darth603 Kamiyu-Bidan As far as I understand it, the Outsider is somehow linked with the Tau.. Maybe to O'Shovah's blade?.. Im not familiar with the tau at all so please bear with me sweatdrop The Dragon is definately on Mars, probably in the *somethingoranother*-labyrinth/maze/place. The techies there modelled themselves after the machine god (The Dragon?), right? That'd be cool if the Dragon was just this massive alien cyborg blaugh \m/ Ah well, there's nothing but speculation at this point. confused The Dragon, or whatever its name is, sleeps on Mars in the Labrynthus Noctis. What nobody's sure about is how aligned to the Dragon the tech- priests really are. There's also rumors that the Deceiver is the patron of the Tau. The Tau have no warp signature, and their vessels only skim the border of the Warp when they go into hyperspace. The weapon O'shova carries does look somewhat Necron in design, plus the fact that it cuts like an underpowered Warscythe. The only question the above argument leaves is why Wraithguard (which are supposed to be unable to see in the same way normal creatures do and thence have to check for Wraithsight each turn) can see Tau at all... The Tau are irreligious, aren't they? How can they be decieved with no diety to be tricking them?

DarkElf27 ok then. BTW, rebooting doesnt work when you've been hit by an EMP wave. once again. The Necron are comprised of an unknown material, thousands of times stronger than Diamond coated Titanium with Type 2 Chobham plates... And that's the toughest we can currently make. The metal they're made of probably neutralises EMP... After all electro-magnetic energy is essentially harnessable into power, and as the C'Tan themselves are energy-based, surely it is not unreasonable to assume Necrons run on energies?

Yahiko_Meoshine Are C'Tans gods or something? not quite, energy-based life forms. They're immortal so long as they can find a supply of energy to live off of, and it also helps them heal wounds.

Ok, ladies and gentlemen! Lets open our Necron codexes to page 13. On the bottom of the page I quote:
" ... for example, using acid rounds instead of using poison rounds or altering the charge of agonisers to affect the Necron's power systems."
This leads me to believe that the Necs can suffer from some sort of EMP jolt, but perhaps some special kind of blast? Who knows..

How can they be decieved with no diety to be tricking them? I'd say they've been deceived many times- people keep wondering where the first Ethereals came from, its rumored that they were the result of Necron experimentation and that the first Ethereal was in fact the Deciever himself. After that deception, all he'd have to do is make sure to drop in as the correct Ethereal at the correct time for the Tau to keep doing his bidding... deceptively simple, no? @ Kamiyu-Bidan- I'm sure the Necrons can suffer from EMP bursts to a degree. Assuming they're within the limits of human technology is folly (as the Adeptus Mechanicus have found out)- its probable that all they'd have to do is restart and everything would be done. Besides, I don't think the 40K universe supports thermonuclear weaponry...

What I find funny about the Necron mod thing is that it looks like crons will be in the DoW expansion pack. Them or nids.
