Feel the sun penetrate through your cells, what is like when the sun mutates them? The Emperoress is waits for an answer as she lets you dig deeper into the feeling.

Suki Kat Corytenn0314 Suki Kat Corytenn0314 Suki Kat Corytenn0314 ::this time maugrim followed his movement instructions, walking slowly and starting by almost hooking his hearing in one spot and streching it along to the ballroom. from there, he would close his eyes and strech his sense of the sounds around him as far as he possibly could. he heard younglings chattering about how the day's training had been, some looking for master suki to continue on. he would eventually hear the insects in their inharmonious music, chirping this and calling that.:: (no points for the first task? oh well. this is my punishment for not taking the easy way out, i guess(if you haven't figured out already, i'll propably bludgeon this point to a slow painfull death, then bring it back to die slowly once more). such is the life of an honest roleplayer) ((I see I forgot to assign points. I told you guys I was goofy yesterday, but maybe that was Peppa and Cronus xp Of course, you get an experience point for the first task.)) The Emperoress, appears in the ballroom. Satisfied that you have taken your task to heart. You feel that she has been watching you and maybe even getting inside your head a little.Very good. You get one experience point in Magnify Senses. For our next task, we'll do taste. Go down to the kitchen. I have prepared for you five drinks with tastless powder in one of them. I want you to drink each one, and then extend your senses, finding which one has the hidden powder. ::maugrim went to the kitchen and drank slowly, extending his taste to it's absolute limit as he sipped each one in cycle over and over. eventually, he settled on the one left of the middle, taking one more sip before taking it back towards where suki would be waiting for him:: Correct! I am very pleased with well you are doing in Sense. Smell will be the next sense that we will work on. I am going to have you blind folded and I want you to tell me what three 'odorless', well at least to our sense, chemical compound this is. She blind folds him and holds up three different jars, which at first you can't smell...::maugrim streched his sense of smell into the jars. it wasn't easy, but eventually he got his noze to strengthen up enough to pick up the scents of the jars, one by one. he listened to what each jar had to tell him. the first was the simplest. he tapped the side of it, saying "sodium chloride". the second was a bit more difficult. the jar smelt alot weaker. he focused on the scent untill finally he recognised it, and said "dihydrogen oxide". the last was an odd one. it was something that he had never smelt in his life before, and propably for a good reason. he let the energy within this substance speak to him, untill finally he said "this last one... it's Xenotime. LnPO4, every one of the lanthanoids exept for promethyum combined with Phosphorus and four molecules of oxygen. nice trick with the salt and the purified water, by the way." he added at the end of this long and enduring task:: You are correct. One point in magnify senses. The last 'real' sense that we will work on is touch. This one is a bit tricky, because there are certain things that are harder to feel, such as still air, the microbes on your skin, and so forth. This can actually come in handy when you can identify different things from hyper sensitivity, such as different metals, microbes, types of bone, fibers; these all have their own pattern. She sets out several panels of metals and woods. I would like you to study each one with your fingers. You do that for a little while and then Emperoress blind folds you again.I have rearranged these in no particular order. Now I would like for you to identify each of these by touch. You know there are three different kinds of metal and three different kinds of wood.::maugrim had been magnifying his sense of touch as best he could strech it since the begining of this last test. he worked quickly to check each metal and wood again, slowly but surely rearanging them again. after a while working, forcing his fingers to tell him which was which, and where it belongs in the pattern, he stopped, saying "they should be in the order they started in"

Corytenn0314 ::maugrim had been magnifying his sense of touch as best he could strech it since the begining of this last test. he worked quickly to check each metal and wood again, slowly but surely rearanging them again. after a while working, forcing his fingers to tell him which was which, and where it belongs in the pattern, he stopped, saying "they should be in the order they started in" You get one experience point in magnify sense. You have the minimum requirement to move onto another skill. Would you still like to practice magnify sense or start on one of the other skills?

i've no more need to train in sense, so it would be best if I moved on to a force power, which I must first go petition for.

I first want to meditate and explore your body, especially your nerves and synapses. Learn where they are and how they feel.

Now, I am going to send electric shocks to your body and I want you to 'turn off', so to speak, your nerves and synapses that are being effected. You feel a sudden shock to kidneys, causing you pain...

You get one point in Control Pain. Next we will simulate a stronger pain, such as getting an extremity sliced off. Don't worry, I am not going to do that to you. I will control the pain parts of your brain to similate it. Are you ready? After taking a deep breath you feel like something has ripped your leg off...

::maugrim gripped the upper end of his leg in pain, using the same technique he had before to shut off the pain from his mind. it wasn't easy to force so much pain from his mind, and maugrim struggled much with this, but he continued on nonetheless, controlling the pain, making it go away.::
