I was just saying that with all these people appointing stars and all these upcoming star events, it will only be a few months ( maybe weeks ) before someone becomes too old for school since every other star is equal to a school year...Isn't it?

I'm not saying that we can't do you idea, I just think that we're gonna have a few bugs to work out if we do. Personally, I enjoy your idea better than what Phoenix has us doing now ( don't tell him I said that ), but he must've had a reason for doing this format. Plus, I havn't seen alot of guilds that work on real time ( and in that respect, I havn't seen many schoolbased RPGs that operate in real time either! ).

Plus, I don't think that your idea is for an EASIER way to get stars, but rather MOTIVATION for inactive members to get more stars and become active again. Or at least, that what I got from it.

A school year in real life? Of course not. We can't start RPing when we're about 8 or 9 and wait 10 full years of our life just to become a Teacher/High Senior for some guild on an online community site. We got a life to live.

Stars are appointed whenever the crew decides that the person deserves to move up a rank with their RPing skills.

Well with all the bugs, I don't see how we can fix it. If we still wanna go with something like this, we might as well go back to the drawing board.

Everyone understands that online community sites can't operate in real time. Hell, I live in Korea and most of you probably live in the states. I really doubt I can stay up midnight while it's the morning for you guys just to RP.

Good point again. But I find it easier and motivational. With how fast the stars are being passed out, I don't know how long it'd take to become a Teacher/High Senior. A year? Maybe two? New ideas require lots of time and thought. That's why I don't really think I can do this by myself on thinking about it.

Tell you what, how about you and I work this out in PMs. If we can really get this going, it'd be helluva lot better for the guild if it was an improvement. If it's good enough, we can get Phoenix's approval as well as the member's approval with a poll or some sort. Now I don't doubt that we can't do this, but this will take lots of time and effort to get it going. Now that all depends on if you're willing to help out on it. I understand if you can't or don't want to, but it might help the guild out that we'd all appreciate.

I'd be happy to.

Suggestion

Dorm Room RPs. I'm not sure what's there to change, but something that would keep it more active. I mean, just look at the amount of posts in them. Empty. Maybe a few here and there that aren't, but for the majority, there's nothing really.

I'll check out the dorms more, but it'd help if I had a dorm of my own.

What about a dorm party or something? One dorm could host a party once a week, and everyone in the hall could check it out.

Concerning dorms, I think assigned roommates would really help to keep them active. That way your character isn't in the dorms by themselves all the time and they have someone they can often talk to. Also, characters usually become bitter enemies or friends with the roommates which then causes a lot more rping since their is automatically a relationship between two characters that may have never met otherwise.

...But since it's already set up without assigned roommates I don't know. I'm just saying.

It would be kind of hard to assign dorms, because we have a lot of people and stuff.

Plus, I'm sure that people would rather dorm with their friends then who I would assign them to be with. ^^;

I still like the party idea....

I like the party idea too XD

Hm.. Well, you could always have people either pick or get assigned roommates, depending on what they want.

Well they can pick their roommates now. As long as both of them have 1 star they can make a dorm thread.

Hey PheePhee,

What's the easiest way to get a star and how soon will the next one be given out?

Well me and Ali give out stars when we see a post that sticks out by either showing great RPing skills, being literate, or that we just like.

We also give out stars to people who follow rules.

But stars can be given away at any time, so I couldn't really say when the new will be given away. But the person who shows the best skill at the current event wins a July letter and a star. 3nodding

Phoenix, you forgot about me. I guess I'm the 'invisible' crew member who is actually more concerned with roleplaying than crew function.

I agree that the star system needs work. I think that the stars should give characters ability to do things, like creating your own off campus threads and stuff. As far as I'm concerned, the grade level will not affect my characters ages, so how can they be a senior when they're only 16?

Another thing, I think the dorms need to be reworked. I don't even use mine, and there are members who haven't even gained a star yet. I don't actually know what to do about it, but I wonder how many people like the idea of dorms.

If members don't use guilds, why don't we replace that thread with classes instead? At least the guild won't have to pay for another thread.

I just came up with this idea five seconds ago. What about for every 500 posts (or somet other number) you get a star?
