Jacklin watched as the curtain she was hiding behind was pushed away, then watched as her father bent down to look at her. She looked down at the ground trying to avoid eye contact, and bit her bottom lip afraid of answering his question because she didn't want to get in trouble. "... I wanted to come find you... and see you... because I miss you... " she half mumbled, her face directed to the ground the entire time. She stood there hoping with all her might that he wouldn't get mad at her.

Vamp smiled. He remebered his promise to his wife. That'd he tried not to let work in the way. But the peace he fought so hard for seemed to be falling apart. He could not always save the universes. He had to ready his son and a few others to do his job and help balance the force of Chaos. But with EEF's threatening return he had no choice but to leave home. " I'm sorry Jacklin. I promise..tommorrow we will do something tommorrow. I swear. I'm very busy right now" he said brushing her hair out of her face.

" Luna this is my daughter, Jacklin. Jacklin. This is Luna" he said introducing them to each other.

Jacklin looked up from the floor and looked at her father, she smiled and nodded her head with joy and understanding. She was relieved that he hadn't become angry with her.

Jacklin peered from behind her father at the lady he had introduced as Luna. She was a very shy girl, but only toward people she didn't know, or in this case people she was meeting for the first time. She waved slightly toward Luna, a small smile lining her face.

Ayame blinked, walking into the curious village. She blinked, giving a happy giggle. "It's so peaceful here!" She chimed, even if it was still raining. She then spied the inn, and she pointed at it, looking back at the group, saying, "I bet there's something at the inn, right? Inns usually have stuff, right?" She asked curiously.

Daisuke sighed, his ears once more drooping from being wet. "I just got dry, too.." he whined, following Ayame's finger as she pointed. "I don't care if they have food or not, I want to get out of the rain." and without hesitation, he dashed into the building.

Ayame turned around, looking at Kohaku and Kisa. "O-oh!" She gasped softly, examining the outstretched wing over Kisa's head. He was.... just like her. She had wings like Kohaku did. She smiled, turning back around. "Wait for me, Ki-kun!" She cried for Daisuke, running in the building as well.

Kohaku blinked, walking into the peaceful village. It was... nice. "I like it here alrady..." He sighed. Yes, he was already very wet, but Kisa and Kurri weren't, at least. "Isn't it nice here, Kisa-san?" he asked Kisa. He wondered why Kisa touched his wing back at the fields, but he didn;t really care if he found out or not. It tickled, however. It tickled when she touched his wing... probably because no one usually laid a finger on them.

Kisa was lost in her thoughts for a moment, still trying to figure out who those black wings belonged to. There had been four wings, not just two... It definitely couldn't have been her, because she was human and wolf, and neither of those posessed wings. Right?

She looked up at Kohaku when he spoke, and nodded her head. "Yes, it is nice," she agreed, realizing she wasn't getting stares. Being a half breed, she was somewhat used to getting odd looks, or being picked on. It was a relief it wasn't happening. Though, she also suddenly realized Kohaku was soaked, and she'd even been taking her time in walking. "I'm sorry!" she cried, and grabbed his hand without thinking, hurrying more quickly towards the inn Daisuke and Ayame had disappeared into. "You're all wet now.."

Koahaku blinked, standing next to Kisa for one moment, then being dragged along. He almost tripped over his feet, but caught himself and kept up with Kisa, trying to keep his wing over hr head. He stopped at the entrance of the end, letting Kisa in first. He shook his head and wings, water droplets flying off of both. His wings dissappeared in a blink, and he walked into the inn. It was warm and welcoming... Kohaku enjoyed it. "No need to be sorry." he told her cheerfully.

Ayame and Daisuke both blinked, and smiled at eachother. things were turning out better than they were, but not as good as they hoped. Ah well... things go at their own pace. You can't rush things and get a good result from it. Ayame sighed, sitting down at a table in the resturaunt area. "Yay!" She chimed, looking at Daisuke, "I wanna get ramen. What about you, Ki-kun?" She chimed.

"Anything with fish." Daisuke replied, sitting down next to Ayame. He crossed he arms on the table, resting his head on them. he gave a boyish smile at the thought of fish, and it made his ears perk up and his tail swing back and forth freely.

Kisa released his hand as soon as they'd entered the inn, flecks of pink in her green eyes. She watched for a moment as Kohaku came in, her eyes fixed on his wings. Then she blinked, and they'd vanished. She gave a small jump of surprise. They were gone just like that? So easily? For the girl in her memories it'd.. been so painful. But Kisa pushed the thought away, and nodded her head slowly. "All... right," she agreed reluctantly. She couldn't help feeling guilty though.

She glanced around, then slowly started towards Daisuke and Ayame, her tail wagging slightly behind her. She had a question to ask but decided she'd save it for a little bit later. Soon though. She didn't want to forget and not ask at all. "Um, this way," she said, looking towards Kohaku, and then arriving at Daisuke and Ayame's table. Kurri was still in her arms, observing everything.

"Hey, don't feel so guilty about it, Kisa-san!" He said confidently, adding a happy grin. He walked with Kisa, following her like she told him to. They then stopped at the table that Ayame and Daisuke were sitting at, and he pulled out a chair for Kisa. "Ladies first," he said, and he pushed the chair back in when she sat down. He then took a seat in the last available chair, next to Kisa, and he smiled.

Daisuke blinked, watched the whole scene, and then looked at Ayame. Ayame gave him a soft glare, and Daisuke sighed. "Oi... don't be so picky." He told her, gently placing his fist on her head. He got a soft smile in response, and he was fine with this. Along cave the wiater, and He placed his and Ayame's orders enthusiasticly.

"I'm not that hungry. Just water, please." Kohaku told the waiter, and waited for Kisa to do something.

Luna smiled softly and stepped over to Jacklin, kneeling down to her level to make the small girl feel like a equal instead of a child. Her smile was like that of a mother, she tended to have a strong motherly instinct towards those younger then her. Seeing Jacklin smile Luna reached out her hand, waiting for Jacklin to grab it for a friendly handshake.

"Its a pleasure to meet you Jacklin, my I must say your a very brave girl to come all this way to see your father. You must not be afraid of anything huh?"

Kisa stared at the chair for a moment before seating herself down. When was the last time someone had pulled the chair out for her? Actually, she wasn't sure if anyone had, ever. So that made her a little.. happy. She smiled lightly to herself, keeping Kurri in her lap, partially under the table. Hopefully they didn't mind animals in here? Considering she had the ears and tail of one. She also wore no shoes, and hadn't been yelled at yet, so she guessed it was fine.

Her eyes flicked towards the waiter, and she hesitated, frowning lightly as she thought to herself. "A small... steak," she mumbled, feeling a little odd. "..rare done." She wrinkled her nose slightly, but wasn't going to change her order. She just felt weird since she knew her plate would have bloody meat in it. But, she was a wolf..

Jacklin watched as Luna knelt down in front of her, and extended her hand toward her. Jacklin extended her hand out toward her as well, her hand was very small in comparison but that of course was natural, she gently shook Luna's hand.

"it's nice to meet you too. " she said slowly and somewhat shyly. She began to shake her head slightly "I'm afraid of some things, but I know mommy, daddy and big brother will protect me, so it's okay." She said with a big smile on her face as she looked up at her father.

And with Kisa's order, the waiter walked away, leaving the four people and the cat at the table. Kohaku looked at Kisa, blinking. She seemed to feel... weird? He put a hand on her head lightly and said, "It's okay. Really, it is." He then removed his hand from her head, and he thought to himself quietly. He felt really happy, being with these people... but he couldn't help but feel like... something was being plotted. He blinked once more, looked at Kisa for a moment, but the looked away. A small blush was on his face, but he hid it well enough so Kisa didn't see.

Ayame blinked, dragging Daisuke out of his seat, and she said, "We'll be right back, 'kay?" She then dragged Daisuke outside, hearing him protest about going out in the rain. She put a finger to his lips, and he immediatly stopped talking.

"Ayame?" Daisuke asked uncertainly, sitting on a bench outside. fortunatly, it was protected from the rain by a canopy. Ayame sat next to him, and she sighed. When she scooted closer to him, he put his arms over her shoulders. "Are you okay?" He asked softly, trying to look her in the eyes. However, she wouldn't let him look her in the face. So, he just rested his chin on top of her head quietly.

"Daisuke..." She whispered, "I was afraid... I was afraid that you were going to..." Ayame paused, her grey eyes looking downwards to the ground. She felt Daisuke shake his head, and he told her it was okay.

"They're good for eachother, don't you think?" Kohaku asked Kisa, giving her a smile. "What about you? I'm sure you have someone." He said happily.

Kisa closed one eye when he placed his hand on her head. She still managed to keep the blush from her face, but the flecks of pink appeared in her eyes, unable to be restrained. She just smiled lightly, eye opening again when his hand pulled back. She then began to simply watch the table for a moment, not sure what to say.

Her head did jerk up though, when Ayame suddenly dragged Daisuke off with her. "Um, ok..." She watched them go, cast Kohaku another glance, and then looked back to the table. She now felt more awkward than ever, with just the two of them here. Kurri was still sitting in her lap as well, but he couldn't talk to break the silence. Well, he could, but they couldn't understand.

She was slightly relieved when Kohaku spoke, and nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, they are." They seem to have known each other for a while too. It was good that they were still together after so long. Then she paused suddenly, staring at Kohaku when he asked about her. "Me?" she blinked, and then shook her head. "I've never.. had someone." She paused, her head tilting slightly. "What about you?"

Vamp smiled at Jacklin patting her head a bit. He suddenly felt something. The death of being and the rising power of another. It was very wrong. He looked out the window to see a storm had gathered over the forest near by. It was raining here but that storm looked unatural. He swear he saw a bolt of red lightning...and in the distance...a roar of an angered dragon.

"Really?" Kohaku asked, shocked. He almost found it hard to believe that Kisa never had someone. Then again... neither had he. "No, I've never had anyone. I... don't seem to be the kind that most people go for..." He admitted, scratching his head. "Maybe I never will be... I don't know..." He rambled, blinking once or twice. "Though... it makes me wonder what it's like." He added.

Ayame and Daisuke spied on Kisa and Kohaku trhough the window over the bench, hiding every time that Kisa or Kohaku glanced over. They were trying to avoid being caught, and to not have either of the two figure out their plan. "Ki-kun... It's working.." Ayame said confidently.

"Shh! Just watch." Daisuke told her, caising Ayame to immediatly quiet herself. His sapphire eyes watched curiously, his eyebrows furrowed.
