A slight sneer wanders around the edge of Hestia's beak - but it's difficult to tell, as an avain's face is so hard to read. She almost dances from foot to foot. She's actually somewhat surprised that Waka is tolerating even her presense; either Waka realizes she's someone important, or she caught the lioness on a good day. She might even know of Hestia. "I see."
"Then you haven't noticed the - what was the word you so delicately used? Scum? - that have slipped past your oh-so-keen eyes, hunter," The sparrowhawk offers, tone innocent enough. "Your wonderous princess...now, what was her name...Sua? Jua? Yes, Jua, that was it..." She seems to consider, muling over her words as she ruffles her feathers. "Dreadful, with the cubs, and all - " A sardonic eye rests on Waka. "Rogue's cubs, all that 'dirty' blood. Pity they're still running about."

"Jua was no royalty. She was a lazy, spoiled hussy!" Waka spat, her dislike of Jua evident. Ears pressed forward, Waka leaped to her feet, as the last words left Hestia's beak. "What?! Those b*****d children? Alive? I thought my King would of surely killed them off! They taint the Blood!"
"Tell me where they are. I know you know, or why else would you be telling me?" Waka narrowed her eyes even more, until they were mere slits of light. "And if not...I'll find them anyway." A rather satanic grin crept onto her face, and this time she did not replace it.

Hestia's eyes go wide - but there's a flicker of slyness behind them. "Oh, dear. I've gone and upset you," She laments, theatrically. "I shouldn't have said...maybe it wouldn't have been better...but...I'm afraid I saw one of the little rats near one of the borders. With some other cat, I'm not sure exactly what it was...you all look so similar to me. Except the Firekin, of course, with your noble pelts." The flattery she's giving out makes her want to grin her teeth, if she had them. She has to stop from grinding her beak, instead. "I'm not certain if any others survived, but I'm afraid if one survived...why, they all might have, dear."

Muttering a quick 'thank you,' Waka turned sharply, her destination clear. The borders, the borders...Damn bird! She would of ran full and straight there, but she was not foolish enough to that on such a day as this.
It was out in the blazing sun, that Waka finally sat down in the burning sands, to contemplate what she should do. She doubted the cubs would still be by the borders. The sparrowhawk hadn't said when she saw the cub, just that she saw it.
Damnation! It didn't matter if she had to venture into the very heart of the Pridelands...Waka would find those cubs. And do what should of been done to them in the first place. Dispose of them.

Creeping towards the oasis, Kitwana began searching for a hidden carcass, one of his secret catches, those which he did not share with the pride. Moving slowly, the slave's forehead still oozed a slow flow of blood, while his haunch was beginning to ease. His face was a mask of misery and fatigue, and the scrawny lion's body was beginning to show more ware than usual. The drought was taking it's toll on him, and with the food supply to the pride lessened, he was near starving. Thoughts of freedom swirled through the adolescent's mind, sweet freedom, freedom to feed himself, freedom to speak his mind, freedom to go where he pleased, do as he pleased. But freedom equated with death for slaves, and he feared that only in death would he achieve it.
The lean youth's labourious movements at length brought him deep into a patch of scrub, the scent of decomposing meat filling his nostrils. The carcass lay close to the edge, but he did not wish to be seen at present. He wanted to rest before he ate. As his eyes closed, his mind filled once more with thoughts of green grasses, plentiful oasises, and row after row of antelope, all for him.

((ahh *fear* o__O))
Wokovu gave a nod to Jasiri as a hello, shifting his attention back to his 'mom' waiting to see if she was still mad at him.
Yakuti nodded a bit "i guess you could call me that.." she shifted still being nervious about being out in the daytime. She glanced at wokovu who was giving her rather cute puppy-er.. kitty face. she sighed "Well i guess being chased down by a vulture did teach you a lesson." she smiled at the cub who in turn gave her a happy thank you and licked her face, making her fall over with a yip.
The cub laughed at her and stood up eyeing the carcas once again "So.. you mean you guys acctually eat animals this big?"

(lol. >3)
The sparrowhawk watches her go, the expression on her visage flickering triumph. Fools! Everyone seems to be so easily tweaked to her will - a little nudge here and there, and things start falling into motion, like a tiny pebble that starts an avalanche.
Cackling, she watches as Waka fades into the distance, before spreading her wings and taking to the air.
A dark speck shows in the distance before flickering out, like a light.

Kimondo didn't stray far from the den, unsure whether she would be able to find her way back to it. She was hoping to find something to eat, she was quite hungry, but prey seemed to be quite scarce out in the desert. She sighed and plopped herself down in the top of a large dune. She yawned and stretched, her red pelt shining in the sun's hot rays.

Now that Waka had calmed down over the initial shock of Jua's cubs being alive, Waka had her thoughts about her. I can't do it today. No, not today. But I must act soon...Or they will grow. With these thoughts, Waka turned back toward the comfort, and shade, of the caverns.
As soon as the cliffs swam into view, Waka pushed her walk into a steady trot, eager to get back. She must discuss this with Sumba. Speak of the devil, there was Sumba! The fool, she was lying full and clear upon a dune, not in the protecting shade of the cliffs. Ah well, Waka knew her sister had her reasons for everything.
But as Waka drew nearer to the lioness, she saw it wasn't Sumba at all. "Who are you, and why are you within the lands of the Blood?" Waka demanded of Kimondo, coming to a rest a few feet from where Kimondo lay.
Waka noted, with some confusion, that this stranger had the red colors, the trademark of the Blood. But it did not matter...A trespasser was a trespasser.

Taka smirked affectionately at the fox and the cub, it was so cute! She couldn't help but give Teule a loving lick on the head, pushing the little mane he had forward and into his eyes. She gestured to the little fennec fox towards the carcass, offering some if she were hungry since she knew the three wouldn't not finish it all.
"Yea, we do! Cept' sometimes we just eat hares and little things cause I have to practice hunting!"

Kimondo was a bit startled by Waka but didn't let it show. She looked at the lioness, noting she looked much like the others with her red pelt and slightly stocky body. She held herself with as much confidence as she could muster up as she faced the lioness. "I am Kinja, I came looking for your pride after my mother spoke of you. She and my father have both perished so I need a pride to be with. The king, Makadari has already approved of my being here."
She looked the lioness in the eyes, she was dead determined not to let herself be found out, not now. She was so close to being near Kiu again.
Rising up onto her haunches she curledher tail around her legs and waited to see what this new lioness would do. Kimondo knew that she would have to prove herself to the other members of the pride as well. She just hoped the rest were as easy to convince as Makadari was.
