Lois wasn't married in the movie though. She was engaged as Jimmy said in the beginning

jimmy: "Yeah valient reported Lois Lane is a Mommy"
clark breaks the glass in the pic
Clark:"oh she;s married?"
Jimmy: "Yeah...no, more like a prolonged engagement. But don't ask her when the date is...she hates that question"

um no... they aren't making a Smallville movie. Smallville is a TV show and Gough and MIllar intend to keep it that way

Well after watching the movie a couple times today...i'm confused...Smallville is in Kansas right?...and in the movie Metropolis is on the east coast, right?...so how the hell do they drive back and forth all the time in smallville O:

hahaha, yeah, it is funny that metropolis is on the coast. i've heard that metropolis really is supposed to represent New York. They just decided to call it Metropolis so they could do whatever they wanted to with it and also make it their own city in their own reality of the world (as opposed to a different comic series' reality of the world). Very interesting tho, that they have an ocean right next to Kansas. xd

Oh, I've seen Superman Returns three times, including watching it in IMAX.

I loved Kevin Spacey as Lex. I think that was one of my main motivations to visit the theater another two times. I FOUND HIM ATTRACTIVE, AND MY FRIEND THINKS I'M CRAZY. I DON'T CARE IF I AM. Brandon's really hot, too. Just a nice perk.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the movie. Light hearted at some points, and incredibly stressful and action-y at others. Whee!

As for the idea of the Smallville cast playing the roles... NO! I think Brandon made a fantastic Superman. As for Tom Welling, I really don't think he has that real Clark in him. I just can't picture him working as the goofball he is at times. I'm content.

As for Lex, Michael Rosenbaum is great... but so is Kevin Spacey. Kevin makes Lex seems a lot more threatening and experienced with his age. I mean, just imagine Michael in his place. I don't think it would be the same.

i like both casts so much. i understand them not using Tom Welling or any of the other characters although i'm sure it would have been great. but really, they're like different versions/parts of the same legend. kind of like the different comic versions of superman. i did think Kevin Spacey was awesome tho. (but so was most of the rest of the cast.)

Well In Smallville (the show) They do have Metropolis in the state of Kansas, but in a few of the comics it was basically a mixture of Chicago and New York. In the movie, since they pretty much based it off of the comics (to an extent) they filmed it in New York making it seem like it was New York, because if you remember in Superman III they did have him fly past the Statue of Liberty.

So you didn't have any idea what was going on did you? xd well i assume you at least had an idea? i strongly recommend either buying or renting the first 3 movies and if you can the fourth one. The fourth one is really hard to find though.

Oh man, if I were you, I would just get the first two movies. The third and fourth are just awful. They totally lacked the charm the first two had, and tried too hard to be funny.

However, I had a LOT of fun watching an angry, stubbled, drunk Superman hobble down the sidewalks as bystanders gasped in shock. Good times, good times.
