I would too, if I used them regularly. As it stands, I have little use for them.
terminators are too weak and few to be any real use. Sure, they may stand up well to small arms fire, but they attract big guns more than land raiders do.

And cost less. That is what I use them for, A good distraction. As it stands, they are also good at ignoring some of the big guns too. I just do not use them, as I do not have My Dreadclaw yet, so it is pointless.

A while back I heard a rumor that an army rules varient was written up. Something about Orky Clan Rulez posted in White Dwarf #290 or something like that. Anyone know if there is any validity to that?

They come up with lots of rules for different armies in that magazine. Even Chaos Orks, and some other, less sensible lists.

Know what issue it was so I can go out and buy it?

No clue, I have only heard of it, not read it. From what I remember though, it was A VERY cool list, if somewhat unusual. Like I said though, I have only heard of it, so I do not know much of it, beyond that. I want that issue myself.

And thus the rumor mill continues v.v

Nope, not A rumor, there is one. I just have not had A chance to read it. See it, yes, read it, no. Anyway, look for it on GW's website, they might have it there.

Well which is it, seen or read? Your last two posts say different things. I'd have them here in this post, but I haven't bothered to learn how to do that yet and I'm new to this Forum thing. From what I could tell last time I checked Games-Workshop has nothing about it on their site for 40K stuff, tho White Dwarf's site did mention something to the effect of Ork Klans being published. Does anyone actually have a subscription and could check their issues for it??

Actually, I guess I should have specified. I have seen it, but have not had A chance to read it. I know it exists because I have seen it, but only have the word of someone else as to it's contents. For all I know, it chould have been A joke article, but I will check.

Here it is. I guess I was wrong, it was not in white dwarf.
Chaos Orks in Daemonhunters
By Grand Warlord Adrian Wood

Daemonhunters are not restricted to just fighting Chaos. There are all manner of foes throughout the galaxy that can merit the attentions of the Ordo Malleus. The Adversaries section of the Daemonhunters book offers gamers with any army the opportunity to get in on the action. In this article, Adrian 'Grand Warlord' Wood talks about how he began innocently enough by converting some mutated Orks and soon found himself in the clutches of Father Nurgle (easy enough to do, Nurgle is green after all)!

Converting Ork miniatures

I love converting miniatures and in particular I love modelling the bane of the Imperium, the green-skinned Orks. There are so many options on the Orks sprue for adding extra pieces of equipment to Ork models. This is before I need think about more intricate conversions, which are so easy to do in plastic.

Amongst my many Ork models is an Ork with two heads; he always raises comment from my foes. I had also used a huge arm from the Chaos Mutations sprue on an Ork on a warbike. It was with these models in mind that I began to consider making some mutant Orks, using the Chaos Mutations sprue.

The new Chaos Mutations sprue

I had really enjoyed assembling Chosen Chaos Warriors for my Warhammer Chaos army. The new Mutations sprue was a dream to use. I felt that the next stage would be for me to use the parts to mutate some Orks, who, incidentally, have a similar build to Chaos Warriors. Little did I know that this would culminate in 30+ insanely converted models! This also included a particularly strange metal conversion of an Ork Nob, made from Chaos Spawn parts.

Here's just a selection of my mutated Orks:

Painting

I wanted to make a feature of the warped nature of the conversions so I deliberately chose a contrasting colour to pick them out. Many of the mutations were painted with Dwarf Flesh to stand out from the rest of the model, which is typically painted Goblin Green. For some variety I painted some mutations, particularly the ones with huge arms, in green skin. This looked a bit more natural. I also picked out warts, buboes, etc, in Dwarf Flesh to make them stand out.

I copied it right of of GW's website, so it is reliable. If you want to find it yourself, do A Google Search for Chaos Orks. It needs to be an advanced search tough, as the other one gave me something like 500 results or more.

Currently putting the finishing touches on my Ork Fleet for Battlefleet Gothic, and I can't decide what to use to represent the Lance Batteries. The bit I was planning on using is simply too smooth looking to fit in with the rest of my Hulk (the Hulk is the only Ork ship with Lance Batteries). Any ideas on what might work? So far I have mostly been using mechano-bits from leftover Ork sprues.

*Yawn* It seems that Orcs are the race that is least played.

probably becuase they need to redo the codex.
or most of the guild is too lazy to paint orks.

Well, have you thought about using old bits from terrain? I am not sure of the size of hulks, so it might be A bad idea. Anyway, have you though about using some nits from other armies vessels? That is mostly what hulk are, from what I remember in the fluff.
