arrow Dragon's Eye Lake

NPC
: Fredith & Bron

Bron stepped up to Fredith and touched the brown dragon's rough, leathery hide for a moment, greeting his partner. Then he turned to address the hatchlings. He noticed many of them looking up in awe of Fredith and smiled inwardly, proud of his dragon. Fredith rumbled his pleasure as well, chuckling.

Bron cleared his throat again. "Well, everyone. This is my dragon, Fredith. Quite large, eh?" He grinned. "Get used to it. Your dragons will be very big someday, too. Especially yours, Terrance." He gestured at her gold queen, then continued. "But you need to treat 'em right. Today we'll go through the basics." He continued the speech he usually gave to all new riders: how often they should feed their dragons, how much, how to exercise their dragons...

As he spoke, he noticed the group beginning to fidget, losing interest. He could understand why; he was throwing a lot of information at them, but it was tough for them to absorb it all at once. He decided to begin their first activity of the day. "Dragonriders!" he called suddenly, jolting many from their daydreams. "Today we're going to practice bathing and oiling your dragon's skin. This is important for dragons; dry skin is very uncomfortable for dragons. Now, I want you all to partner up. Grab a partner, and a bucket of oil and a couple rags from over here. Once you're ready, I'll show you the proper ways to clean your dragon."

And he will demonstrate on me, Fredith rumbled in their minds, the first time he had spoken. His voice was gruff, but not unkind.

"Alright? Now get to it! Partners, everyone!" Bron called.

Asha paled visibly.
Bath?
Here?
Now?
In the Water?
Merciful Water God.
Can't she bath him alone?
Somewhere else?
Not that she minded bathing her dragon, it's the fact they were ALL here.
She had to think fast. How will she get out of this? Maybe she didn't had to participate? She can, watch? And do Asteroth's bath at her own leisure.
Calling out to her dragon to hide from view as best as possible.
Maybe she won't be noticed.

arrow Dragons lake

Asha stayed behind as the rest gleefully went to learn the lesson.
Picking the saftey behind the tree she stayed there for the duration of the time.
Praying to the water gods she doesn't get asked to help out or anything.
She can pretty much clean her own dragon, she don't need to do it hands one with another dragon to know how.

((IMPORTANT: Everyone, I am going back to school on Monday, and I wanted to let you know that I will be unable to roleplay while I'm in school. I go to a boarding school, which makes it incredibly difficult to find time to come online.

However, even though I will not actively be participating in the rp, I will still have time on weekends to maintain the upkeep of this rp. I will still be taking applications and updating the threads. I may even post in character updates to how my character is doing. For now, I'm going to just say that Terrance and Evith went on a business trip to another Weyr-- they needed to visit the other Weyrleaders to make formal introductions. You'll hear from them from time to time.

Please, don't feel like this means that D.E.W. will go inactive. If you want to keep the rp going, by all means... keep rp'ing! Make up cool plotlines, etc. This world is yours!

I'm sorry to do this to you guys. I hate taking on a responsibility and then having to lay it down again. But I wanted to do this, to get D.E.W. up and in shape before I left to school. The threads are all redone, and there is an advertisement on Refuge's thread in the guild forum. If more people become interested in this, then more will come to rp and it won't go inactive.

Please keep D.E.W. going. It has a lot of promise. Thank you.))

Clicking her tongue to get Asteroth's attention.
She slowly walked out of view.
She perfered the solace and not company.
Though she knew, deep inside, if she's to keep Asteroth, she herself had to change.
Right now, she just wasn't ready.
She just wasn't up to this sudden change in her life so suddenly.
It was'nt that it was hard or anything, she just dislikes sudden changes. Especially in unfamiliar terrain. And on land no less. No, not land, up in the skies.

"I really am in something big."

"Things will go alright in time. Patience my Asha."

"Hmm."

arrow En route to Dragon's Eye Lake

Kiarya, lost as usual, glared at Saliyath and grumbled, "I thought you knew where we were going!"

"I thought I did too," came the small dragon's responce, "It's not my fault you have no sence of direction."

"Me? ME!?" the panther demon hissed at her dragon-partner, "Who's the one who was all 'I know exactly where we're going! Follow me!'?"

Saliyath grumbled and continued to "follow her nose" in the direction that she knew carried the scent of other dragons.

arrow Walking away from the lake

Asha walked besides her bronze dragon.
Muttering words of where would she be living at?
It's not like she could use that lake.
And he coudln't breath underwater.
The though of living in a dormitory like enviornment with other people was unnerving to her.
Even the though that she might have to share it didn't went that well.
She tried, oh she tried to have a positive outlook, really she did.
But living many years alone is a hard habit to just break.
Not that she needed friends. She was happy with Asteroth.
Rubbing her head in frusterations.
So many question, so little answers.
WAS this really the life she wanted?
WAS she prepared for this new life that was now put on her mantle?
Oh god of the sea, she wasn't ready for this?
She was still a child to her people. In a grown girls body.
She was cold, selfish, arrogant, rude.
Now she might have to break out of that habit to 'fit' in.
So deep in thought about she did not notice her dragon took a sad look, his eyes sad.
