine", Draco said.

"I'm alive aren't I?", Ron replied.

"AH! The sun!", Savean yelled trying to get out of the sunlight that was coming in from the open skylight in the roof. "Get it away! Agh, I'm dying!"

"Sav, you're not dying", Hermione said in an annoyed tone. "The sun isn't real."

Savean opened his eyes and saw that he was, in fact, not burning up. "Oh, I knew that", he said, giving a sheepish little chuckle.

"Come on", Draco piped up. "Let's get out of here."

They all climbed out of the pool, magically dried off their clothes and opened the door of the room only to see that it opened up into the main part of a six level elaborate mansion.

"Dang!", Savean exclaimed. "Since when did we enter the prize house of The Prosperous Billionaires?"

"What do we do now?", Draco asked.

"We go and find Gumi", Hermione said.

"And where do you propose that we start looking?", Ron asked.

Before Hermione could answer, from out of nowhere, a large piece or paper came from out of thin air and plastered itself to Hermione's face. She peeled it off her face to see that it was a map of the mansion and at the bottom there were two red dots, labeled Hermione and Ron, one green one labeled, Draco and a dark gray one labeled Savean. As they looked around the map, they saw, at the top of the map, on the top floor, a red/orange/yellow dot, labeled, Gumi.

"Ok, now we know where she is, let's go get her and get out of here", Draco said, starting to head up the stairs to the next floor.

"Hold on", Hermione said. "We can't just trek up there and get her and be done."

"Why not?", Draco asked.

"I remember overhearing one of Jade's and Gumi's conversations, before the whole Dragonrider thing started", Hermione started.

---FLASHBACK---

Dec. 7, 7:45pm, Seventh Floor Corridor

Hermione was just returning from the library and stopped at the bottom of the stairs that led to the seventh floor, because she saw Jade and Gumi arguing at the top of the stairs.

"Gumi, I've told you, I've told you time and time again, don't keep so much in there", Jade said, using her hand in a pointed manner. "It crowds your head and that isn't good."

"So what if I have a lot of inner defenses", Gumi said, crossing her arms. "And why are you getting on me about this anyway? You're brain has more defenses than mine."

"I have one, one more obstacle than yours", Jade said. "But I've had more experience than you with keeping things in line, in my head. I've been in your head and it looks like our old shed in there."

There was a small pause that was broken by Gumi giving a sigh.

"Fine, what do you want me to do?", Gumi asked, hesitantly excepting defeat in the argument.

"I don't want you to get rid of anything, just, kinda re-organize it so that it's not all in one spot on one floor", Jade said in an explanatory tone. "It'll give anyone who tries to get in your head a definite run for there sane mind."

They linked arms and began to walk away. "You're goofy", Gumi said.

"I know, but it's my job", Jade said.

---END FLASHBACK---

"So Gumi has defenses that we have to get past?", Ron asked.

"Yup", Hermione answered. "And if they are anything like how she and Jade were or are when they get into fight mode, we'll really, really have to stay on our toes, and be ready for anything."

"Can't we just go back and let Jade handle this?", Ron asked.

"You heard her", Savean said. "Gumi has stuff in here that she doesn't want Jade or Harry to see, so therefore, we have to do this."

"Ok!", Ron said said, putting his hands up. "I get it. So where to do we start?"

"I say we just take it one step at a time", Hermione said. "Start at the bottom and work our way up."

"Alright", Draco said. "Let's go. As much as I love Gumi, being inside her brain is some place I don't really think I wanna stay for a long time."

As they headed up the stairs to the first floor, Ron stepped on a picture that was laying on the floor, but when he picked it up off the floor and looked at it, he quickly stuffed it in his pocket and continued up the stairs after the others.

Floor after floor, room after room, Hermione, Ron, Draco and Savean faced every defense in Gumi's mind, some they could beat with magic and some they couldn't. This happened first on one of the defenses they encountered on the fourth floor.

"Get it, Draco!", Ron yelled, pulling Hermione out of danger behind a large pillar.

"Stupify!", Draco shouted at the creepy four legged tiger/spider/cockroach thing they had to face, but nothing happened. He tried again, "Stupify! Why can't we use magic all of a sudden?!", Draco shouted as he ducked a bow from the creature.

"It's gotta be Gumi", Hermione said. "Either she's found us by us using our magic so much, or she's made some of her defenses so that you can't beat them by magic."

"Well, that's a nice assessment", Draco yelled, jumping backwards as the creature took another wipe at him. "But then how do you expect us to beat this thing?!"

Hermione looked around the room and got an idea that she learned from a movie once, when she caught sight of the large cast iron chandelier that hung in the middle of the room.

"Sav, when I give the word, grab Draco", Hermione said, starting to climb the wall.

"Why?", he asked.

"Just do it!", she shrieked. "Draco! Lead it into the middle of the room!"

"Why?!", Draco shouted back.

"Don't ask questions, just do it!", she yelled back.

"What am I supposed to do?!", Ron asked, standing under Hermione, who was now traversing a small ledge that she found in the wall.

"Stay out of the way!", she shouted down at him.

"Hey, I could help too, ya'know?!", he yelled up at her.

"You could help Draco lure the beast into the middle of the room!", she shouted.

Ron's eyes got wide. "No thanks, I'll just stay outta the way!"

Hermione jumped onto the the chandelier and prepared to cut the very thick rope that was holding it up. When she saw that the beast was directly under her, she yelled at Savean, who jolted forward and tackled Draco out of the way as Hermione cut the rope with one swipe of the very sharp knife that Jade had given her for protection, and with a loud crash, the very large, heavy chandelier fell down, impaling and inevitably killing the monster.

"Whoo-hoo!", Ron yelled, running over to help Hermione down off the now dead creature as she came down along with the chandelier. "Yeah! We won! Score for the humans!"

"Hey!", Savean shouted as he ran towards the door.

The others followed him as he ran up to the top floor, and looked to be chasing....

"Jade, stop!", Savean yelled out.

"You people are so pathetic", Jade said, stopping in front of a large stained glass window that ran from the floor to the ceiling. "Humans, huh, the worst of nature's creations, good thing I never was one."

"Nor me to be sure", came a voice behind them, and as they turned, they found Harry.

"Harry, what are you doing here?", Ron asked. "What is going on here?"

"And they wonder why we, the superior ones, have never and will never stoop to become one of them", Harry said, looking at Jade, who was smirking mischievously.

Then, without another word, look or gesture to the others, they turned and walked right through the window, like a ghost. They stood stunned until they saw Jade's and Harry's figures move backwards, almost like a movie on rewind and then do it again.

"Wha- bu- who- could- how-", Draco stuttered.

"What the bloody hell just happened?", Ron asked.

"That wasn't really Jade and Harry", Hermione explained. "It was an illusion. A lingering memory in Gumi's mind."

"But they never said that to us", Draco said. "Or to anyone else, that we know of."

"They didn't", Hermione continued. "It's because they didn't really say it in real life. It's most likely a fragment, from one of Gumi's dreams, or something that has manifested in her subconscious."

"Ok, so nothing in here is real?", Savean asked, looking around.

"No", Hermione said. "It is real, to her. To Gumi, well, to Gumi's subconscious, and because we are in her subconscious, it's real to us too."

Just then, Ron pulled the picture from his pocket that he found on the floor.

"Ron? What is it?", Savean asked.

"I, you, you said that stuff that she sees, and her memories, they are stored in here", Ron said.

"More or less, yeah", Hermione replied. "Why?"

"Because, I- I- I- found this, just after we got here", Ron said, holding out the picture for them to see.

"Is- is this real?", Hermione asked, taking the picture. "I mean, for real, real?"

"I don't know, but if it's a memory, then it has to be, right?", Ron asked.

Draco walked over and looked at the picture, "Ok, if Harry ever sees this picture, the sparks are gonna fly, you know that, right?"

"Which means he can't find it", Savean said, taking the picture from Hermione and putting it in his pocket. "Ever. Alright? It doesn't exsist. Now, let's finish what we came here to do and worry about the "unmentionable" later."

"I'm with you, dude", Ron said.

"Come on-", Draco started, but was cut off.

"AHH!"

"That's Gumi", Draco said, running over to where the scream had came from and bursting down the door.

"AHH!!", Gumi screamed, fighting back at, none other than Voldemort.

"Heh heh, you can't fight me", Voldemort said in his menacing voice that sent chills through a corpse.

"No!", Gumi screamed again, still fighting to get out of his clutches. "Get away from me! No!"

"Hey!", Draco, Ron, Savean and Hermione all shouted at the same time, making Voldemort pause and look up at them.

"Get your hands off my girlfriend!", Draco shouted, rolling up his sleeves.

"Draco!", Gumi yelled, trying to get at him and the others, but Voldemort just shoved her onto the bed that was in the room, hard enough to knock her out.

"Oh, that's it", he said. "In the words of Jade and Gumi: "It's on now"."

Voldemort took out his wand, but when he went to use it, the only thing that came out of the end of his wand was a burst a steam. Draco took the upper hand while he was off guard to tackle him to the ground and punch him repeatedly in the face, stomach and other places as well. Once Draco knew that he had beaten him unconscious, he picked up Gumi from the bed, and they all ran down all six flights of stairs, down to the pool room.

"So what do we do now?", Ron asked. "How do we get back?"

Just as Ron asked his question, the water in the pool began to spin around and around really fast, like a whirlpool.

"Oh, yeah, cannonball!", Savean said, stepping back then running at full speed into the pool.

Hermione and Ron both held each other's hands as they dove in and Draco, making sure that he had a secure grip on Gumi, took one last look around before jumping off in the pool.

Feb. 16, 1:15am, Gryffindor Boys' Dorm

Ron, Hermione, Draco, Savean and Gumi all jolted up, coughing, sputtering and wet.

"Wha- wha?", Gumi tried to speak, but just looked at Jade, who was still sitting next to her on the bed.

"Welcome back, stranger", Jade said, with a smile, giving Gumi and tight hug.

Feb. 16, 1:16am, Gryffindor Boys' Dorm

Kagumi sprang from her sister’s arms, with a look of extreme fear on her face. She curled up on the furthest bed from the group, and wouldn’t even let Draco get near her. Apparently, she was trying to go back into her own mind, after a few minutes of hard thinking. Harry and Draco wandered near her, and Draco tried to curl up with her.

“LEAVE ME ALONE!” she screamed, and ran for the door, clawing at the lock, trying to get it open. Finally, after a few minutes, Jade said, “You won’t get through. All of my most complex locks are on that door. Just give it up and calm down, sis.”

In response, the door burst into splinters, and Kagumi ran from the room, screaming at the top of her lungs that her world was ending. Draco gave the splintered door a strange look, and Jade ran after the trail of ash her sister had left. Harry gave a heavy sigh, and he, along with the rest of the group, set out after the two sisters.

Feb. 16, 1:25 am, Top Floor of Hogwarts

Kagumi sat shivering the cold night air, breathing only rarely. Her eyes were vacant, and her skin clammy to the touch. Draco stood near the Owlery door, quite clearly remembering the last time both of them were here together. Funny…She was running from her emotions that time too… He walked forward, knowing that none of the others had caught up; none of the others really knew where to look. His foot stepped on the skeleton of some poor mouse while he wasn’t paying much attention, and her ears twitched.

“Take one more step, and I will hex you into next year,” she growled. Somehow, he believed that she could do that. He stood still, but spoke plaintively.

“Gumi, we need you…”

“You need nothing, Draco, except to forget my face and my voice and to move on. You don’t need the problems that being with a Falcon can bring you.” The vehemence in her voice nearly caused Draco to step back, and he froze as her words chilled him to the bone.

“What problems?” He asked, feeling rather stupid. I’m desperate enough to act a fool, if it means that I can keep her sane for just a moment or two longer, he thought.

Gumi whirled around on the ledge to face him, fury, confusion and longing etched all over her face. “Being a Goddess’ child wasn’t enough for you? Being a DragonRider wasn’t enough for you? Seeing that I have changed every freakin’ aspect about your life and your very soul isn’t enough for you?! What do I have to do to make you see, Malfoy? I…Want…Out!” And with that, Kagumi Falcon stepped backwards, falling almost peacefully from the eleven-story Owlery.

“Kagumi!” Draco shouted, watching as the woman he loved grew smaller and smaller.

Suddenly, there was a great rush of wings and Laen literally tossed Kagumi in through the window. Kagumi took a deep breath, and then lay still, not moving and barely breathing. Draco hurried over to her, picking her up and beginning the long trek down to the Hospital Wing.

Feb. 16, 2:12 am, Hospital Wing

“She’s still jerking around,” murmured a soft voice, full of concern.

“I know, Love. I know. She’ll pull through,” said another, deeper, voice, this one male.

“I - - Can’t - - Hold her!” gasped one, though Kagumi couldn’t quite understand what he was panting for: she was the one who couldn’t move at all.

“Then sit on her, you scrawny bird!” yelled an older woman’s voice, and it was the panic in the woman’s voice that caused Kagumi to wrench her eyes open at last. The large, pale hands holding down her arms (Which seemed to be moving of their own accord) and the large pillow her face was currently being shoved into restricted her view, and Kagumi gave a wheezing gasp.

“There, that ought to have done it,” the older voice called, and the hands removed themselves. The flailing of Kagumi's arms slowed considerably, and exactly two minutes later, gave one last shudder before finally hanging limp. The base of Kagumi's spine felt oddly warm, and it wasn’t until her magical knowledge kicked in that she realized that Madame Pomfrey had most probably used a basic Spine Soother Charm in order to calm the over-excited nerves in her back. But why would my nerves be so…over-eager? She wondered to herself, before a vague memory of a rapidly shrinking dome flew to the front of her brain.

Screw the nerves, why am I alive? A sudden prickling in the upper shoulders confirmed what she had just thought of: Laen, her Dragon, had saved her life. And that also explains why my nerves are hyper. For indeed, trying to kill herself, she had gotten her body used to the idea that it was dying. In as much, her brain was telling her back that it had to mend itself; but as there was nothing to mend (except for maybe a slipped disc that had resulted from the fall), the nerves were getting hyper-extended trying to find out what was wrong.

“Ugh…” was he first sound out of Kagumi's mouth, but it was a joyous one to the ears of the small mob gathered around her bed: Jade, Harry, Draco, Fred, George, Ginny, Neville, Savean, Madame Pomfrey and Professor Dumbledore himself, who happened to be discreetly wiping his eyes free from the tear of relief that sought to escape his composure. With a guilty sniff, she sat up, not looking at anyone.

“Seems like it’s always me that everyone crowds around in here,” she sniffed.

“Hey, before you came, it was me,” Harry said, shrugging. He hugged the weeping girl once, hard, and then stepped back.

“Okay, guys. I’m fine. I just lost my head a bit, and now I need some sleep,” Kagumi addressed everyone, with a significant look at her Headmaster. Professor Dumbledore stood up, shooing everyone out of the room. Finally, to act as security, he sealed the door with a flick of his wand, and turned back to the girl lying in the bed.

“What is it, Ms. Falcon?” he asked, not unkindly.

“Professor, when I was…well, asleep in class, I had a vision…” And she proceeded to tell Dumbledore about the terrifying vision that she had had, which had almost been enough to end her life. When she was finished with her tale, he sat back and stroked his beard, apparently in deep thought.
