Dining Room

Deciding that he was better off listening to Elizabeth, Sora smiled at the pretty woman and looked for a seat as well.

"Come and have breakfast with us too, Elizabeth!" Sora responded warmly. "You too, Kairi, Will."

The need for sleep was pushed to the back of his mind as he gazed at all the wonderful dishes that had been set in front of them. There was chicken, ham, sausages, eggs....

Man, this was the best sort of breakfast he'd ever seen in a long, long time!

Delighted at the massive amount of dishes that were laid before him, Sora nodded to everyone else as a gesture of politeness before digging in, his stomach already demanding lots and lots of food to fill it up.

Kairi nodded and sat down at the table, placing a napkin on her lap. She had to keep in mind that Elizabeth was high class...so she would try to have perfect table manners.

The princess smiled at Elizabeth, "Thank you for everything, Miss...we really appriciate it, really." Elizabeth barely knew them...well, she knew Sora, but the rest of them were practically strangers, and yet she was housing them and giving them food.

It was good knowing there were still nice people in the worlds.

Will took his seat next to Elizabeth, a bit surprised and...strangely worried. Normally Elizabeth would ask where he was, he would never say it aloud, let alone think it...but she was rather nosey at times.

He shifted uncomfortably in his chair, maybe she was just prolonging it...? Maybe she would pop the questions later...and maybe...she'd be mad.

Swallowing hard at the thought, he ate his breakfast; trying the best he could to give off a fake calm.

It wasn't working.

Port Royal - Docks/Copter

Well if this wasn’t one helluva mess? The Turk frowned, turning to head into the copter. If anything, he could wait for Tseng, Elena Rufus to get their asses into gear since there was nothing left in this world anyway. They’d have to pick up Marina and possibly Vin.

What was weird was the reappearance of the Heartless guy on the message board. Cards? That sent you do different worlds? Thanks but no thanks. He’d stick with good ol’ fashioned technology. Magic screwed him over too much in the past.

Just as Reno entered the cockpit, the sound of electric static filtered through the speakers. Sighing, he took a seat and grabbed the transmitter.

“Yeah? It’s Reno. What’s going on?”

”………. Heartless….. overrun… help…. dying… too many…”

With a snap, Reno turned off the receiver muttering something along the lines of “Yeah yeah yeah…” He stood and stuck his head out of the copter’s door shouting, ”Hey! Get your asses in here! We need to head back to the Planet!”

Port Royal--Docks/Near Copter

Elena was surprised when Rufus wrapped his arms around her, but she had to admit...she did feel better. Especially after talking to him on-line. "Th-thank you, S-..." she caught herself in time, "Rufus...I think I'm alright now."

Well, he didn't scold her for running off upset like that...which was good. She just worried about what Tseng would say when they got back. Biting a lip at the thought, she wondered if she should just get up or wait for Rufus to remove his arms. Elena knew, that in the very back of her mind...she was happy he had come after her, and happy that he comforted her.

Here, she had ran off because the scene with Sora and Kairi briefly reminded her that Tseng would never love her but...maybe she was getting over it...faster then she thought.

After a few minutes, Elena finally spoke again, clearing her throat a bit...removing all nervousness. "Rufus...I...I think we should get back to where the others are...they might be ready to leave." she carefully removed his arms, holding onto one hand without her realizing it.

When she began to walk towards the Copter, and felt a slight tug as Rufus was dragged along, she realized it and quickly withdrew her hand.

"S-Sorry!"

Well. That was polite.

Casting an acidic look in the redhead's general direction even as he watched Rufus with Elena, Tseng knew that Reno was right. They had to get Marina and probably Vincent and head back to Gaia. There was nothing they could find here, which meant that they were most likely on their own.

Not that he minded, really. He liked depending on himself as it was, anyway.

Deciding not to intrude on both his boss's and his subordinate's privacy, Tseng merely made his way back to the copter, a hand idly fiddling at his cufflinks before he entered the aircraft. He knew that with Reno's voice, the other two probably heard him, which meant that he didn't have to repeat what Reno had announced.

"We'll go to the Pridelands first," Tseng murmured as he settled into his seat. Under ordinary circumstances, the Turk Commander would have frowned upon such blatant display of affection, especially coming from a Turk who was still on active duty, but he was known for his occasional exceptions. This was probably one of them.

Elena had proven to be a resourceful rookie, and despite her numerous flaws and mistakes, Tseng trusted her with the President's life. Hence, the current decision to leave first. Besides, space was needed in the copter for the other two they were about to pick up, after all.

Namine shifted over to her other side, and winced as she felt a spasm shoot up her arm as she flexed her fingers. The tingling feeling, a clear indication that she'd laid for too long on that particular body part, spread and she inhaled deeply, exhaled loudly, her eyes focused on the ceiling above.

She tilted her head to one side to check if Kairi was still beside her, but the space was empty except for the indentation on the matress. Reaching out with her free hand she noted that there was still a measure of warmth left over.

She hasn't been gone long. She thought and stood, the pins and needles sensation of her arm falling away now like the sleep from her eyes. She took in her surroundings and sat on the edge of the bed, one hand coming up to press the heel over her palm against one closed eye.

It took her a few minutes, but when she finally got her bearings straigh, she stood, ran her fingers through her hair to comb back the disheveled blonde locks and inched her way towards the door. Her fingers gripped the door's handle competently and she opened it to the smell of food.

Her stomach grumbled but she bit down on her lower lip and walked out from one room and into the next to see Kairi at the table and Miss Elizabeth seeing to dinner.

"Uh..." her voice sounded scratchy so she cleared it as softly as she could (though obviously not softly enough), "I'm sorry I took awhile." She offered her sheepish smile to everyone present and made her way to the nearest empty seat.

OOC: GUYS! So sorry for being out of commission for the longest time. ;o; RL stuff caught up with me and the game kind of ran away on it's own... it's not really an excuse, but I'm back now and I hope you guys can forgive me.... <3

Dining Table

Trying -- and failing -- to not look like a walking famine, Sora took a moment's reprieve from shovelling food in his mouth with unbridled enthusiasm to give Namine a cheerful wave. She had been quiet lately, and even though Sora didn't quite remember very many things about her - he felt like he should, though - he knew that the blonde girl was Kairi's Nobody, and that she was pretty decent. And more importantly, Roxas liked her.

Not being one who was overly nosy, he nodded and said a bright "Good morning" before going back to his food. Hey, he was a sixteen year old boy after all, and they needed plenty of nutrition, like cookies and various fattening breakfast foods that his mother would definitely put a ban on, especially if she knew that he was ingesting said foods with the tenacity of a bear that was preparing for a long winter's worth of hibernation.

OOC: Welcome back, Noey! We missed you!! heart heart

Docks, on the way back to the choppppperrrrr

Calm. He felt calm, peaceful, tranquil--- whatever other synonym you wanted to peg on. It was probably the first time since being President that he felt so at peace. Rufus figured it had to do something with the petite blonde that was currently in his arms but... who knew?

"Mmm. Good idea." He didn't really want to move right now but of course, duty called. His arms dropped to his sides, well, aside from the one who's hand was still in Elena's grasp, as he started walking behind her. A flicker of disappointment passed across his expression when she withdrew said hand and began apologizing. The blonde shook his head-- she was always apologizing for things she didn't need to apologize for.

"It's fine, Elena." With that, he carefully cupped her hand again, amazed at how small it was. Just another detail to add to the list. The blonde let her lead until they got back, blue eyes carefully scanning the surroundings (and well, the curves of the person in front of him.) Once there, his hand subtly dropped from hers, even though fingers still ghosted across the top of her hand.

"Tseng, what world is first? I'm assuming Pride Lands... to pick up our... more furry accomplices." A smirk just barely curled the end of his lip. Imagining the fiery Em and the brooding Vincent as lions would always be exceedingly entertaining.

Tseng simply nodded in reply to Rufus' question, recognizing the faint smirk on his boss's features. He was most probably thinking of the two of them as lions and having a quiet laugh about it all.

Though, come to think of it, it was pretty amusing, especially for Marina, but he sure as hell was not going to say anything to anyone else about it, much less about his occasional jibe about 'mating season' - although that seemed to encourage her more than anything.

"We're going to the Pridelands, sir," the Wutaian murmured evenly, his fingers fiddling with his cufflinks absently. "Would you like to take the other copter?" You know Marina and Elena don't get along very well."

Okay, maybe that was a mild lie, because Marina didn't seem to be as antagonistic to Elena as she was to Reno, but then again, maybe it was all in his imagination.

Women were strange creatures, and he had long given up on trying to understand their ways. Even then, the real reason for the question was that Tseng knew Rufus had an interest in the rookie, and it would do his subordinate some good if she had some alone time with Rufus.

Near Copter

Elena tilted her head slightly. Tseng had told her and Rufus to take the other copter, not that she minded...but she thought she got along with Marina pretty well. It was her sister she didn't like.

Oh, well. She wasn't going to complain.

With a nod, she took Rufus' hand again and walked with him to the other copter. Elena had noticed him hold her hand again after she pulled it away before. She smiled lightly at the thought, the fact that she liked her boss finally settled in. Though it seemed, she didn't have to worry about him not liking her back.

Wow, she amazed herself at how childish she could be at times.

Once they reached the copter, she turned back to Tseng, "Sir? Do you want us to accompany you and Reno to the Pride Lands...? Or go back to Edge?"

Dining Table

A soft giggle escaped her and one hand lifted to her mouth -- an unconscious mannerism that seemed to do well on it's own. Her eyes turned to Roxas and she offered him a shyer smile before her attention was once again turned away towards the food and drink that were being passed her way.

She watched them all, lifting her own little shovels of food to her lips. Save for the sound of Sora all but gulping down his food, there wasn't much noise at the table -- yet. She looked at Miss Elizabeth and quietly admired the classic beauty that emanated from her. The woman had been so nice to them and Namine couldn't help but wonder if people like this had come into her life before. Probably not though, when she thought about it.

Her thought wandered back a bit to one of the many incidents well before this. Hello, witch. Broken any memory strands today? Destroyed anyone's lives through the memories of others?

Spearing a piece of her breakfast with her fork she looked up and covertly checked the other faces at the table, in the hopes of distracting herself from the memory.

The sight of Roxas made her smile. She seemed to be doing that a lot around him. Uh-oh, came to mind, but she shook it way inwardly. And then there was Sir Will. She frowned at the tall young man at the end of the table who seemed to look worried and before she could stop it, her mouth and her questions ran ahead of her.

"Is something wrong?"

Nosy. The word floated and bounced around in her head.

She turned her eyes back down to the food and hoped that her voice had been too soft to be noticed. The chances of that though, were rather slim.

OOC: biggrin D hee~! *huggles* It's great to be back. Am still catching up majorly to most of the stuff I've missed, but I'm slowly integrating these into Namine and her thoughts. If something isn't quite right, call me on it guys, okay? Will edit as necessary. heart

"Sir? Do you want us to accompany you and Reno to the Pride Lands...? Or go back to Edge?"

That was a very good question. From what he'd seen on the webs, it seemed like Gaia was now overrun with Heartless, and as secure as he was about the abilities of his rookie Turk - despite everything, Tseng knew that she was more than capable of holding her own - he knew that she was far from invincible, and a good tactician knew not to plunge headlong into danger with all the recklessness of a stupidly brave hero.

A second's pause, and Tseng simply replied, his smooth tone not losing it's trademark calm. "We'll go to the Pridelands together." If he wasn't wrong, Edge was most likely a hellhole right at the moment, and they needed everyone they could possibly gather to find a way to defeat the damnable Heartless.

Entering the craft after giving Elena a faint nod, he made no comment to the way she held Rufus' hand again as he spoke quietly before shutting the door to the copter. "Take care of the President."

OOC: *LOVES ON YOU MUCHLY* Muaha, yusss~~~ We will, but dang, you are doing a fantastic job of getting back in that I don't think any of us are gonna complain, anyway >D Man I'm so happy you're baaaack~~~ *dances victory dance* <3

Dining Table

Unlike Sora, Roxas ate his meal at a moderate and easy pace. He did, however, eye his brother over wearily as he continued to shovel as much food as possible in his mouth. To the occupants at the table (or at least Roxas), it looked as if Sora was trying to break the worlds’ fastest eating record. At least he was eating now. Who knew how bad he’d get if he had gone to sleep first?

Then the Roxas stopped completely as Namine walked into the room just after waking from a night’s rest. That night… He was truly glad that his fight with Aros had not turned into the full blown disaster that his heart expected. He couldn’t even bear to see Namine before then. All he could think was what would happen to her if he failed… How he would leave her behind with Aros to do as he pleased…

”Is something wrong?”

Namine was sharp. Roxas wanted to kick himself for making her worry. He didn’t want to burden her with his troubled thoughts, especially ones that he should have moved on from.

Removing his look of worry and exchanging it with a smile, he smiled, “No! Nothing! I’m fine, Namine. Thanks though.”

He paused and glanced over at Sora and the others. They really were going to have to leave them and for how long, he didn’t know. There was that possibility that they would never see these people again if disaster awaited them within the World That Never Was. If that was what awaited them, then Roxas wanted to remember this moment for as long as they could. Here, everyone was happy and enjoying a meal with those they loved… that was something he never wanted to forget.

Subconsciously, a hand slipped into his pants pocket, fingers sliding over the card: the key to other worlds.

They would have to leave and soon.

Copter

Reno merely sat back, watching as everyone oh so slowly loaded into the copters. He closed the hatch behind Tseng and took his seat in the pilot’s seat. This time, Rufus would not be joining him. Instead, he joined Elena on the other copter. Silently, Reno grinned to himself. ’Lucky stiff.’

Starting the copter and quickly rising out of the atmosphere of Port Royal, Reno turned to Tseng. “So, we’re heading to the Pride Lands to pick up Vin and M&M, right?” The two have been there for quite some time now and Reno looked forward to the prospect of making fun of Marina. A lion? HA. That has to be good.

“Oh hey, Tseng.” Reno continued. “What about that Lucrecia chick? Vin’s going to want her to come along so we might as well pick her up. We could send a transmission to Rufus with the idea, yo.”

((Time to move to the Pride Lands. >D))
