rant: People who aren't faithful and trusting should just be a prositute. So many people are hurt because they cheat on them and their failure to dump their previous relationship.

aino10shi rant: People who aren't faithful and trusting should just be a prositute. So many people are hurt because they cheat on them and their failure to dump their previous relationship. I generally agree. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why the cheater can't be bothered to take a 2 minute call and break up with their significant other before the cheating occurs. Honestly I would much rather be treated in that way because I see it as the less heart breaking option of the two.

They want the secure calm (dare I say, boring?) stable relationship, but then they also want the exciting passionate one. And instead of putting the effort in to make the stable one passionate as well (we all know that passion, if not carefully and lovingly tended, tends to peeter out in a long term relationship), they would rather just take the "easy way." I just can't see an excuse for cheating. I mean, I'm fine with relationships just dying out and the need to seek out something new, but for god's sake! Break off the old one first! And then there's the people who seem not to mind being cheated on. The people who will cry and cry, but then just turn around and forgive no matter how many times their partner cheats on them. It just annoys me to no end. They just keep making excuses like "oh, they've only cheated on my twelve times! They can still change!" or, worst of all "it must have been my fault. Something was wrong with me that made my partner cheat on me!" But bugging me even more than THAT are the people who cheat and then blame their partner for it. Like "you drove me away" or "you are too busy for me." This whole cheating thing... omg... And yet so many people do it!! I read somewhere that 20% of all children born in the US to married couples are not fathered by the husband (statistic, we all know how statistics are). Can you believe that? 20%! Crazy people, my god. Ok ok, rant over biggrin

Hmm...
I have lots of thigns to rant and rave about. surprised
Well, I really think that abortion is wrong unless they were on birth control or used condoms and that didn't work. Or if they were raped.
But seriously. I've been learning in science class that the abortion takes place after some of the vital organs have already been forming, like the heart.
And, yes, I do believe that as soon as the person becoms impregnated it is alive.
Once the sperm penetrates the egg, they have the potential to become into a human being. Eveyrthing they need is there. They are alive.
And it really, really bothers me to think of all those children that could have been killed. Or even that some of my friends could not even be in this world.
"God gave us someone who could cure cancer, but he got aborted."
But that's just me.

What makes me mad is when people profess that a fetus is living and it's murder and all that jazz, and then goes off on a list of exceptions that somehow justify killing it. If you're going to be pro-life and you don't like the idea of murdering the unborn, then stop giving an "out" for rape and failed contraceptives. If it's human, it's going to be human and just as deserving of rights as any other fetus, regardless of how it was conceived. There are people in this guild who have kept rape pregnancies, and there are people who have kept pregnancies from "accidental" condom breaks or birth control failing. Please don't sit there and say "Oh, it's awful" and then go on and condone it for certain reasons. That's just like saying "Children really shouldn't be abused.....except for those who really deserve it."

Target: People that wonder what went wrong when their affection doesn't straighten out their lover.
"Oh! This person does drugs, but they seem sorta neat! Let's see if a few nights of sex won't unaddict them."
People can rarely save the ones they love that way. It's sad, and ruins many would-be great romance novels, but it's true. I think an article in a magazine I read last month summed it up nicely. "They will not change, your love cannot save them, and they will drag you down with them."
There are hospitals designed for certain situations.

But, for those that do believe it's right, I would think even then those would be the only reasons that would be valid. If that makes sense...?

I'm so pissed off. My professor has been in Korea for the past three weeks when I've been needing help on my essay (20 page essay for senior seminar), and now he wants to tell us that it's due on FRIDAY.
I am seeing red.
Also, my TA isn't giving me fair grades on my papers. I think it's because I complained to the professor about her control-happy methods, going so far as to make us take a quiz on how well we memorized each other's names. Like that has anything to do with EDUCATION!?!
Grar. I feel like a ball of anger. With fangs....

Right. So. I know this girl, not too well, but I've been to her house once, hung out with a her on a few other occasions...casual relationship. She'd been dating this guy (I never met him) three years older than she was, strong, handsome, blah blah blah.
She got pregnant. Then went to prom with my friend's boyfriend. Neither I nor my friend were pleased (interestingly, I never heard a peep from the baby daddy). Well, the more I learn about this baby, the more I feel so, so sorry for it.
First! Mom's 16. Is hardly a virgin. Has condoms spilling out of every crevasse of her room. USED NONE OF THEM. Yes, she got pregnant a'purpose. Alcoholic Grandma says that Mommy can keep the baby IF she marries Daddy (who's 19). There's a stable family, if ever I heard one.
So she does. Mommy marries Daddy, and what does Daddy do? Promptly ships out to join the Navy. Admirable, but you now have a pregnant wife. Couldn't it wait? I don't know how Navy recruitment works, but couldn't it?
Now it's Mom's senior year. She leaves Baby in care of the Alcoholic Grandma and decides she's going to return to finish up and graduate. She then decides that "Hey, prom was so much fun last year, I'm going to go again. But prom sucks if there's no one to screw." So, she divorces Daddy. While he's training in Florida.
I really...really want to take her and shake her by the shoulders. Possibly something a touch more. Is no one thinking of the baby? Obviously not. It's him I feel sorry for.

*adds her own rant* Online classes are freaking FRUSTRATING stressed I've had so many complications with them that basically, I have no way of passing now, and I've been stressing about that, and then my period is LATE, either due to stress or the one in a millionbillion chance I got pregnant from messing around with my boyfriend [no sex, I made a post in the pregnancy subforum in the one official pregnancy experience thread] and my sister has had unprotected sex, no pills or anything AND HASN'T GOTTEN PREGNANT, and I'm worried I might be and I never even had sex stressed I'm assuming now it's just "sympathetic pregnancy" because I didn't start to have symptoms until I thought I had my period, then didn't, and started worrying about being pregnant even though I had a normal period two days after the messing around stuff. Oh, and my stupid dog wanted to play with me earlier and got rough and ended up scratching my arms and sides.

rant: I'm tired of seeing under-dressed children everywhere I go. Seriously...I took my baby niece to the mall to get her a new Build A Bear for doing well in her school play. We walk in and there are these elementary kids walking around looking like dwarf-like skanks! scream Put some clothes on! xp
I don't care how you dress when you're older but for the love of all that is holy...cover yourself! And for the people who tell me, "just don't look at them" its hard NOT to when they're EVERYWHERE! My niece was playing with this girl who looked like she was wearing a low v-neck that showed off her stomach and a pair of short shorts that I mistook for funny looking underwear...and she was only, what? 10?!?!? I could have killed her mother.
It's little wonder why kids are getting kidnapped these days! They're all dressing out for sex clubs! I know some outfits older teens wear these days (I'm guilty b/c I wear them too when I go out to party) but it's not suitable for everyday life for a young child! What am I suppose to tell my 4 year old niece when she asks if I would buy her a pair of daisy dukes?
I said the first thing that came to my mind : "I'm sorry, but I'm a guardian that doesn't want you looking like a 50 cent crack whore. Wait till you're older" just to piss off the lady buying her kid the pair. Yeah...my niece didn't get it but I was too damn disgusted to care.
Little girls should wear outfits and cover them. LIttle boys should not wear pants that show their boxers and, for God's sake, stop selling thongs to the younger crowd!
sweatdrop Rant over.
