ooc: Tracey, a girl?
Tracey: O.O
IC: This woman disturbed him greatly, everything about her made him unsettled. Deciding with the way she was acting, he would try his best not to let her in the same area as the Captain alone.
Who recruited the nut? She had to have come up on her own, he thought. Fixing his bandana, he kept watching the deck, and her. Someone would get hurt with a careless deck hand. This was his job as well as Tia, nothing would happen wrong so far as he could do something about it.

(( sweatdrop Sorry. Tracey's my teacher's name... I always assumed it was a woman's name. I'm real sorry.))
Mariko did accidently NEARLY knock over a barrel full of a strange smell slosh-water while halfway through the melancholy refrain of a ballad called "Souls o' the Sea."
Well... Normally, a story about a drowned sailor imprisoned by fairies under the ocean and kept far away from his beloved bride-to-be would have been sad and tragic....
But burbled from the accented "Eeeegurish" of the young pirate, the song sounded like a drinking ballad.
Mariko danced around the deck, swiping up puddles. Several times, she skipped to a different song, but the effect was always the same: A soft, sad melody of loss turned into
"LAAABEEBADDDAHHH LAAAA!"

ooc: No problem, it just surpised me, then again I thought Ryan, was a male name and Ashley a girls. You can never tell these days.
IC: Having enough of the irresponsible crew mate, Tracey approached her, "Miss, I suggest you take a lot more care with your movements. You're going to hurt someone or yourself like that." Not only that, she was doing a lot more harm then good. If she didn't follow his request, it would become an order.
If she wasn't drunk, she wasn't someone he'd give rum rations to; already she was as loopy as a loon and as disagreeable. He could understand why her former captains would be rough with her. He didn't wish her ill will, but not everyone could handle irresponsibility on their decks and he had only seen her for a while.

((What???? Ryan IS a male name, Ashlet IS a female name. ...Err... ...Right?))
Mariko swept up an easy, casual salute but frowned. "Miss? MISS?" She looked around mock-wildly. "Miss? I see no Miss here! Miss is Miss Pretty Fragile Lady!" She laughed her screaming hyena-laugh again. "Besides, it's not like I actually hurt anybody........... Yet.... 'Cept for that damn parrot. Served that thing right though." She mopped up a pile of water, concentrating so hard that her brow furrowed into the Pits of Hell themselves. "Orders from Tia, I am expressly supposed to clean up," she said in a low, deep voice of utmost seriousness, but them spoiled the effect by splitting into ear-splitting hyena-laughter. "HAH! I'm not crazy sah, I'm not, I know southerly-south wind from the north-east-west of north, quoting Sir Henrika Shakespur," she cackled gleefully. "Once more unto the break!" she shrieked and sopped up the puddle of water.

Tia watched the girl and put her hand to her head. This girl was very odd and starting to get on her nerves. In this moment she missed the no singing rule from her last ship no matter how rediculas that rule was. Tia turned her attention to Marey, Tia wished to not seem like she didnt care about the girl. "Its nice to meet you Marey, I look fowards to work with you on this ship." Tia looked back to Mariko she had already talked to her about the way she was acting and was alittle grumpy that Tracey was also having to speak with her too. She walked up beside Tracey and made it a point that Mariko saw her frown. "Please do calm down with your actions. They are reckless and on the insane side. One would think you drunk if it werent for the lack of the smell of rum about you." Tia looked at Tracey and gave him a questioning smile. She was still worried about the look he had given her just moments ago.

((Sorry about Mariko's actions, but I'm trying to make her the way I imagined her. Are you a stranger to her? Is she pissing you off? Is she REALLY annoying you? If so, then she's perfectly in character. mrgreen I love playing characters like this.))
Mariko turned around and smiled brightly and quite cheerfully to Tia. "Kah, Tia, glad to see you again!" Mariko and the mop curtsied and bowed to Tia. "Eh, I'm cleaning up, ain't Ah?" she asked totally misinterpretted Tia's frown. "If that was your parrot, I'm really sorry, but the damned thing had it coming. Besides, I was sacrificing myself- Ol' Drunk Joe woulda eaten that stupid bird anyways." She shrugged and swabbed the water off the deck. Damn people. Was it too hard to avoid tracking water on the deck? She was glad that she was a gunner and not an official deckswabber.

Samuel was both annoyed and releaved that Zaldeer had ignored his last statment shurging his eyes searched the deck for the possible captain not seeing anyone well decorated enough he sighed and watched the rest of the crew. Spotting Marey whom seemed to be being left out he walked over to her. "Greeting my name is Sammy Skull. And yours?"

((I like her but she is quickly getting on Tia's dislikes list))
Tia stared blankly at Mariko, slowly becomming convenced that she was insane. "What....parrot?" Tia was rather worried that she would have to keep someone like this under control. Rebilious was one thing, but insane was another. Tia was not sure what to do about this girl, give her a chance or report her concerns to the captain when she went to speak with him. It was then that her hand begain to sting reminding her once more that is was injured. Tia was starting to get tired it had been a long day and it wasnt over yet. Her hand was borthering her and she just wish she could sit down for a little while and have something to drink, not water either, but seeing as she wasnt about to pick up rum because of Tracey water would have to do. Tia gave a sigh that would have betrayed her more serious and strong body langue to the tired young woman below. Noticing that the dragon-kin female was not making a move for the captain she frowned again figuring that she should make her way to the captain now she excused herself from Tracey and Mariko. Before making her way to the captain stopping just outside the door she tried not to think about her old vists to captain Blackheart's cabin. They almost always meant a lashing. "Captain?" she asked with worry that she might be bothering him before slowly walking into the room.

((As long as you only dislike her in an RP! ^o^ Don't worry, knowing Mariko, she's gonna slap Tia on her "Best Friends" list... Because, well: have you reconized the symptoms of cranial neuron damage in Mariko yet? Just curious, or am I being too subtle with it?))
Mariko smiled brightly. "Oh, of course it wasn't your parrot. You don't look like a bird person, I mean, you remind me more of a porpoise. I love porpoises. You seem so... Free." She whistled a happy song and waved a fond farewell as Tia left and continued singing.
The way she made sure no one was looking before dancing and spinning in impossible figures but halting and moodily grumbling under her breath when someone turned towards her reminded one of a bird startled by light. Some people are simply too imprisoned to know they're not free.

Most of the cleaning seemed to be done. A bit more people had come aboard the ship since Luther found his way on. He didnt really talk to anyone, not sure what to say. He waited for orders to come, trying not to seem as if he were lazing about, but unsure of what he should be doing. Luther had thought about going to the Captain and asking him personally what he would like done. But Luther was not a man to go looking for duties. If the order came he would follow it to the best of his abilities, but as his boots were still drying it did not seem to him quite the drastic need for anything to be done.
Luther stopped an looked around, there were quite a few women aboard the ship, he never really had any kind of affinity for women, thinking them more of the household type then the sailing adventurers. Respect was not a question, for Luther showed equal respect to those showing it to him, but as far as ability to fight and crew were concerned, Luther never really saw a women as essential. More of a distraction then anything else really. It was plain that a few of the men were already being distracted, either gooing over a pretty face, or concerning themselves with conversation rather than work.
Noticing that he had been standing around looking at the people coming aboard for some time, Luther set out for the Captain, hoping to find him and assume some sort of duty. Anything was better then nothing on a ship. Maybe he would be able to show off a bit of his abilities with a sword, were anyone anxious to see. Realizing he did not even have his blades with him, Luther adoned his boots and set back to the cabin for his swords and would return to speak with the Captain.

"Thanks." Marey said to Tia. Her eyes followed Mariko, staring at her wonderingly. She seemed... strange enough. Of course, with Marey, strange was always better. Strange was not dull. That was a good thing. She didn't like dull people, and even though Mariko didn't seem completely there, it made her interesting. Interesting people had a knack for catching her attention.

Tracey noted the man that had gone below deck, unless he had a medical condition, in which case he really shouldn't be sailing, and then Tracey saw no reason to allow him down there right now. No one knew of the order not go to below to the bottom deck.
As much as he loathe looking away from to insane woman to make sure she wasn't doing anything to harm others, or herself, he really didn't have a choice. With Tia below to see the captain, which his worry for her because she sounded tired had only gone down a bit when she had gone to the captain.
Walking below deck, he called to big blond man, "Lad, get back on top deck!" It wasn't a suggestion either. So long as everyone was on the deck, he could find things for them to do, such as cleaning below deck on the first floor only, though he felt he would need to supervise that personally.
On the top deck once more, he looked around carefully, to try and judge who looked capable for the task. There were simple disciplinary things he could teach them as well, such as how to gather to hear the Captan. The insane girl, he didn't think she knew but it was worth finding out what everyone else knew. "When you’re done with your assigned tasks, and can't find anything to do, come see me."

Avelop walked to tracey, and bowed ''Sir, I have finished my Tasks, have you another for me to do?'' he then added ''or should I go solve the fact I only have a small knife the Captain pointed out to me. I'm sure I can find one somewhere, perhaps I may talk to the captain if he's not too busy.'' He knew he was talking fast, but he couldn't help it, he liked to live in confusion, living in the moment, he thought 'If you take life too seriously, you'll never make it out alive.'
Avelop flipped his knife around his fingers, a habbit of his, then looked again at Tracey and smiled, not a sarcastic smile though.

While Aiden McCallahan was awaiting the arrival of the next pirate, he searched his chaotic cabin for any sign of a deep green jar. As Tia had made it into his doorway, the captain shouted out in surprise, tossing the glass holder into the air and catching it quickly with a large hand. As he grinned proudly, he noticed the beautiful, blue-haired woman standing in the doorway. A faint glow came to the captain's cheeks. For demanding order among his ship, his cabin was certainly not the best example to give off.
"Tia, Tia! Come in! I've just found what I had been looking for!" The man pointed a fingure to the jar and motioned for the woman to take a seat on the crate beside his desk. Taking a seat in his own chair, the man spun off the lid of the jar and inspected the contents. Apparently he had quite a bit left and so Tia would not have to worry about the healing of her hand. Returning the lid, he handed the jar to the woman. "You will need to see Penelope about having your wound rebandaged as well as treated with the paste. It should be applied smoothly into the wound if I do remember correctly. The stinging should stop if it is bothering you.." The man seemed to realise he was rambling and quickly stopped, thinking of what other reasons Tia had come by.
"Did you have a question for me? Oh!" With his typical wide grin, the man leaned upon his desk and looked the woman over. "I am overly impressed by how smoothly you have handled yourself atop the deck. You are a natural born leader and the crew seems to have taken a great fondness of you. I would like to promote you Tia, but must wait only a bit before doing so. Tracey Tans has been promoted and I am deciding on yet another. I feel you three shall be a great trio to help keep order upon my ship. Please do not feel as though I am letting you down as I am certain if you continue as you are, you shall be promoted in no time!" Glancing back at her hand, the captain looked somewhat worried, "It seems to not be getting any better. Speak with Penelope as soon as possible and afterwards you may go to the second floor, choose a cabin and rest for the rest of the day. Much of the work has been done with your help and you are deserving of rest."

Glancing about Aurarius, the elf was both impressed as well as slightly disappointed. Though it was clear the ship was no galleon from afar, it did seem smaller once aboard. With so many pirates crowding around and busying themselves, Nicolas could feel a slight disgust come over him. Life aboard the Aurarius would certainly lead the man to become slightly claustrophobic. As Jamie had noticed, however, Nicolas did give an accepting nod towards the behavior of the scurrying deckhands. By the way Tia Catterwall and Tracey Tans were able to bark orders and be effectively listened to, Nicolas could feel his status becoming eager to be used. Sadly, it would take a respect on his part towards the captain to keep his shiney status.
Catching the site of Jamie Gallows straightening herself beside him, the elf could not help but side glance and offer a comforting word whispered in her ear, "You look fine, poppet." He wished he could say the same for himself, but considering their route in which they came aboard the ship, the water left them a bit more than just soggy. Keeping his clothes on to await ringing out at a later time, the man kept still and only watched.
Hearing the long line of pirates that wishd to speak with the captain, Nicolas nodded in Jamie's direction. "I believe it would be best to speak with the bandana-wearing male as he seems in charge now. Once we are able to speak with Aiden we may attempt and keep our ranks." As Nicolas spoke, he began in the direction of Tracey and paused only for Jamie to catch up.
