New Question of the Week!
When was the first time you knew you liked/loved fantasy or medieval things? Do you remember?
I for one, can't really pinpoint the exact time but, I think it must have been ever since I was introduced to He-man and the masters of the universe. That concept is full of fantasy stuff so I knew I was gonna be playing with that through all of my childhood. mrgreen
Hey! Would you like a bonus for posting? Then throw 5 six sided dice and let's see how lucky you are by the time this week ends (which would be next monday after noon). If you are lucky, you get some gold from me.

I'm not sure. I started to love RPGs when a former friend's brother loaned me a game that I was then able to buy off him, Phantasy Star IV. I started to get into that kind of thing then.
I was always fascinated by medieval buildings, and my fanatical nature on them has grown and grown. I'm now obsessed with galleons/tall ships aswell.

Cool! I like boats but I'm not fascinated by them.
So Mel, that Phantasy Star IV you played, was it like Phantasy Star Online for the cube?

Probably none knowing me. I don't remember off the top of my head really.
I know a few though:
King Arther Braveheart Interview with the vampire (started out old so it counts.) Man in the iron mask Gladiator and that is all I can think of right now.

Cool!
Newest question for the week!
Is there an epic movie from the fantasy genre that you can't get enough of watching? Which one is it?
I don't think there is one for me yet however... Not unless you count Star Wars episode 5 and that's not pure fantasy so, no...

Since I'm not a big movie person in general I'd have to say no.

Mandy, Braveheart, Gladiator, Man in the Iron Mask and such are not fantasy films. They are historical films. They do not come under the fantasy genre at all apart from fantasy's connection with history. They are wholeheartedly historical and there is nothing to do with fantasy about them.
Interview with the Vampire is also historical, but it very slightly falls into fantasy because of the mythology and legends of vampires. I would put it under fantasy as well as historical though.
Fantasy films: * The Neverending Story. * Conan the Barbarian (with Arnie, don't know the name of the other one). * The Dark Crystal. * Prince Valiant (the film, not the cartoon). * King Arthur (I'm thinking of the version with Sean Connery). * 13th Warrior. * The Lord of the Rings (obviously the new ones). * Pirates of the Caribbean (fantasy as well as historical). * Cutthroat Island (also fantasy as well as historical). * Dungeons and Dragons. * The Labyrinth (with David Bowie).
The more historical ones I think of are: * Gladiator (as Mandy mentioned, but it's 100% historical). * Braveheart (also as Mandy mentioned, but again 100% historical). * Last of the Mohicans. * The Three Musketeers (starring Charlie Sheen, man that film is good and ridiculously funny). * Troy. * Alexander (Aint seen it yet). * Kingdom of Heaven (Aint seen it yet).

DM_Melkhar * King Arthur (I'm thinking of the version with Sean Connery).
Are you thinking of First Knight? Sean Connery as King Arthur, Richard Gere as Lancelot, and Julia Ormond...
I have First Knight and I enjoy that one.
