Just a few more things! ;D
And so, here Cloud is. There for her like he promised. In Last Order (which IS a reliable source despite what some desputes on that issue are) this is the point where Cloud smiles at Tifa, glad that she is okay.
Cloud responds "I know..."
I don't know if Cloud thought he was going to die or not, but I see the "I know..." response as a sad good-bye, or a small confidence that he isn't really going to die if he falls. This shows that Tifa cares about Cloud, obviously, because she held on as long as she could. Did you see her face when Cloud started falling? And,
"So much I want to tell you"
Like what? That you love him? ;D That's what I assume she means.
Yes, I do have to bring Cleris into this. Because, a lot of them have said to me that Cloud doesn't care about Tifa as much, because when Tifa is in danger he doesn't cry over her, and he doesn't get all emotional over her. Some say this scene is proof of that. I say, that he really WAS sad. He was happy though, because he smiled at her. So, I believe he was self-assured that she was okay and alive. If she had died, he CERTAINLY would of acted differently--- however, it's not my place ot say how.

**Aeris and Tifa did NOT hate eachother. Just for the record, a lot of Cloti and Cleris fans have that mindset.

Just looked how depressed Cloud got when Aeris died and he only knew her for one disk. Just think of the impact he would have had if Tifa, a person he had known since childhood, had died instead. I think if she had died I think Cloud might have gone insane and maybe even killed himself instead of just being majorly depressed. LunarSong FYI <3

** Yeah Tifa and Aeris didn't hate each other but I wouldn't call them friends either. They were two women that could have decent conversations with each other. That's how I see it anyway. I just like this picture. Both Tifa and Aeris chilling out. xd

I will admit that I like this pairing. The hardships and staggering emotional drama these two go through together really can set the heart a spin. I do admit, too me, the romantic pairing of the two is illogical to me. However, romantic love is not the only kind of love. The family love though to me does run very deep. Cloud and Tifa really reminds me of myself and my best friend, James, in their relationship. James and I are often believed to be a couple when seen from a third party. But the feelings James and I have go even beyond romantic love. We bend over backwards to help each other. We share in secrets. We are family. Much like Cloud and Tifa.
You can cast your stones at me if you think this love isn't as good as the idea of romantic love... but I prefer it that way. And anyone else who is lucky enough to have experienced such a relationship I think would agree with me.

First of all... thank you. It is as possible as anything else involving relationships. Personally, I hope it doesn't... mothers, fathers, and sibling relationships can support us in key ways romantic relationships cannot. Family relationships are true forms of unconditional love... loving without the need to be loved in return. Romantic relationships are not unconditional because it eventually must be resiprocated. Romantic love would be a step backwards for Cloud and Tifa in my eyes. But again to each their own. But I wish them best... and when I'm done with my AU portraying the relationship I see I hope you'll read it RxH.

Yeah... its an AU because it runs through the story on how I think it would have happaned had Zack lived. Tifa does later on becomes romantically involved with Zack because I think Tifa would benefit from a romantic relationship and in my opinion the character of Zack fits her needs more than Cloud.
But, it also shows the family bonds I see between Cloud and Tifa... and if it makes you feel better. Cloud does not end up with Aeris. I will admit there is romantic tension, but Cloud, like in the game, does not end up with anyone.

I don't think Cloud and Tifa being romantic with one another would be a step behind... I think that nothing would change between them, besides that they'd grow even more comfortable with eachother. : O But, that's just me and you^^(up there somewhere XD) are entitled to your own opinion as well. I see how you have a view based on personal experience, and I do too. Before my boyfriend and I got together, we were a lot like Cloud and Tifa, we were a lot like brother and sister, family. But when I asked him out, things really changed. He said yes of course, and we've been together for three years now... things changed because our feelings deepened... and that's why I think Cloud and Tifa's realationship might deepen also... Of course, I'm not Tifa and my boyfriend isn't Cloud(sadly lol) so who knows! ;D
I agree with RXH--- feelings can very well change. biggrin

Aw... I love using personal life in my discussions, too, and it seems you and your friend are really close.
Still, even if Cloud and Tifa did have a romantic relationship rather than a family-like relationship, it wouldn't be a step back. Sure, it doesn't work all the time, like when my stalker ended up saying that we were more than friends without my knowing and we ended up not talking to each other, but it has worked in real life. Real life situation, real life... Got it!
My best friend Wilson and his girlfriend Tiffany (Hah! Tiffany! 4 letters away from Tifa! That is awesome!) were friends for a while. Even though he got into romantic relationships with others, she stuck by his side like a sister when he was in hardship. However, when she finally gained the courage to come up to him and ask him for a date, they got really closer from that. Now, I know it may be hard to resiprocate love, but that is what romantic love is, a love where there is love on both sides of the fence. When they have that kind of love, and are able to give it to both of them, they can get so much closer than a brotherly/sisterly kind of love. They could end up raising a family with some kids, grow up old together watching their kids have kids. Hell, worked for my grandma's sister and her husband.
I'm not saying that loving someone like a brother or sister means you HAVE to get with that person. I am also not saying that loving someone like family is lower than a romantic relationship. They are equal, and should be considered as such. The one difference in a romantic and family relationship is that in family, you are willing to love and protect that person till the ends of the earth and will be able to spill your heart out to them. In a romantic one, though ,you have to be able to keep that love alive, keep loving that person in the easy and hard times, and when times seem tough you help lift them up, because you are now the closest person to your significant other.
That's just my view... Now, I'll have a taco and a hot pocket.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is time for me to get back on the scene any who while i know many of you missed me but i must keep this brief i agree with lunarsong that he was sad because 1. sadness isnt always expressed with tears and 2. wouldnt you be sad if your best friend was near slaughtered!

I would love to have a guy I liked as a brother. After all, family is forever. No matter what happens family will be there for you.
Still, I wouldn't mind a romantic relationship either. I think that if Nick (a childhood friend of mine) and I ever met again it would be somewhat like Cloud and Tifa.
