It is the robe, hiding any form of reference on you, and lack of detail and color. As he said, he isn't done yet. Color should make a big difference to it if he plains on adding the shading with color.

I am a better colorist than inker, honestly. I can make the textures, hues, and shading quite nicely, in my opinion. I really love doing the hair. So yes, I do plan to do a decent coloring job, and I plan to use the golden rectangle system.

 I only have Photoshop Elements, sadly. I did this image all on the computer, but I would call the simple lines "inking" for the purpose of description. Well, this is the portrait of Jhovam. Nice guy, timid, average looking. The hardest part of this was finding the right shade of dark blond for his hair, so I am content with what I have.

Hmmm, maybe I should just let my character have a normal bow, like every other hunter.......That bowgun looks a little to big for normal hunting, and I dont think you said anything about wyverns or other large mystical beasts. I want something that would compliment his increased speed.....but just dont know what to do. It should be light, and I was thinking of a two weapon style.

O contrare (sp) there are such beasts rofl That's why I said it was fine if he had a special bow. You might want to go for strength rather than many arrows, though. I dont know. I'm not a bowmen. Most of the mystical beasts that could crop up havent yet. Actually I am about to introduce one. Thing is that most of them live most comfortably in the forests, where most of the RP isnt. If you want to bring in a creature like that, that would be great! Do that however you like. Anything related to the dragons of TOK should be relatively small, though, so that the TOK dragons remain impressive when they appear in this world. However other types of beasts can be just as big if the occasion comes up-- if they had somewhere to be living any way.

Well if THATS the case, then I'm keeping my weapon biggrin , maybe my tribe learns to hunt these prey?....hmmm
(Edit: actually if you wanted to post such a creature entering the thread, wounded of coarse.....I could easily crash into the group.)

Hey, Penden, do you have a description of the character that rode the horse with Tesunie? I could use any information on her so as to draw her into the scene. I did tell you I wasn't done with the picture when I posted that one. 3nodding

Her name is Lae, an NPC of which only this has been said appearance wise:
"A lady with copper colored skin slunk down the stairs confidently."

Ack, I don't like me Jhovam image. I am going to re-do the nose. It'll look better. 3nodding Also, I'll finish the entire body. EDIT: I fixed Jhovam's nose, and then applied the proper shape to the head based on the angle, much better in my opinion.

I was going to say the nose was off, but didn't want to discourage you with it. I can get too nit-picky sometimes, so I normally just stay silent. sweatdrop

Tesunie, I have a question for you that I can't seem to figure out.
Why does your character have healing magic? The magic men come from the south, and they don't have blond hair and blue eyes. Those that do come from the north, and the men don't have the magic. But he has darker skin, which is Feretris-Tribal hue. He isn't bonded to a dragon.
How does that work?

Weird genetic quark. He actually has the Feretris magic, though only for healing. He isn't very strong with it either.
Consider it something like a frog with three back legs. Not suppose to happen, but does all the time.
(I'm a freak of nature! A mutant! crying )
Also has magic potential with tribal magic from the plains. Not sure yet, kind of figuring things out as I go. I at least have his history all figured out, just need to finish playing that out. mrgreen
