Yeah, I'm curious about how that'd work.
Another c00l adapter is the one that makes vertical flutes out of transverse ones, with a special headjoint.

You can't march with an oboe! Are you crazy? One wrong step and your reed is done for. Put you'd really have to have a perfect roll step to keep the reed steady... That's alot more work than it's worth.

That's alot more work than it's worth. That's why you carry extra reeds and it makes you learn how to roll step more perfectly! 3nodding

liek woah, people play oboes and bassoons. o_o. i'm one out of currently 3 bassoonists in my school, one being my friend and the other is some girl in a diffrent class and there might be more later on in begining band, but whatever. this is the start of my 2nd year at a bassoon, so i guess you could say i'm still a noob. well whatever. nice to know that people know what this instrument is, unlike prety much everyone i know, even some kids im my band didnt know what a basson was untill me and my friend got ours out. o_o /end rant.

We have one oboe player brave enough to play it during marching... the rest of the band makes jokes that one of these days he's going to trip and the reed is going to go through the roof of his mouth and kill him.
As a bassoon player, I play flute during marching. But I recently found a strap in one of the old bassoon cases at school that looks like its made so that I can march with bassoon. I can't wait to try it out.

this REALLY annoying kid in my band class plays trombone and he changed to the bassoon and he doesn't know how to play bassoon and we don't have any other trombones and we have NO bass section! He refuses to go back because he "idolizes double reeds" and he was complaining because he didn't know how to play double reed on the first few days of school and my BD insisted I teach him! xp

Judes probly won't like that too well and the people watching the parades are gonna be like: "What the hell?"
