Sibalto watched her in awe, dazzled by her wild beauty. She was lovely, and free... And his.. His mate, his entire life.. He reared and whinnied a challenge, leaping after her. She would lead, and he would follow...
"I'll do more than try, my Lady." He called with a laugh.
Powerful muscles bunched and slid beneath a silken coat. He moved through the water with little trouble, great waves parting as his body cut through the water like a silver ship. He leapt high and came down with a splash, hoping to soak Firefly's departing haunches.

Letting out a loud whinny of glee, she continued to race along as he followed. The waves he splashed upward touching her haunches only drove her to move faster. With one elegant leap, she launched herself out of the water. Landing quickly onto the shore and whipping around so that she would be facing him once he followed. Her tail and knees raised high as she cantered in place.

Sibalto grinned and pinned an ear, an expression of determination on his face. He fought the urge to grin and gathered himself. Giving a final galloping leap of a stride, he soared over a final wave from his mate and skidded to stop in the shallows. She stood on the bank, prancing in ebony glory, water streaming from her... She was beautiful. He nearly sat on his haunches and reared, nipping at her playfully. He rubbed his nose against her silken muzzle, laughed, and nipped at her again.

She giggled softly as pieces of her mane that were soaked clung to her slender neck and face. Her tail flicking back and forth as she tried to dry it a bit so that no dirt would stick. Washing dirt out was a tough job sometimes, especially if it was dried in. As he nipped at her, she nipped back. Catching bits of his mane inbetween her teeth and giving them playful tugs inbetween nuzzling his nose and cheeks.

With a sideways hop, Sibalto managed to land a n** to Firefly's side, and pawed the air beside her as he chuckled. Sibalto planted his hooves on the bank and nipped playfully at Firefly's neck, muzzle, cheeks and shoulders... He nuzzled her when he got close enough, and huffed at her delicate ears, playfully tugging on her forelock.
"Give up, my love?" He teased.

"Mmmmmm...for now. I'm tired of running away and playing hard to get." She gave a cheeky grin as her ears flicked from his breath. Closing her eyes for a moment, she releshed in his closeness. "Sometimes it's better to give up for the time being so you can be close to the one you love." Opening her eyes half way, she nuzzled his neck before putting her head under his chin. Her tail moving back and forth lazily as she listened to his heart beat.

Listening to her, the silver stallion sighed happily and nibbled at her mane for a moment. Sib grinned and gave her a gentle nudge, surging onto the bank the rest of the way. He rumbled happily and arched his neck over her's, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"I am so glad you are tired of playing hard to get." He grinned, rubbing his cheek against her shoulder. "And I am all too happy to be close to you, my lady."

Another soft giggle escaped her lips as she nuzzled his chest. "I'd rather just be here with you then fleeing the scene." The warmth of the sun had started to make her a bit tired. And that run had taken a lot of energy out of her to the point where she started to feel a bit lazy. So she leaned more against him, letting out a soft sigh. Her tail had stopped moving by now as her ears layed flat against her head, one giving an occasional twitch every now and then.

Sibalto chuckled and nibbled at her lazily flicking ears... She was sleepy, and for that matter, so was he... Perhaps they should take a nap before the head out to meet up with Firefly's two-legger...
He gave her a gently nuzzle.
"Firefly, come.. Let's at least get back to the clearing so you can lay down my love... Then you can rest..."

Firefly nodded and pulled herself out from underneath his chin. Her eyes were half lidded as she turned to head back to the clearing. A nap sounded like a good idea. And taking one next to Sib would make it all the better. "Ok. I could really use a nap after that run. Plus the sun is kind of making me a bit drowsy."

Sibalto strode beside her, allowing her to lean on him. He carefully shepherded her to the clearing, half cool shade, half dappled sunlight. The emerald grass was thick, and would make a perfect bed for two tired horses. A basket of apples and assorted snacks was tucked into one shaded corner, and Sibalto smiled.
"Tashika has even brought us a snack." He rumbled. "How about we lay down for a little while my dear... Then have a bit to eat before we go see your two-legger..."

Her dark red eyes looked at the basket of snacks and she nodded her head. "That sounds fine. I'm sure I'll be a bit hungry after a nap." Flicking her tail a couple times, she wandered over to a shady area not too far away. Tucking her legs underneath her body, she lowered herself onto the soft grass. Giving him a quick glance as she waited for him to join her. "And then we'll go see Atsila."

Sibalto nodded in agreement and tucked his legs beneath him, carefully laying beside her. He wrapped his tail around her haunches and rested his head on her back. A nap would be good for them both, and then they'd go see Atsila.. Yes.. That sounded perfect...
He yawned, nuzzled her ears. "Enjoy your nap, beloved..."

Curling her neck around, she managed to get her head against the base of his neck. She leaned against his body and closed her eyes, giving a soft yawn. Her own tail curling around his own haunches and intermingling with his. "And you enjoy your's, love." Her ears twitched softly before she started to drift off into sleep. A small smile on her lips as she slumbered.

Sibalto roused himself slowly, smiling as he found Firefly still curled against him. The lovely mare still slept deeply, but that was alright... He wasn't quite sure he wanted to move yet... More than happy to lay with her, he rested his head on her back again and sighed.
