Here's my opinion:
For hottest girl, definitely Tifa and not for the obvious reason. Any woman who is kind and can kick a** is hot in my book. Yuffie would be second.

Well if it's about the look then Vincent. He looks so mystical and somehow I fell in love with his eyes when I watched Advent Children. And the way he acts... heart

Well I clicked Red XIII because the person I did want isn't in the poll. crying
You're going to think I'm crazy, but I'd say Cid. At least, how he looks in Advent Children. I'm not happy with his voice in English (but in Japanese it's awesome).

I clicked Rufus, which I think is absolutely hot. I LOVE his smirk!!!
Vincent is second on my list, his past is extremely deep, and those eyes!! *faints*, though his emo-ness in DOC makes me want to punch him...
Cloud would be my third opinion.
Why isn't Lazard on the list? Possibly because he's from CC... Despite that, he's well educated, Rufus' older brother, which is how he inherited the hotness, and betrayed Shin-Ra from the inside! Give him some credit for being so daring! XD I just don't like the fact that he changed into an Angeal clone and died... *cries*
For girls,
Tifa's gorgeous, with her kindness and attitude towards others.
Elena's so underratted, you don't get to see much of her in Advent children, but on her card, she has this natural beauty that isn't really noticable, and in the game she's really cute. I think her naïveté can get on ones nerves after a while, but somehow, I find it adorable.
Yuffie is interesting, not to mention very funny in DoC, and the first game. It's pretty fun to read people portray her in fanfiction, since there's no real way to have Yuffie be OOC.
And Aerith is beautiful, it's really a shame that Sephiroth killed her *cries*
