The Dictatorship of Mufffinworld is a small, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its burgeoning fox population. Its compassionate, cynical population of 10 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.
The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Public Transport, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 33%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.
Married couples must call each other "darling" or risk a fine, cars are banned, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, and citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Mufffinworld's national animal is the fox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the air.
Mufffinworld is ranked 9th in the region and 24,680th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens.

Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 62 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Social Equality. The average income tax rate is 76%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.
Torture is commonly used to extract information from suspected criminals, homeless people are periodically found dead upon altars to assorted deities, wildlife near farms is slowly becoming extinct, and major archaeological findings are frequently bulldozed to make way for new buildings. I treat my people as little playthings and they still have compassion. My country should be in the 30's not #23. XD
