A small but genuine smile could be briefly seen on Anton's face before it faded away, back into his normal expression. "Sounds good. Except for finding a room at the dorms. I asked the person, which said it's for Sophomores only. But there is an Inn off campus. So where we going?" he spoke carefully. This new development might upset Sophia, and he didn't want that. Having friends was what was supposed to happen, and he couldn't make friends if he upset people he reasoned. He looked past, Sophia as something large and brown caught his attention in the distance. More accurately, another young woman, but with wings. So many strange things were around him. Apparently wings were normal?!

She almost jumped out of her skin when two people came right up to her, and the girl started speaking to her. She looked at her warily, not sure what to think when her hair and nails suddenly turned pink. She looked like she was simply being helpful, though. The boy she introduced was a little scarier-looking, though he didn't seem to be holding any sort of ill will right now. She looked up at them, and attempted a shy smile. "Thanks..." She wasn't sure what more to say, so she scurried off to the office that the girl had pointed to. She wasn't sure if she even wanted them to wait, so she figured she'd leave that up to chance, and their discretion.

In the office, they made her fill out some forms, and she tried very hard to do it to the best of her ability, but she hadn't actually written in a very long time, and it was quite a struggle for her to get back into the rhythm. She hoped they could read the first few pages, they weren't much more than chicken scratch. Making her way back out of the office, fully enrolled and holding some papers that told her as much, she found that they really had waited for her. Her eyes widened, and she cleared her throat, preparing to speak in her low, alto voice. "My name is Rae. Do you know much about this place?" She shifted awkwardly, not sure what to think about people who were so comfortable with her appearance.

The jovial female seemed pretty intuitive, at the least. What she said about Rae's wings made her feel a little better, and her smile returned in earnest. Rae would probably disagree with the statement of 'you can never have too many friends,' but she wasn't about to say that aloud. In her opinion, you could very well have too many friends. Even one could be too many... Especially when they leave you, or betray you. Still, she was kind, and Rae didn't want to lose out on the possibility of an ally in this new place. She felt a sense of loss when the girl went running off towards the blonde. She looked back at the giant she was left with, feeling a little intimidated by his size, he had to be around two feet taller than she was. His words were kind though, and put her a little more at ease with him.

Half-demon? ID-K? Rae wasn't sure what those were... "It's alright. You aren't being any more rude than I. I'm... I'm not supposed to exist. I was a human... But I'm not anymore. I'm something else. They messed me up. They hurt me... And destroyed my life. That's what I am. An experiment, a mistake with no life left to go back to." She could hear the bitterness in her voice, and immediately regretted it. She really wasn't doing very well with these new people, was she? "I'm sorry. I'm just... Sensitive about it, I guess." She tried to assume a more businesslike tone, detaching herself from the memories that haunted her in her nightmares. "They experimented on me, combining my body with that of a hawk's." She looked at her feet, feeling guilty both for her words, and for the fact that he now had to deal with the knowledge that she'd imparted. She decided to beat herself up mentally later, punishment for being so foolish.

Victor walked slowly up to the large gate, his dark red eyes widening as he beheld the sheer size of this enormous school. The people inside the gate were like he only would have expected to see in a dream, or in a story. His heart jumped when Laura greeted him cheerfully, smiling. "Thank you," he said, grinning nervously. For a moment he expected her to be shocked when she saw his long, razor-sharp fangs, but then he remembered that she had probably dealt with people looking much more dangerous-looking than himself.

The gate swung open silently after a moment of chatting with Laura, and Victor stepped into his new school.

A few students glanced at him in curiosity for a moment as they walked by. After a second of contemplating, Victor decided that he should first find his way to his dorm to drop off his luggage before getting to know some people. Vaguely he wondered if his abnormality would be a setback for other students to befriend him, but he dismissed the thought instantly. He would have to get used to the fact that he was, more or less, normal here.
