Karma took her hand and used her help to get up. "Oh, it's fine. Fate points us all to places in unusual ways." Karma shook her hand, "My name is Karma. It is wonderful to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too" Alaera politely replied. Fate? The girl had mentioned it twice now but she had no idea what it was.
"Excuse me," she began "but what exactly is fate??"

Karma smiled, "Fate? She's the one who guides us all." It amazed her how many pae didn't know who Fate was. "She leads us to where we belong. Everything that happens is suppossed to happen and Fate is why." Karma smiled hoping that made since to the other girl.
((Karma thinks Fate is the one true guardian, but Fate isn't even a guardian. LOL Was just a fun concept I came up with.))

Alaera thought for a moment before replying. Well that makes sense, I guess. She grinned. "it would certainly explain a lot. Everytime I get clumsy, something exciting and new happens." She rubbed the elbow that had bumped into Karma.
"Although I wish she'd pick a less painful method"

((Just a heads up Karma fulfills wishes, when someone says wish. xp Karma doesn't know it though. ))
"That's the fun in how she works." Karma said with a smile. She heard the word wish and then she looked at Alaera's elbow. "Does it feel better now?" Karma didn't know why but she felt like it would.

Alaera blinked in suprise as her elbow tingled and then felt as good as new. "Actually yeah it does. But how did you know??" She eyed the other girl curiously.

Karma shrugged, "I don't know really." She she figured Fate wouldn't let her stay in pain. "Want to get a drink or something?" They were standing in the middle of a hallway.

"Yeah that sounds good." Her stomache grumbled and Alaera laughed "And maybe some food too!" She start to move over the refreshment table, keeping a careful watch for anymore pae shaped obstacles.

Karma followed Alaera over to the refreshment table and took and apple. "This is a pretty nice place. Hula Bob's is pretty nice too." She had been there once before and it was fun too.

"Hula bob's? Where's that?" Alaera repeated. "I really don't get out that often, mostly just stay in my tree and visit Syl and Sally" she explained. She felt kinda ackward, she wasn't as familar with the island as she thought. Guess you couldn't learn everything from books.

"It's a bar and grill on the beach. Hula Bob is the pae that runs it." Karma said and then took a bite of the apple. "He cooks and there is a dance floor and stuff it's pretty neat."

"Oh! Well that sounds like fun, maybe I will go someday!" 'Better wait until Syl and Amethyst are older though' she thought. 'As often as I get stuck looking after them, I don't think it would be much fun with two toddlers too.'
Her stomache rumbled again and she started looking over the the food. Not seeing her favorite food, her face fell. "I wish they had some strawberries, those are so yummy." She nodded seriously.

The 2007 Winter Formal. Her toddler had somehow caught wind of it, the inquisitive thing she had become, and began to repetitedly insist on going until Seiana caved and said she'd bring the tiny tot. The little girl squealed excitedly as they entered, squeals only growing louder and perhaps even obnoxious as they neared the nursery.
"Alright, Esmée. I'm going to leave you here for the evenings, alright? I'll come pick you up later. Run along and play with the other toddlers now." Well, at least it was a break from the young one. When Esmée had been 'born', or whatever transforming from a plushie to a talking, living being could be called, Seiana didn't realize it'd be such a hassle. If only Esmée'd stop getting into the sugar!
Esmée looked up at her caretaker and nodded. "Otay Mama!," she exclaimed, one of the few things that she could babble clearly. Once her dubbed mother was out of sight, the toddler crawled over to the nearest toy and did what all toddlers did to explore their world; she tried to stick it in her mouth.

Torvil Polgara smiled and gave a little curtsy, bowing her head a little as she blushed. "Thank you Aoaka, you don't look half bad yourself," She chuckled covering her mouth with the back of her hand before she smiled at him.
"Actually you look very handsome this evening," She offered her hand to him tho, and smiled. "Would you like to dance?"

Polgara smiled and leaned down, kissing his cheek before leading him out to the dance floor. "I'll teach," She smiled as she moved to the middle of the dance floor after taking his hands.
She started slowly, and giving Aoaka time to learn the moves of the dance.
