Didn't she see this in a romance movie recently? By the look in his eyes, she could tell some thoughts were processing, but she wasn't sure what. Whatever it was, it was making her heart rate go up. Apparently both their faces were getting into a war over who's could turn red faster.
"No problem," she stammered, biting her bottom lip nervously. "Goodnight Stephan."
However, like a deer in the headlights, she couldn't seem to make herself move back toward her doorway. What would you expect? She'd never been in this kind of situation before.

"Uh.." Alright, so he sounded kind of stupid, but he couldn't really help it. He was still standing there. But if he didn't move soon, he'd start looking creepy. He reached one arm behind his head and started to turn around, "I'll talk to you tommorow, or whenever." Well, that chance was blown, and he pretty much knew it as he started to jog down the stairs, counting them so he wouldn't go tumbling off at the end.

"Alright," she gave one last nervous smile. "Goodbye then."
He jogged down the stairs, leaving her alone at her doorway. Well that was sufficiently awkward. Still blushing, she slowly staggered her way to her door and fumbled for her keys. As she opened the door, a nagging part in the back of her mind told her, There's always next time...
