Question of the week just kind of changes whenever I (or one of the other mods) is in the mood to think of something. No one ever suggests anything, so it gets difficult trying to come up with new ones on a regular basis.

Favorite movie genre, eh? Okay, I'll have to think of the options on that one.

I choose comedy. Not cos I like comedies so much (so few of them are really good) but if a movie makes me laugh it's usually won me over.

Funnily enough I don't like sci fi movies nearly as much as TV sci fi.

My fav movies at the moment are all slightly trashy Hong Kong horror/action/comedy/kung fu ones. The classics.

Romantic comedies. xp Or at any rate, I always seem to end up watching romantic comedies... But sci-fi's good too. "Serenity" is such an awesome movie. Go watch it.

And my favorite movie at the moment is probably "V for Vendetta", which is kind of action-adventure/ sci-fi/ political thriller/ totally depressing. xd If "Phantom of the Opera" had a baby with "1984", you'd get "V for Vendetta."

Fantasy!
The most awesome movies ever were the LoTR Trilogy! They made Christmases really exciting there for a while! xd
The Harry Potter movies are pretty cool too although I prefer the earlier ones--they have to change or cut so much now because the later books are so huge.

I dunno what my favorite movies are. In terms of which movies I've rewatched the most, the top three are...

3rd place: My Sassy Girl
2nd place: Fight Club
1st place: Transformers (the Movie)

Of course most of my viewings of Transformers was when I was younger. How can you not like a film with the vocal talents of Eric Idle, Leonard Nimoy, and Orson Welles? Plus a whole bunch of characters get killed off just because their toys were discontinued! Huzzah!!!

Let us not forget the 80s rock soundtrack. I defy anyone to stick "The Touch" or "Dare" into the tape player in the car and then stay under the speed limit wink I recommend not moshing while driving though wink

I don't think I could say I have a favourite film. There are a fair few Disney animated movies I've watched loads of times (I swear Lilo & Stitch and the associated soundtrack got me through my final year at uni). I don't know how many times I've seen Star Wars. I would recommend the Three Musketeers and the Four Musketeers to anyone who has a penchant for swashbuckling and one-liners. I swear, Faye Dunaway is the creepiest Milady ever (except maybe for the one in Dogtanian...).

There's times I'm stuck in traffic that I wouldn't mind running over and blasting everything in my path, Optimus-style, with "The Touch" playing in the background...

Lilo & Stitch is my favorite of the new (Little Mermaid and beyond) Disney movies. And it had Kevin McDonald (of Kids in the Hall fame).

Things I love are things like The Pink Panther (and lots of other Peter Sellers movies), Sleuth, Time Bandits, Flashback, and The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming. Some silly things and some that are just way too cool.

I used to think the movie Clue was stupid (c'mon, it's based on a dang board game!), but actually I kind of liked it when I saw it recently at a friend's place. Tim Curry was actually rather amusing. Plus Jane Weidlin got shot. I never was a Go-Go's fan...

This same friend also tried to convince me that The Rocky Horror Picture Show was a cool picture. I hated it.

I like Airplane! and The Naked Gun movies. Someday I hope they release Howard the Duck on DVD, though I have this strange suspicion that it's going to suck a lot worse than I remember.

"Just like the Mounties, we always get our man!"
"Mrs. Peacock was a man?!?"

Which ending did you watch?

All three of them. Or however many it was. They strung them all together for the DVD release. It ends with "this is what really happened...", and reveals that Mr. Body who was actually Wadsworth was killed by Mr. Green in the hall with the revolver.

I (sadly) bought the Dungeons & Dragons movie on DVD. It had Tom Baker as a chubby old elf. It was sad to see him do a cameo for such an abomination of a movie.

I have the Clue DVD too, bought purely on the basis that Tim Curry was in it. I really liked it - but for the terrible jokes mostly.

Yes... the Dungeons and Dragons movie... good job I'm not a D&D fan or I might have been really upset. The worst thing is it even had a decent cast; Jeremy Irons, Thora Birch, Tom Baker - it even had Richard O'Briens! Who I knew as the host of the Crystal Maze (which was awesome) before I watched the Rocky Horror Show and then all the thousands of other things he's been in...

Annyway, on the subject of fantasy movies, who here has seen the Eragon movie? I haven't yet and I was a bit worried that it might go the same way as D&D. It even has some of the same cast in! And the whole young boy/elf girl/dragons combination.
