Ruby inched away from the shot not wanting the pain killer to interfere with her healing powers, which when they finally kicked in would take care of the wounds pretty fast. She also was a little bit tentative with painkillers, since her past adiction to heroine. "Nah, thanks, I'd rather go without." Ruby pushed the needle away with her good hand. Her eyes widened as Arch attacked, and she held Aaron close. "Arch?! Sug, what's goin' on?"
((Sorry, Lu, I know you really wanted it to work, but I just can't kill her off like that, not without a fight. She's got herself mostly healed up, and in general it woudln't be a fair move if used on someone else's character either. Besides that, you totally didn't give me any oppurtunity to react or say no to the shot. Anyway, Ruby was pretty adamant against it, and I know Arch would shoot me if I let Ruby die like that.))

The Doctor attempted to block the attack. He shouted, and ran out the door. Once outside, he vanished and left the hospital.

Ruby watched the doctor run, "Arch, it's all right sug. I ain't hurt, let 'im go. I'll be needin' your help with the fingers, anyhow." She started unwrapping the bandages on her hand, wincing gently. "I s'pose we can deal with him later, just don't leave me, sug, please."

Ruby wiggled her fingers, having healed the base of the hand as well "they'll be all right, once they warm up," she reached over and poked him with the fingers, and smiled.
She turned back to Aaron, pulling his hands away from the buttons that controlled the bed and handing him the tv remote instead, giving his busy hands something to do, and gave him a quick kiss on the top of his curly head.
She glanced back to Arch, "so what was with the dead body in the bus an' all, sug, wouldn't you have categorized that as kinda gross?"
