Nazi of Grammar I think it's kind of mean to make fun of others over a pairing. If they like that pairing, all the power to them. whee
Hiei/Kurama: Honestly.. I think it's heavily hinted at in the series. It happens to be my favorite pairing.
Kurama/Yukina: Makes sense because Hiei seems to trust/respect Kurama - mostly - and therefore Kurama's probably the only person Hiei would ever, in a thousand years, trust her with.
Kurama/Keiko: Though not canon, obviously, I think most fans of this pairing love it because Keiko deserves something better than Yuskue and his immature crap. Keiko's smart and might actually be able to keep up with Kurama's mind.. or, better than most.
Shizuru/Keiko: There's a LOT of subtext between Shizuru and Keiko in the series. I think it's one-sided, though, with Shizuru liking Keiko and Keiko not even knowing.
So, really.. I don't think any pairings are weird. Fanfiction writers might make it weird or ruin them, but the PAIRINGS aren't that bad. *Heartily agrees* Hear, hear!! 3nodding

Still, fanfiction with non-canon pairings are fun to read.

Only to laugh at, for me. Non-canon pairings can be so strange.. Though crossover pairings are the worst.

Well... usually the characters worlds rules are different. Crossover pairings are usually terrible. Even if they make sense they become ooc most of the time.

I am sooooooooo against yaoi/yuri. Sorry to fans of the stuff but I do. But... I actually like Koenma/Botan. But it usually depends on how the story is written. Being a fanfic writer myself, it's easy to see why people get carried away and end up writing OOC.

I'm not against Shounen ai , just don't like any Shounen ai couples in YYH.
Koenma X Botan still is a little weird to me..

Not that anyone can tell.

Interesting conversation. xDD
Just as a side note: can we keep the quote pyramids down to two or three quote boxes? It really fills up the page and is a bit annoying to sift through. Thanks!
