She looked up at the sky, trying to figure out what time it is.

Kai's squad arrived at the training grounds as Sayuri asked. "Quarter to one." Kai's teammate said.
"The battle will start soon. Here. I'll replenish your chakra." Taki said. Her hands glowed blue as she replenished Sayuri's chakra.

As her chakra, replenished, Sayuri looked at Kai's squad, mainly at Kai.
"Well, guess it's time." she thought

At exactly one, a gust of mist blew across the training field. "I will be your judge." was heard, and the Mizukage herself stood on the field. "Begin!" she said.
Kai took his fighting posture. A kunai was held in his left hand, and 3 senbon in the other. He waited for Sayuri to make the first strike.

Sayuri, focused and ready, took out her shuriken.
"Let's get this started!" she said, as she threw the shuriken.

Kai threw one senbon, which effectively stopped the shuriken. He threw another senbon, which closed in on Sayuri. He did a couple of hand seals and said, "Senbon multiplication tecnique!" The single needle multiplied into many, surronding Sayuri from all directions, coming closer to her.
"You show her, Kai!" his teammate squealed. Kai threw the last needle in his had at his teammate, purposely missing her by so little that she could feel the air fly past her, effectively shutting her up.
Mizu stifled a giggle at the teammate's terrified expression. Kai reached into his weapons holster, and pulled out three more needles.

Sayuri looked around her surrondings. Nothing but senbon surrounded her.
She disappeared from her spot and reappeared between two trees near Kai.
"I need to think of a strategy! Wait! I know!
Water clone jutsu!"
Sayuri made five clones and charged at Kai.

"Genjutsu dispell!" Kai said almost immediately. "Since you obviously didn't know that when you face up against a genjutsu specialist, the Mizu bushin no jutsu is a primitive genjutsu. It obvious which one is you." The senbon that were positioned where Sayuri was turne back into one needle, which Kai caught in his hand. "Glacier freeze!" Kai called, after doing a couple of hand signs. The trees, earth, everything seemed to bind around Sayuri in her mind. It all froze, leaving her as what seemed to be completely frozen in a glacier.

"Oh no...I'm frozen!" Sayuri thought "This has to be a genjutsu!"
Everything seems to bind around her. She couldn't move.
"I...won't give up!" she thought, breathing heavily. "I'll beat you, just you wait!"
Sayuri, still breathing in and out, stated tasting something stale,
but it wasn't hickory this time.
"Dirt? Maybe in the real world, the wind is softly blowing the dirt in the field. Okay, I'll focus on that."
Sayuri focused her chakra on the dirt.
"Genjutsu...release!" she called

Sayuri broke through the glacier freeze genjutsu, just to fall into another. This time, she was on a frozen lake, then fell into the lake.

Sayuri sighed.
"Not again, I had enough trouble going throught the last one. Man...
Kai really is good.
Sayuri was in the lake, thinking. Everything she learned from Tsuki-sensei, and from her parents, who taught her her only genjutsu.
"You can make objects out of chakra, and to escape from a genjutsu you have to attack the weakest part of your chakra. Kai's genjutsu, I think, works on sight, so I have to block that sense."
Sayuri closed her eyes and concentrated. She still breathed in and out.
"The wind is still blowing, I can still tatse dirt. When this is all over, I'm getting ten bottles of water! Okay Sayuri, concentrate."
Sayuri focused on the dirt in the real world, again. She kept her sight sense blocked.
"Okay, this is going to take a lot, but I'll give it a try, focus on the weakest point."
Sayuri gave it another try, still with her eyes shut.
"Genjutsu release!" she called

"That's not gonna work; you're underwater. Trying a verbal release will only make you lose the bit of oxygen you have left. You are in water." Kai said, his face, obviously a fake, appearing before Sayuri with a smik dancing across it.

"Rub it in, why don't you? But thanks for the tip." Sayuri thought, obviously not smiling.
Sayuri stared up at the surface, which was blocked by ice in the genjutsu.
"How can I get out of here...I never got the time to ask Tsuki-sensei if you can use images with your chakra on a genjutsu you're trapped in..."
Sayuri hit the ice, it was hard.
"Maybe I can break the ice."
Sayuri moved her arms and swam in in a circle motion, she kept focusing on the blowing dirt though. Sayuri did some hand seals, and moved forward in high-speed, toward the ice hoping to break and escape.
"I hope this works!" she thought
