Asa's scowl lessened as he spoke, and she slowed her pace to match his. Now that she was away from Aya'tas, and more than a bit irritated with his Clan, she was more inclined to be kind to U'yosi. She sighed, raising her glance to look at her mate as she walked.
"He was, but his rivalry with Aya takes precedence over courtesy to other Clans," Asa said with a small grin. "It's silly, it really is." When not around Aya, these were her thoughts. But whenever he came near, all she wanted was for him to succeed. What was inside her head, creating these thoughts? She should be looking out for her pack, not falling in love with another lion.
"Have you seen Tsi?" Said the pale lioness, her blue eyes surveying the riverbank. It was where she had last seen Tsi, or close by it. Where was the cub?

"You're right, as always, cloud-marked one," U'yosi dipped his shaggy head slightly. "Tsi'hilu? I..." he frowned slightly, closing his mouth on the rebuke that she was with her all the time. But the past was not important now. What mattered was his daughter. He sniffed slightly at the pungent earth of the riverbank. "I have not seen her, Asa'nunu. But she must be around here somewhere," he stated, a worried expression crossing his dark face.
(( a)- I wonder what Asa'nunu was before she was the wounded wolf? Maybe we should ask dust :3 b) I think I've worked out why these two don't always get on. Asa'nunu dwells on the past; U'yosi prefers to ignore it. What do you think? smile ))

Asa nodded slightly, her eyes trailing over the land but not really looking for her daughter. Those blue orbs had once again turned inside in thought, though now her thoughts held a new idea. What would the clans do if she took Aya for her mate, instead of U'yosi.
But you are adu'lai, a small part of her mind replied. With a sigh, she nodded again to herself, now truly looking for Tsi. She was beginning to worry, as subconsiously she knew Tsi never strayed far from Asegi, and Asegi was over still greeting the other Clan.
He would be fine there, for now. Her first priority was finding Tsi, but her mind strayed as she gazed at the riverbank ahead. Some part of her was utterly horrified she would even think to abandon U'yosi, but Asa also wanted what she wanted. And that was Aya.
((Dust sent me some info on Asa, would you like to see Kel-chan? =3 It explains about how U'yosi and Asa became mates as well. And I think you hit something right there, that U'yosi likes to ignore the past when that's the one thing Asa thinks of all the time.))

U'yosi flickered dark eyes sideways at his pensive mate, smiled slightly mournfully, and held his head up again, alert for the presence of either of his offspring. If he could do nothing else for her, at least he could keep the clan together. His practical side kicked in, hiding invisibly his inner pain, and he padded on, trying to impart confidence in both himself and Asa'nunu.

Ama Galu'nadi outwardly showed no emotion either way, his face intent on the task Us'kali had set before them. To find the rest of their pride so they could head to Star Grove. Inwardly, Ama held a slight smirk. He was pleased, very pleased. His experiment had worked, he could tell there was tension on both sides due to his foiling of thier little rondevous. Ama was not a stupid lion, nor was he quite like other's opinions of him. He had a good sense of what was good for his sister and family, and had a very good sense of what was good for his pride. Though he kept his views silent for the most part, when it came to his sister Kala, and his mother, Us'kali, he wasn't as quiet. Something didn't smell right with Aya'tas, and though he hadn't like Aya from the beginning, something worse was beginning to reek, more so than Aya's foul breath.
Seeing Aya throw his head up proudly, Ama rolled his eyes and snorted. He chose to ignore the almost threatening way Aya stalked over to him, knowing the other wouldn't dare anything in front of either adu'lai. Almost to himself, he let slip a mutter, not caring if the other heard or not. "Yeah, sure. Keep Kala thinking that way, don't try and convince me. I'm not as blind as my poor sister." Shaking his head, causing his mane to fluff out a bit, Ama began to pad in the direction that Kala most likely would have taken. Every bit as big as Aya, Ama was not going to be pushed around by someone who thought he deserved all the respect, yet hardly ever did anything to gain that respect. "Come brother, Kala and the others must be found quickly, if we are to make Star Grove tonight." Ama glanced over his shoulder to raise a brow at Aya, keeping another barb tipped comment to himself, though filing it away for future use.

Us'kali's eyes betrayed none of the frustration she felt. She knew why Ama kept such a close eye on Aya, and while in most circumstances she would have been displeased with such tension, she felt that, in this case, it was merited. Shaking her head, she sunk to the ground tiredly, her years weighing heavily upon her, although her ears continued to flick back and forth attentively...some habits died hard.

Aya'tas nodded dully to Ama. The way Ama was treating the situation of finding another member of the clan was like it was life or death. Aya really found the whole thing utterly boring, one lion could do this simply, but two was pure insanity. He trotted off ahead of Ama, his head still held high in his own arrogance, if it was so important they should be walking faster.
Even though he was a god several paces ahead of Ama, every now and then he would glance back into Ama's hatred filled eyes. They were so amusing to him, to think he would care what some lowly mama's boy lion would think of him. "Hmph." He left slip and padded off a little further, "She's this way." He pointed out and changed his direction minorly.

Tawa'di Kanati groaned as he layed his ancient body down onto the soft grass, his bones creaking a bit as he settled into position. The direct sunrays warmed his body, making his joints more bearable.
What couldn't be bearable was the weight of life resting on his boney shoulders. He shook his head to himself, wondering what he'd gotten into at such an old age. He should be more or less taken care of, not the other way around. But destiny was just that, and fate handed him the reins of leadership.
Stretching out his body, his head rested on it's side, he looked out through the grass at the land that was theirs, yet not. The homelands....he closed his eyes and fell asleep to his own desires of home, faintly smug that at least he was out on his on for once.

((I have no idea on where I should take Asegi xD))
Asegi sighed and slowly crept away from the other three lions, that cub looked occupied; she wouldn't want to play with him. He frowned and trotted off slowly, his nose twitching in the air, where was everyone and most importantly where was Tsi? He missed her.... Maybe she was at that one place.... The one all the lions were talking about... Star something... Star Grove! That was it, he'd go there. Tsi had probably heard the same things and was waiting there to play with him right now! His mother and father would be there too, they'd set off for that place too right? He grinned widely and the little wolf took off, a cloud of dust behind him, hoping he'd end up at the right place.
((Uh I know he's not a wolf, but I meant wolf as in wolf clan, just in case ya wondered biggrin ))

Asa'nunu twitched, whirling to see the cub Asegi running off. Agh, where was he going? She growled and nodded to U'yosi to find Tsi, and burst off after Asegi. At least he was headed in the right direction, straight for the Star Grove.
She would not have her only hope at ever having the large Clan back she once had killed by some stupid preybeast. Now that she was away from Aya, her perception was back. The Clan had to survive.
