Even though I was spoiled by games like Oblivion for voice acting, I still think Suikoden would be fine without them. As long as they have a Japanese option in 6 though I have no beef either way.

QuistisTrepe19 Eh, I wouldn't mind paying $400 for a game system/Blu-Ray player. And I think computer? Doesn't PS3 also do that or something? IDK. Pretty much all you said is what the PS3 can do, just got mine about 2 months ago. Use it as a Game System, Blu-Ray DVD player, and when connected online, you can browse the internet. I think also download videos and pictures as well. In other words, it's a pretty capable system.

SAY WHAT?! eek PS3 can do all that?! gonk I thought it was just another "upgrade" on graphics and better gameplay etc~ geeee I never thought it could surf and DL much less is also a Blu-Ray system player >.< oooohhh I gotta get oonneee!!!

Yeah, but unless I'm mistaken you need to download videos in a particular format to be able to play them. The internet is also supposedly very limited since it doesn't yet support the latest flash, and apparently you can't copy and paste, but it's a free service so it is nice. Actually my beef lies in the fact that it's getting to the point where the consoles do too much. I buy a game system to play games. A random add-on like Movie player is nice, but not really necessary. Then you start with the music, pictures, removable HDD, etc. The push in unnecessary technology will soon get out of hand, and we'll pretty much be buying watered down PCs. Actually since PS3 was 600 bucks when it came out you could build a better tower for about the same price (Minus the Blu Ray, which doesn't really get used that much). I remember when 300 dollars was already expensive for a console, Now 300 bucks is on the cheap side? I fear what the prices will be like on a next gen console. 800 dollars for a system that will feed you, have it's own cable tv, wipe your a** for you but only have 3 playable games on it.
But... None of that has anything to do with Suikoden 6 so... Any news?

Ugh...you're totally right gonk I just want something simple and yet fun to play with. Aren't the games for PS3 also more expensive like $60 for the new ones? *sigh* I don't go online, listen to music or anything with the regular systems already. I have my PC for that sad
No news yet for 6 either >_> I sure hope they'll surprise us good. They better since it's been a really loong time.

Now that I think about it again... the nameless lands might actually be a good series to go from especially since we do get some glimpse of it from 3... and it can be after Suikoden III .....since most of the Suikoden seems to revolve more or less with Harmoinia I would think the "Nameless Lands" would at least have a combat and unite against. That is a bitchin map. Finally I can form a mental image of the Suikoden landscape.
On a random note I actually broke down and got a PS3 on ebay.
(Ready for MGS4) If they announce Suikoden 6 as an Xbox 360 exclusive I'll go apeshit.

My god that map is HUGE O.O!!
Judging from the places that are already mapped out, I bet 6 will take place in Toran or Nameless lands lol. I don't really want to see New Armes or Nagarea XD And what is that piece of land all the way to the right? That white blank space, don't tell me more undiscovered continents >.<;

I do not know about that continent I just found it -.- I only follow it because it looks accurate enough with the series thus far lol!(not sure about 4 though)
But it did at least give us a mental image of everything as we all should know
Toran is South of Dunan, Dunan is between Harmonia and Toran. Tinto is west of Dunan.
Grassland borders Zexen and parts of Harmonia-grasslands, namelesslands are north of Zexen and Grasslands. Thats really the basic picture I get without the map but the map makes everything a lot clearer.
